If I don't care about the VG/PG being exact, would this work?
submitted about 10 years ago by FoxxyRin

Basically, my boyfriend and I vape different nic levels. I vape at 0mg and he vapes at 6mg. Doubling up on juices gets kind of hectic and it's so much cheaper to buy it in bigger bottles than multiple smaller bottles. So, I started looking into adding my own nicotine, but I'm a bit confused on the whole pg/vg calculation stuff. Is there a calculator for adding nicotine, and not mixing juice from scratch? Most calculators ask for things such as the amount of flavoring added, which I don't know since I didn't make it!

I was looking at this thread, and was wondering if I could (for ease of everything) just add 1ml of 100mg pg-based nicotine per 15ml of pre-made ejuice, and ignore the pg/vg ratio if I'm not that picky about it? The reason I ask is because we typically get 50/50, but there's a few juices we want that vary (such as Milk Meee by ADVC, which is 85vg/15pg). So if I'm not too picky about altering the pg/vg ratio, that should work, right? Or am I missing something? (Also, yes, I know adding 1ml would be the tiniest touch higher than 0.96ml, but I'm just trying to make this as simple as possible so I can just mix him a few batches with ease.)

You can get your nic base in 50/50 PG/VG.

What's the best brand? I was looking at Wizard Labs and they only have 100% of PG or VG when it comes to the 100% base.

I've got Nude Nicotine, they have 100 PG, 100 VG, or 50/50 and 70/30 (in either direction) available.

I use E-Liquid Calculator on android and what I do is use the simple calc to see what I need to add to the bottle. it asks for the base and target nic as well as the water and flavors. if I am just adding nic to a juice I put in 0 for water and 0 for flavor and it will tell me how much nic to add to a bottle.to get to 6 mg with 100mg nic is around 1.8 ml for a 30 ml bottle. hope this helps.

Yes it does! I didn't know that I could just put zero for the flavor, but now that you say it it makes so much sense. I think I was over-thinking it when I got to the calculator, haha~ Thank you so much for your help!

If you have a 30 ml bottle of 6mg juice, there are 180mg of nicotine total in that bottle. To make a 30ml of 0mg into a 30ml of 6mg, you'd add 1.8ml of 100mg nic. If you want to use a calculator, you could just ignore everything besides the nic you're trying to add and be fine. Most people won't notice if their juice is off by a mg or so.

Make sure to mix it up before you use it as well so you don't vape straight nicotine.

It shouldn't matter that much since your vaping at 50/50 anyway, that means you're not allergic to VG or PG.
