So, as a cereal-obsessed DIYer, I try to test out new cereal flavors when people tell me there's something new and different on the market. Lately, Cuttwood's new fruity cereal juice, Bird Brains, has been getting a fair amount of hype, specifically because it's supposedly a good, lemon-free fruity cereal vape. Naturally, I had to try it, because while I think I've mastered TFA Fruit Circles and it can make quite a good cereal juice, I haven't stopped experimenting with other approaches. For example, I was able to accidentally clone Charlie Noble's Treasure Island v2 (the non-lemony version) while messing around with building a fruit loops flavor from scratch with FA. Since I hate Charlie Noble's Treasure Island v2, that was a failure.
I've also been playing with TFA's new cereal flavors recently (as mentioned in my other recent cereal thead), so I thought I'd combine my initial review of those flavors with a discussion about non-lemony fruit cereal vapes, specifically the aforementioned Treasure Island v2 accidental clone & the new Bird Brains). I won't be rating these flavors, as I think it's premature to rate anything before mixing with it for a month+. I also can't conjecture about the Deeper DIY aspects yet much since the TFA Component Bible still has basically no cereal flavor Component Lists uploaded...
TFA Captain Cereal - I think this is my favorite. It's basically Berry Crunch without the slightly-rotten berry notes, which means you could theoretically build a legit crunchberries with this now. It's also promising for using as the crunch/grain note that most fruit cereals are missing, which is probably the part that was the toughest for me to nail down when I was making my fruit circles mixes. I think there's a bit of AP in this too, unlike Berry Crunch, but the component list isn't up to confirm yet. Combined with FA Cookie, I think this is a winner (and it may supercede TFA Rice Crunchies in my cereal grain combo).
TFA Lucky Leprechaun - This is mainly a sweet, slightly oat-smelling marshmallow flavor that adds mouthfeel and moisture. So far the best luck I've had with this was using it to add creaminess akin to FA Marshmallow, and I think it will work well with FA Meringue & TFA Toasted Marshmallow for that aspect of cereal flavoring. Need to experiment more with this.
TFA Silly Rabbit: Not too impressed with this one initially. I plugged it in in place of Fruit Circles in a couple of my simpler early cereal mixes as well as /u/tet5uo's Not-Tonguefuck, and I got a sense of a slightly orangey fruit cream, with little to no cereal notes and not much definition to the flavor. I wasn't not really sure what I would do with this one, so I set it aside for the moment.
Fruit Circles w/ Milk - This tastes like standard fruit circles with the lemon pledge turned way down. Unfortunately, that also (IMO) destroys most of its resemblance to Fruit Loops. I think they probably combines the components of FC w/ Sweet Cream and Dairy/Milk, but unfortunately not even OG Fruit Circles' has a posted component list, so developing my own non-lemon pledge fruity cereal flavor is still a distant dream.
That's all for the TFA cereal flavors, for now, but to follow up on what I said about non-citrusy fruit loops vapes, check out the Very Cereal Discussion thread I linked above. As far as Cuttwood's Bird Brains, it's not bad (worlds better than Treasure Island v2) but it's also pretty far off the mark for what I'd want from a non-FC fruity loops/pebbles mix. I'm far from certain about this (I've only just gotten Bird Brains) but I think I might taste a little bit of TFA Silly Rabbit and maybe just a tiny bit of Fruit Circles w/ Milk too. I'd like to hear what everyone else thinks about this kind of flavor, and hear any recipes with the new TFA Cereal flavors.
Bonus note: FLV's new flavors (rich cinnamon, cream, crunch cereal, and so on) show a lot of promise too. I was working on a mix like the one /u/Botboy141 posted but I've been to busy to finish it, so I highly recommend checking his out. Flavorah has continued to churn out many excellent flavors and they've filled in some of the gaps in my ever-growing arsenal. I look forward to their next additions, and I'll be doing a post about their stuff whenever I find the time to finish the recipe I mentioned.

I've been playing with Silly Rabbit and I think I've nailed my Trix recipe. I find Trix to be pretty lemony but depending on your affinity for pledge you can go up to .5% on the MTS to reduce the lemon bite.

Wow thanks for the notes. FLV Rich cinnamon is wicked good. I have almost 1/4 bottle left and went and ordered another bottle (Wow it's expensive too). Looking forward to trying out their Lemon and Yogurt as well.
Yeah, it's insanely good (and not at all red hots). I've never had a cinnamon like it before either. So good.
I wish FLV would do a 'pastry' flavor. Just plain fila dough, a buttery crispy delicate flavor I have been aching for without added cinnamon.
Lets see that charlie noble clone lol! I absolutely hated one of their versions, I cant remember which one. To me and my co-worker the bird brains tastes almost exactly like the cereal killer clone with some other things added. Silly rabbit might be in it, I know for almost a fact it doesnt have any fruit circles. its definitely a combo of meringe/hazlenut/ bergamot.
i def don't taste any FC either, but I get some notes that remind me of FC w/ milk's potential, though I haven't gotten it to work at all decently yet. I am not sure I taste too much of CK in Cuttwood though. It'd less citrusy than the CK clone by a long shot.
I recently got some Lucky Leprechaun and Silly Rabbit to play with too and came to same sort of conclusions.
Lucky Leprechaun definitely goes well with FA meringue as you said, and actually mixes nice with Berry Crunch and a touch of Fruit Circles too.
Silly Rabbit I am with you and not really sure what to make of it and also set it aside for now. It's very subtle and doesn't seem to add much to anything I tried it in.

I LOVE; strong, lemony, pack a punch to the throat, tastes like over powered fruit loops, just smack you in the face and then rip out your throat cereals....Ok maybe I exaggerated the description But all the hype seems to be around the milky milky slightly cereal vapes
IDK too each their own, just feel alone on this one constantly XD. I only want a very slight milky undertone. and lemony, slightly harsh,impact cereal.

Hi returnity, You should order a bottle of Slurp - JÜS from Indy E Cig online store. I only have seen it in two B&M one in Nashville and one in PCB Florida. They make it up in Indianapolis I believe. It is similar to Bird Brains, but IMHO much better.
So far I think the secret of a good Froot Loops or Pebbles juice will be Bergamot. It seems to give that Lemon/Orange flavor that is artificial.
So at this point it isn't the creme that I am worried about because Meringue, Marshmellow, or Malted milk will basically all be pretty much preference along with Yellow Cake (FW), Meringue (FA), Hazelnut (FW), Fresh Cream (FA).
. Tangerine-FW and/or Orange-FA with some Bergamot-FA should make the orange part spot on. I like the Orange more then tangerine. Tangerine is more like Orange Crush drink mix to me,
So, The part I am researching most now is what other fruit flavors to use. What I am looking for is stuff that isn't super sweet like candy and also not very overpowering. If you have any experience with the following flavors I would love to know which versions would work best in a cereal vape.

During the search I ran into another DIY Hobby that is used for mixing fragrances called Essential Oils. A very popular mix of oils was a recipe Blend for Pebbles / Fruit Loops. I found the blend below on about 6 different websites calling for the following.
- Grapefruit
- Lemongrass
- Bergamot
I am left to think that I should really be looking for a Grapefruit flavor, but again.. It needs to be something less candy like and something that will blend well with the Bergamot Orange.
Anyways, If you get the change go check out Slurp - JÜS from Indy E Cig. It IMO is close to Bird Brains, but much much more close to a Cereal vape then Bird Brains. Another good one is Pebbles by Glas, but Slurp beats it hands down.
I myself tried all the flavors you mentioned above and was just not satisfied, TFA fruit circles just seems like a poor choice for us to even tinker with unless you just don't mind or maybe like the Pledge, Silly Rabbit was Non-Tart Skittles. Lucky Lep was very weak but a decent standalone with Marshmellow, like you said above. TFA Captain Cereal sounds decent.
I also want to try the OneOnOne Fruity Pebbles to see what it tastes like.

/u/trecenters Did you get to try the OneOnOne fruity pebbles? I just ordered their cereal sample pack along with a bunch of other sample packs and I'm excited to try them out.... Hopefully their flavors aren't a let down like I found Liquid Barn to be.
I have not ordered their versions only because I haven't seen anyone stating good experiences with those concentrates. They may be decent for all I know.. I am sure you will have to doctor them up with cremes and such. I have been researching Fruity Pebbles for some time now and I don't think there is a fruit concentrate out there to mimic the good premiums I have had "Slurp by JUS" or even Bird Brains.

Edit: I was hoping they would give me some sort of flavor profile of the Eight Different Versions of concentrates or at least more then "Yes, Our Flavors contain a Lemon note." You have Version 1 through 4 of Fruit Loops and the same with Pebbles. How is any customer going to know which version to get?
I was researching it as you posted even. It has been a non-stop habbit for months now. I have a cart full at Bull City Vapor right now and I am sorting through what might work. I wish I could afford them all and get it over with.
So far I can't tell any of the flavor notes in slurp. I can tell there is an Orange or Tangerine. I sometimes smell cherry. I have no idea what Milky note that is and I am running out of creams to actually buy. My last order I tried Dulce de Leche-TFA , but that isn't what I taste as the creme. I am trying to find a Milky Coconut this time to see if that is what I taste. Then there is the actual Wheat or Corn Mill taste they have in it. I still haven't came across that one also. I am getting Rice Crunchies-TFA, Rice Treat-FW, TFA-Oatmill Cookie, C. Crunch Berries-FW, Cherry Crush-FW, Creamy Yogurt-Cap, and a host of other stuff. I am getting Tropical Creme Breeze-FW also just because I want to know what the heck it is. I can make a great Lucky Charm vape from TFA LL and some basic fruits and French Vanilla Creme. I am almost betting that TFA LL is just Rice Crunchies-TFA and Marshmellow-TFA.
I am also searching to master the cereal vapes, even though everyone says that phase has already come and gone, I think it is truly only because no one has nailed it and if they have they kept it to themselves and started a premium line. Don't get me wrong I don't blame them, the market for juice lines is beyond cluttered, you need to keep your best recipes personal. I find that fruit circles actually makes the best fruit loops recipe I have found, even better than commercial juices I have tried. The first half a dozen times I mixed it were awful then I learned how to tone down the lemon pledge without the need for smooth or MTS, etc. It is essentially like when you are cooking a dessert and add a pinch of salt to smooth out the sweetness and make it not overly rich most of the time.
I am trying to master trix and fruit pebbles right now, I don't expect OOO's flavors to be a simple shake and vape and magic fruit pebbles taste, I just wanted to see if they were something I could essentially mold into what I am trying to accomplish because I do feel that fruity pebbles and trix are not to be fruit circles based, maybe as a background note, but not the star of the show by any means.
I currently have a fruity pebbles recipe that I think tastes really good, and some people tell me it tastes just like my local B&M's version of fruit pebbles, but it still isn't one of those grab it vape it and drop your jaw it's so accurate flavors yet. Mixing has turned me into more of a perfectionist than I already was.... I spend hours just tasting one recipe and tweaking it 6 different ways on a daily basis.
I have also been told my Cool Blue recipe tastes like Vapor Trails Mana Potion, but I haven't had any big name juices as I started mixing my own a few months after getting into vaping and haven't looked back.... I have spent about $400+ on flavorings and PG/VG/Nic, and supplies. I am invested in DIY lol.

Yeah, I will agree that the mix you made is probably better then the the diy fruit loops and probably better then Looper or Nark. Actually I think there are two flavor profiles. One is loops and one is pebbles. Looper is lemon loops. Bird Brains seems kind of in the middle. and Slurp is more citrus orange with hints of cherry and lime loops and pebbles. Also I notice the fruits being the main notes in the diy loops and looper. Bird brains is about even with fruit and creme. Slurp is more 75/25 milk/fruit. Yet its more like whole milk with just enough sweet and just enough fruit notes. Also has a fortune cookie cereal taste like the Actual pebbles. I am surprised slurp has as much volume as it does. A very full taste but nothing overly done.
