I sampled some King's Crown - Claim Your Throne long ago. I liked it, and most importantly, my SO said she likes it a lot. She's not that enthusiastic of a vaper as I am, and has relapsed to cigs a few times. Naturally I want to make her vaping experience more pleasant.
I also started DIY'ing a bit more than a month ago, so from there sprouted my dire need to clone the juice. I took this widely posted clone recipe:

All TPA. So I mixed this up, sampled it fresh, let it age for two weeks, no. It wasn't even close to me. It was vapable, but not good. The Sweet Cream made it soapy and the result was somewhat.. one-dimensional with a tinge of weird? I didn't have the original juice at hand so I fiddled with the recipe just with my olfactory memory and whatnot.
I got to sample more of the original and had an epiphany with some flavors (OH MAN THAT'S DEFINITELY CAP CUSTARD IN THERE) and so forth. And fiddled more.
At this time I had made a few other recipes of my own, in addition to recipes touted in here, and kinda enjoyed them. I was also about to order a bunch of flavors. I then pondered pretty hard why I was trying to clone the juice. That's when I stopped cloning the juice. I realised I was trying to take too big of a bite right away, and decided to just do something good
And what do you know, as soon as I stepped away from trying to figure out a clone, I actually did something good. Something very good. I love this recipe and my SO loves it even more than the King's Crown stuff.

^(V2 changes added 24/08/15. Identical flavor profile, but less custard popping up when aging over 2 weeks. If you like custard, do the V1.)
Aging mellows the TPA butterscotch, which can be pretty assertive. I like this the next day nice and rough, but you might want to let the creams mellow things out a bit.
So yeah. It's a butterscotch vape and I really really like it. The reason I think this was worthy of a post is that this month-long experiment changed how I think of DIY. Can't quite put it to words, but I guess I was taking this too seriously right off the bat. I think this relaxing epiphany will help me along the way.

Kings Crown and Butterscotch capes are some of my favorite things in life. I'll give this one a shot and let you know what I think. See if you can get the recipe up on ELR and it'll be easier to remember to give feedback!

Awesome I'm gonna try this...do you think I can sub out the toasted marshmallow with equal regular marshmallow? (I think I'm running low on the toasted..)
Haven't tried this with regular, but toasted has a certain flavor to it that, to me, is essential in this. YMMV :)
I use a combination of TFA, FW, and FA Butterscotch for a good flavored butterscotch pudding vape. By itself TFA is lacking somewhat. The key point is that you found something your SO can vape and stay off the cigs.
Yes, exactly. I was so into the mixing and the goal of making a clone, I forgot what this is really all about. Affordable and good juice. I haven't tried other butterscotches, but I like the hard hollow sharpness of this. It might throw some people off, especially when not steeped.
