Where did you get that stand? I need something like this! All of my flavors are just sitting in a plastic box.

by adorethisworldabout 10 years ago

ebay.. Its the 70 nail varnish stand , the green one to the right is a garden kneel pad £1 from wilkinsons, then attacked with a 21mm drill bit...

Ive been vaping for nearly a year, and fed up with paying high prices for so called premium juice, so.. let the diy commence..

by stevedave2020about 10 years ago

I would, but it's just paper towel on the counter with whatever ingredients and syringes I'm mixing with. Then all the supplies get washed and thrown into a box. :/

2 points

by BuryMeInSmokeabout 10 years ago

Mine's about the same. A cardboard box of supplies in a wardrobe and a cheap plastic foldout table that has an old computer and some dirty dishes on it at the moment haha.

by zdigglerabout 10 years ago

Get a used one. much cheaper.. labs and school pay too much for those thing. I got IKA RET B S1 with Fuzzy Temp Controller (PWM) for $99 on ebay.. It was beat up but temp control works great.

1 points

by simletabout 10 years ago

It's all paid for itself by selling juice. Big initial investment but worked out in the long run.

1 points

by CryptoNerdabout 10 years ago

How long did you DIY before you felt comfortable selling your creations? Also, post a link to your online store if you have one!

I saw this posted he other day and still think it looks so awesome. Any specific need for the ultra portability?

1 points

by phil_1ppabout 10 years ago

When I built it, i had in mind to take it to work so my coworkers and I can mix in lunch-break. Though this still hasn't happened yet, its very practical to store everything neatly. I take it out, mix, and put it away again.

1 points

by ThirdWorldOrderabout 10 years ago

Wow man this is truly awesome. I'm sorry my shitty post is at the top, because this is the best I've seen.

My not so portable mixing station:

http://imgur.com/U4r7ZSc

I keep everything packed up and in the top of the closet.

And... my OCD kicked in the other day and got all of my flavors organized: http://m.imgur.com/74BAAgb

3 points

by CryptoNerdabout 10 years ago

Awesome! I like the use of packing peanuts to keep things organized

1 points

by mentiveabout 10 years ago

It was sort of random. How can I get these to stay in their place without filling the whole thing, or considering when I have a few new ones come in... what do I have laying around... cardboard, peanuts, and lots of baggies. Hmmm, perfect! Lol

Holy mother of flavors...

2 points

by PierGarrettinniabout 10 years ago

I'm curious. Even with that collection; how often do you have the thought 'shit, I'm missing that one flavor for my recipe'?

2 points

by stormy1960about 10 years ago

Not very often anymore...when I started diy in 2013 it was an everyday occurrence. Every recipe I came across or tried to come up with was always short 1 or two Flavors. Drove me bat shit crazy....then I decided to stop trying every new flavor combo that was supposedly the next big thing and focused on my flavor profile, what I liked..that's when I learned simple was better. Find a strawberry you like and enhance it with a touch of lemon...its a not strawberry lemonade, but a bright strawberry or whatever main flavor you choose. Standalone favors with just a few enhancers are very underrated. I learned to stop adding a drop of this and that to everything and totally fucking it up..although I do have several very complex recipes. Oops sorry a little more than you asked for I will shut up now

1 points

by PierGarrettinniabout 10 years ago

I really appreciate that. It's good to know that there is a finish line in sight

Not anything special. Just an airtight box on the table. Whatever works, righr?

by CryptoNerdabout 10 years ago

So many phlayvers. I'm still trying to decide what to purchase to get started so I hope to have a collection like yours going. What are your favorite?

2 points

by coop34about 10 years ago

I might as well join the fun.All alphabetical and stuff. First is ready to mix(almost). Second is ready to be discreetly hid away in dark closet. Third is, well, just showing off our handiwork backsplash from a couple weekends ago.

1 points

by CryptoNerdabout 10 years ago

I like how everything can be put back away neatly. My SO would appreciate this versus assigning a designated area. Also, great work on the back splash!

1 points

by coop34about 10 years ago

Yeah, I tried the designated area, didnt like the smells. Since those boxes are airtight, problem solved! Thanks
