Wipe down the bottles with (91%) isopropyl alcohol first , labels will stick great . Never had a label not stick after using that .

Thanks I'll try that.

Make sure the bottle is dry after wiping it down though, the alcohol should evaporate almost instantly after wiping it down but just make sure.

Yeah I'm gonna redo all of them in the morning. I don't like that crappy look.

I just cut a slim piece of paper, write the juice info on it, and stick it on with packing tape lol.

I go one step more ghetto: sharpie right on the bottle; cover with scotch tape.

I always leave a tail at the end of the tape folded over on itself so that I can have any hope of peeling it off in a couple weeks.

I'm glad that I'm not the only one that's ghetto when it comes to labeling bottles, lmao.

I write on masking tape and stick it on. It comes off clean when I'm done.

Which probably worked better than mine. Lol

My husband got them for me and I think it was on Amazon. I'll make sure when I talk to him today and if it's somewhere else I'll let you know. Lol btw that's not dirt on my wall, a bar height table scraped the paint so please don't think it's dirt. Lol

Ok he said yes he got them on Amazon but he didn't use prime,he got them from a third party and he got 4 cheaper than 3 buying through prime. Try looking under acrylic storage.

Get one of these.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005X9VZ70?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00

Amazing price, really easy to use. I have had no problem with labels sticking to glass and plastic bottles. I'll never use those shitty paper/adhesive labels again. Plus, these new labels peel right off when you need them too, with no residue. Also, the roll of tape it comes with has gotten me through labelling about 40 bottles and I still have tape on the roll.

Every DIY'er should own one of these. Clear, durable labels are a big priority for safety.

The labels look like this. This is at 10pt font. You can go up to 20pt I think.

Oh my goodness, I've wanted one of these forever. Had no idea they were so in expensive. Thanks so much, I'm getting one as soon as I can. (Bought another Subox kit today)

Excellent! Glad to help.

Do you like the subox? I want one so badly. Need to upgrade from my KBOX/Nano.

Yes I do like it, I have the white one and just ordered the black. I'm trying to learn to build the RTA.

Try dipping them in a water/vinegar mixture. Just a touch of vinegar in the water... but that will remove any oils that might still be on the bottle. We have some labels that were TERRIBLE like that for a long time. Dipping doesn't fix it, but it really helps!

necessity is the mother of invention. :)

And you are not alone. I have a few bottles from another vendor and every one of them has the label popped open like they want a hug. :)

You need to try the pleasing peanuts. Omg, good!

1 points

by rabidnzabout 10 years ago

I put my bottles in a dish of hot water after mixing then wipe thoroughly with a microfibre, helps it mix together and the labels always stick. Using brother dk labels at the moment.

by vapingrammyabout 10 years agoOne of "The Damned"

These were just mailing labels. They made a mess with my bottles lol.

To me it is, you could make many mls from the ingredients and it is delicious!!

by shrine399about 10 years agoMixologist

oils from your hands can make labels not stick, I have this issue with glass bottles. Try wearing gloves after before handling the bottles, or after washing them. It really made a huge difference for me going from labeling without gloves to labeling with gloves.

1 points

by vapingrammyabout 10 years agoOne of "The Damned"

Yeah I had gloves on to mix but took them off. I thought I had wiped the bottles good enough but I guess not.

1 points

by shrine399about 10 years agoMixologist

I would wipe them with a sanitizing wipe, then let them dry, then go to label them (gloves off), and get frustrated at the labels not sticking. The second I touched the label without gloves on (they weren't the BEST labels, but definitely not the worst) they would no longer stick properly. Had to wear gloves the entire time handling the bottles.

by vapingrammyabout 10 years agoOne of "The Damned"

Oh ok. I never even thought of doing that. I'm definitely going to try it. I think I'm going to order a small label maker this week. Might as well do it sort of right if I'm gonna DIY.

I got some dollar general brand tape to put over my labels. It sticks the best and is crystal clear. Generic for the win!

Silver Aluminum Foil Tape

Holds onto the bottles well, and looks pretty. You can scotch tape over it if the sharpie is wearing off too quickly

Standard acrylic adhesive has a difficult time especially with paper labels being wrapped around a tight radius like that. You would be better off using a synthetic label material with a rubber based adhesive. Let me know if you want more info.

Are you using glass dropper or plastic squeeze bottles?

These are glass.
