So today I decided not to mix. not work on my recipe's. Not to do theory crafting of flavor profiles or anything. for two hours now I have just been going through some of my most common flavors. and mixing 5 ml batches at about 1-7% depending on the flavor and its strength.
I haven't done this to any flavors since the first time I did it.
I figured it would be pretty interesting to go through and do a lot of them again. and re write notes. Towards the end of the day I will be going back and comparing them to my old notes I still have on them that I have compiled into a note book.
This should be interesting and useful :)
I'm curious, how you organize your flavor notes for yourself? I'm just starting out and I am sitting here waiting for my first order to come, dreaming about a simple methodology for testing.
flavor notes I actually separate onto different pages and place them individually In a 3 ring binder with page protectors. This Way I can organize them and I have them in Alphabetical Order and Seperated by company.
TFA Flavor Profiles:
(insert alphabetical ordered note pages)
CAP
and so on.
Coming from someone with OCD, it really grinds my gears that you alphabetize the flavors, but TFA is before CAP.
Thanks for the reply. I had something like that in mind exactly (but maybe using OneNote), and I wonder, are your notes free form or do you have specific questions you ask yourself for each one? Would you be willing to post a super quick phone snapshot of one page out of it? I'm sitting here placing my first order, and after that, all I have to do is wait and plan. :)
Where can I find flavour notes people have posted? I would love to do some reading before making my next order of flavours!
bro it took me abt 1.5 seconds to find this In the sidebar. I searched "flavor notes" lol. seems to be some good stuff there. just roll through the comments for a while.
Nothing will beat you taking your own notes though and gettig a solid idea for what your working with.
