Hey guys, I haven't posted anything like this in this sub other than a recipe or two, but I'd like to contribute a little as I migrate communities. Vets, please feel free to chime in as my methods may not be what some would call standard and what's best for me might not be best for you, but that doesn't make anyone "wrong". It just broadens the way for others to approach mixing in their own.
I'm going to focus on flavors here. No VG Ratio, what nic i'm using, ect. Adapt this to what works for you.
LOOMA!
Brand | Flavor | % ---|---|----|---- CAP | Harvest Berry | 5.5 | FA | Forest Fruit | 4.5|
I'm using these two flavors as a base flavor to begin. I've sampled these flavors individually and become familiar with their profiles. This is the best way for me to really get to understand a flavor and what I can do with it.
Flavour Art's Forest Fruit - Like most FA flavors, this one is strong and some, including myself, would say 4% is kind of high. And it totally is. This fruity mix is really hard to point down what it tastes like but I'll try my best. It's like the sweetness of FA Fuji and flavor of INW cactus. Forest fruit is whats going to give the real punch here. It's got a lot of sharp points but need a background layer to carry it through the exhale.
Capella's Harvest Berry - This is a more herbal berry than anything. It's strong points are a blackberry and background strawberry . I believe It labels it self as also a blueberry and raspberry mix but those are hard to point out. It's exhale is sweet and smooth.
These two combine into a fruit cocktail that is easily an ADV right off the bat. FA Forest fruit brings the upfront tart punch and CAP Harvest Berry helps bring it down on the exhale.
Now after some tweaking I have a base. What I like to do when I find a base is grab a bottle of each and mix into a calculator as if I was mixing 200ml + of it without any VG, PG, ect so I end up with just the flavor mix alone in higher volume. I'll leave everything as individual flavors to make it easier.
I want to bring out more of my capella's exhale and that's where INW's Raspberry comes in!
Inawera's Raspberry - Like most INW flavor's, it's AMAZING if used right. It's pretty potent stuff and I feel like anything above 1% becomes too floral. I prefer INW's Raspberry as a background and FA's Raspberry as an upfront. With it's floral undertones it will mix great with my Harvest Berry!
INW Raspberry | .5% ---|---
Alright Now I want to change up Forest Fruit a bit. I like it, but I want it a little more juicy and I want to bring it out more as a focal point. INW Cactus and FA Fuji are going to do that work for me.
INW Cactus - I've never eaten a cactus before. I have no idea what they taste like, so I relate it to a mix fruit taste kind of like FA Forest Fruit but instead of a sharp taste, It is much more earthy and juicy. I haven't used enough of it to the point where I disliked it, but I really enjoy it in the background at about .5-2%
Flavour Art's Fuji - Personally my favorite apple. Sharp, bold Fuji Apple. A great stand alone, but it should be known that this can make a fruity recipe POP with just a few drops.
INW Cactus | .6% ---|---
FA Fuj| .3% ---|---
I've gone and tried a lot past this, but honestly love it right where it's at. Feel free to add any flavor's, notes, or suggestions. I hope this helped but most importantly I hope you enjoy LOOMA!
wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!
Awesome post, thanks!
Forest Fruit is my second favourite flavour and my #1 "here, taste this juice. It's awesome right? I made it myself" crowd pleaser flavour. I'm gonna have to try this out.
Is there a 1-stop-shop online that carries all these flavours?
