Just something tasty that I've been playing around with. Basically, I've been on a bit of a citrus kick lately. Squirt is a decent little soft-drink I've enjoyed, and decided I'd recreate something similar in vape form.
This is super yummy, slightly tangy, quite sweet with the right notes for Squirt. It's definitely not perfect, but quite the refreshing summer based citrus vape.
8% FW Lemonade
1.5% FA Lime Distilled
1.5% FLV Pink Guava
1% FLV Tropical Citrus
1% TFA Sweetener
0.5% EM (10%) or TFA Cotton Candy
The EM is mostly noticeable on the inhale with the sweetener doing its part on the tail of the exhale.
As I said, simple but quite tasty. For those that don't know, Squirt is basically sprite but with a grapefruit hint to it.
Enjoy folks!
Edit: MAX VG, vapeable after a solid shake but it may take some time for the cloudiness to clear up (especially if you thin it with some distilled water).
Edit 2: Add 0.5-1% Koolada or 0.2% Menthol (10%) if you'd prefer your Squirt served chilled.
A few too many flavours I don't have here, though I'd love to try it. Maybe one day. I have a question about the sweetener though - I always assumed tfa sweetener was exactly the same as ethyl maltol, do they actually have different tastes? (The only one I was aware that's different is lorann cotton candy, which has a very distinct candy floss taste.)
Sweetener is basically sucralose or sucrose (I always forget which) diluted in PG. Ethyl Maltol is an entirely different sweetener.
Sucralose is often found in "premium" brand off the shelf juices and has a bit of a lingering liquid sugar flavor on your tongue. Ethyl Maltol sweetens (and at high percentages tastes like cotton candy) but in most juices I tend to use it more for the way it manipulates mouthfeel.
EM also tends to mute flavors over time which I don't notice nearly as much with Sweetener.
That's very useful, thank you. I'd assumed they were all the same but note I need to try it out! Is tfa sweetener the best one to get or could I get a generic version that works the same?
