Not gonna lie I was pretty pissed off when he's like "this is gonna change vaping!!!!" I mean how many times in the past year or two alone has a mod or RDA come out and it's like, "throw every mod you have away because all you need is this". So you save up a little, go out and buy it a month or two after its released, and next month it's all "000MMGGG! Remember that last mod we sold you?! It's junk! Trash it and buy this V 2.5!!!! We had the v2, and we trashed it, because this is next level zomg getitordie shit right here!" But the whole slide in/slide out concept is pretty cool. If it's not stock with a DNA200 upon release though, it's kind of pointless. It'll be a $300 box where everything inside will need to be replaced in 3 months. Unless you can get a version without a chip for $40 or less, it's not going to be worth it. And if it isn't dirt cheap it'll be cloned and sold and they'll be put out of business. Hate to be so skeptical but honestly the only thing that needs to be easy to replace is the chip.
You probably should've read about it before you wrote all of that, lot of facts you got wrong here. The whole point of the whiteout is the opposite of what you said.
Like what? I'm looking at it, I still think the only thing that NEEDs to be changed is the chip. So that's a good idea, but i don't really see anything else that makes this special. Plus I'm a bit confused, the box /u/enyawreklaw is holding clearly has 18650s, but one site claims it'll need 3 lipo batteries (sold seperately).
It'll be a $300 box where everything inside will need to be replaced in 3 months Last I checked it was only $200, and nothing will need to be be replaced except the chip. So this mod is a 1 time buy & then whenever a new mod comes out instead of paying $200 for that mod you buy the chip that it uses for a Quarter of the price & just like that you now basically have that mod. The SX chip takes 18650's the DNA chip uses a battery pack. So you save up a little, go out and buy it a month or two after its released, and next month it's all "000MMGGG! Remember that last mod we sold you?! It's junk! Trash it and buy this V 2.5!!!! This is the point of the white out you won't need a V2 it is already a v2 & v3 and so on because all you need is to replace the chip with whatever's new & you have it. And the Ares chip can be programmed to your liking & updated. If it's not stock with a DNA200 upon release though, it's kind of pointless I don't even understand this, why would it be pointless without a DNA200 chip?
I spent $760 on two mods I expect to last me for years and years.
I still use my $250 Provari mod regularly with zero issues. Dropped it down cement stairs more than a few times, still fires perfectly.
My new mods are perfect vape machines and they rock every metal coil I throw at it. In 2016 the metal of choice will be tungsten/wolfram. Mark my words.
Tungsten? You do realize that tungsten, heat and oxygen are not a formula for success, right? First test fire and that coil's going to pop like a lightbulb filament.
If you hadn't looked into the Whiteout I highly suggest it. You can either get the 350J or the DNA200 or their open OS Ares Chip. And the cool thing is if you get, let's say the SX350J and want the new DNA 200, you can just buy the DNA200 chip and their faceplates and you now have both. And it's at a great pricepoint. It's pretty much the DIY of mods, imo.
What battery is he holding up at 30:03?
Whoa, when the heck did those come out? :D Thanks!
There's also Samsung's 30q's too!
Other than the 900mah difference between this and the 25R, what makes it better? And could you tell me the difference between pulse and continuous? Would chain vaping count as continuous?
Very little difference. At loads under 10A continuous the LG HG2 is much longer lasting, but over 10A it seems battery life drops off down to 25R levels. Continuous means a sustained power draw, and it's the best way to compare batteries. Pulse is a <10 seconds spike of power. Check out this article on my site for more info!
