Yesterday I came across a thread "That's Insane" where /u/treesnbongs wanted input on mixing a Trix Yogurt. As I read his ingredients, seeing Sweet Raspberry and Orange Cream, I instantly thought of Simply Sherbert that /u/LurkTr0n posted up here. Those flavors would pair with Silly Rabbit PERFECTLY! Bringing out the fruit notes a bit more.
So onto the Yogurt base. Sweet Cream TFA 4% with Vanilla Swirl TFA 3% was a pretty good yogurt base. However, I get a weird taste from it when I first start vaping it, tastes like Cellery to me. I have a hunch that its the Sweet Cream, so I lowered it to 2% and added Fresh Cream FA 1%. And of course, for the nasty nasty diacetyl, I added some Yogurt FA.
This recipe was created on a whim, and although I had a good hunch that this would all fit together, this was the first variation. I know, it's usually frowned upon... You should go through a long drawn out process for coming up with a mix and perfecting it, lol. I have however toyed with each of these flavors in one way or another, and came up with the numbers based on that experience. After a thorough shake, gave it a taste test, and it sure tastes like Trix Yogurt! Lets see how it tastes after a steep...
I present to you the above recipe. I may refine it late, I may not.
5% Silly Rabbit TFA
2% Sweet Cream TFA
3% Vanilla Swirl TFA
1.5% Sweet Tangerine CAP
0.5% Raspberry CAP
1% Golden Pineapple CAP
1% Sweet Strawberry CAP
2% Yogurt FA
1% Fresh Cream FA
If you don't want Diacetyl, drop the FA Yogurt, and increase the Sweet Cream to 4%.
Definitely up for criticism, suggestions, or ideas.
Looks delicious, and based on my experience with those flavors I think your percentages look good. I found anything above 7% Silly Rabbit has a bite to it.
Will be mixing this up in a few days when I get some time.
Nice work!
ty, it's my first submission. Everything else I've made was complete crap. I've mostly stuck to mixing other peoples recipes as I never have the time to sit down and perfect things. Of course this was inspired by other peoples creations, so I have to give everyone else the credit. I'm thinking of adding a few drops of sweetener, though...
Rumor has it FA is working on a diacetyl free version of their yogurt. Thanks for the recipe!
Does anybody else make a good diacetyl free yogurt?
I think Capella has a couple now... not sure when they are being released!
Praxis has a Trix Yogurt flavor (Amethyst) which I think is a great idea but unfortunately they use FW Yogurt which imparts an unfortunate rancid taste in everything in touches. Thanks for this, I'll have to try it!
Thoughts on CAP Raspberry vs TPA Sweet Raspberry in this?
FA Forest Fruit and a tiny bit of grape concord would help complete the berry effect.
How is forest fruit? Anything else you'd recommend for other recipes, for a good berry vape? That's one of my next goals to achieve. I have grape concors, but it's very floral, I feel it's going to need a lot of other supporting berry flavors.
Oh and ty for the idea. I might try dropping the pineapple, and or the strawberry if I add some berryness to it. The tang and raspberry should probably add enough in the other departments.
Fruit mix gives dark berry flavor that should contrast well with the bright citrus type flavor you get in the trix cereal flavor. grape concord there is to bring more authenticity to "trix" considering trix has a slight grape flavor to it, so start light at around .20%. I'd start the fruit mix at around .75% and adjust to taste. I'm also not sold that you absolutely need 2% sweet cream, you might want to experiment dropping it to 1% considering you already have 1% fresh cream and 2% yogurt which has diketones so it should be buttery and creamy. This will help give the fruit flavors stand out a bit more while remaining very creamy. Too much cream can have a muting effect, and if we consider yogurt "creamy" then you basically you are at 5% cream, where I think you would be better off at around ~3.5%.
