Strawberry/Blueberry Cream v4
submitted about 10 years ago by dirtlungs
  • Sweet Strawberry (Cap) 10%
  • Blueberry (Cap) 6%
  • Cotton Candy (TPA) 5%
  • Sweet Cream (TPA) 2%

Versions 1-3 were lessons in what percentages absolutely did not work. This version is nothing earth shattering just a nice, sweet shake and vape berries and cream flavor. I personally mix at max vg and haven't had any last long enough to steep.

Criticism / suggestions would be great.

This would taste great in the July recipe thread.

One of the things that worries me about the recipe is the 5% Ethyl Maltol. I bet if you lowered it the flavors might come out more and it also wouldn't wreck your coils as fast. It sounds good though! I'd probably alter the cream to fruit ratio though. Right now you have 16% fruit, 2% cream, and 5% sweetener. I'd lower the fruit a bit and raise the cream a bit and probably just ditch the sweetener.

Please keep in mind this is just my opinion and you are allowed to make juice how you like it.

That Capella blueberry is, in my experience, absolutely awful. It's just so weak it's almost impossible to do anything good with it.

Why so much flavoring? I look at recipes like this that come in over 20% and automatically cut them by half. So your 10 becomes 5, 6 becomes 3 and so on.

There's not a set percentage for anything. For example tfa, cap, and fw, all shine at higher percentages. Just like flavor art shines at lower percentages. It's all preference. No need to comment that, im sure he already knows from the other 500 posts people make saying this. It's his recipe that he shared. If you want to cut it in half then do so. But by the sounds of it, it makes you seem like you're telling him he's wrong for thinking it taste good.

Nah. He can do whatever he wants. He asked for criticism and he got it. I don't think he needs you to step in and defend him.

  1. You haven't even made the recipe so how can you criticize it.

  2. You're discouraging other people from posting their recipes because people like you will just bash them.

I hear you, the answer is a simple "I think it tastes good". I'm a DIYer running an Aspire Atlantis and find a lot of recipes underwhelming. Your palate/hardware will vary. Different strokes.

The Atlantis mutes quite a bit IMO. I can definitely see with using only that why you'd want more flavor. Have you considered getting an RDA?

Knock yourself out. I just can't see it being very good or holding up very well over time. I have a couple buddies who use the Atlantis and flavors definitely shine in different ways. I actually noticed that strawberries pop more on their tanks than they do in my Subtank.

Eh, if you're into the flavor profile mix up 10ml and give it a whirl. Worst case scenario is you don't like it and can share your feedback.

I just mixed it up at half of your %'s. I had to sub blueberry wild TFA. Went with a 60% VG mix. I'll let you know how it is tomorrow.
