These are $1 at an Asian grocery. Friend said she uses them for baking. Any way to determine if they're safe for vaping?

I would feel uncomfortable with the ethanol, along with the fear that the coconut flavor may be an oil

Agreed, was just wondering.

Ethanol is in a decent amount of the flavorings we used. The thing to be concerned about here is water and anything else they haven't listed that could be in it.

Instead of buying shady flavors from an asian grocery store, why not just buy some online?

Don't you know how miserly some vapers are? OH GOD I CAN SAVE 75 CENTS ORDERING FROM CHINA/USING A TAMPON AS WICK.

Wow I bet you don't even reuse old guitar strings for TC builds.

I can't get a low b string to fit in any of my rdas.

Ethanol and Water are a pair of bad signs on this one.

Flavor concentrates aren't much more expensive from known providers - why take the risk?

FTFY there's nothing wrong with ethanol. It's ethyl alcohol.

Very skeptical. Typically anytime you see a flavor like this in a grocery store or elsewhere that contains water, outside of the safety concerns of the artificial flavors they use, it's way too weak to be effective in E-Juice.

Not worth the risk. But to be clear ethanol and water should evaporate from these flavorings really easily by letting it sit without a cap or heating it up. Leaving you with essentially pg based flavoring. Although who the fuck knows if there safe, you would need a MSDS to find that out.

yeah, NO.!

Just because it has propylene glycol in it doesn't mean you can vape it

p.s. if you drink it it might get you wrecked (and/or sick)

I wouldn't be as worried about the water or ethanol as much as I'd be with what molecules they used to arrive at those flavors. Some are harmless enough when ingested but to be vaporized and inhaled? Plus other than the coconut, the others look to have artificial coloring which you definitely don't want to vape. Steer clear.

Well, you could vape it and find out, but I wouldn't advise it.

The serious answer: don't even think about trying to vape that.

I wouldn't use that in baking either. Fuck vaping that shit.

They also make a durian flavor if you're feeling extra adventurous.

Disclaimer: don't actually use those flavors.

Bought it, vaped it at 1% in VG, coughed for ages, few hours later it was uncomfortable when I inhaled too deeply so I went to the doctors. I didn't admit what I did to the doctor because durian. He wrote it off as a fungal infection based on the amount of irritation he could see had developed in my throat.

I still love durian, but now we know.

Edit: Cleared up after 3 weeks.

Why's everyone acting like ethanol is a big deal? It shows up in plenty of TFA/Cap/FA type flavor concentrates as well.

No kidding. I'm starting to wonder how many people in this subreddit actually look at their flavor vials.

Aye. My main concern is the fact that it's imported from Asia. I'd be more worried about the potential unlisted ingredients, like mercury, lead, U-235, antifreeze, or whatever the hell else Chinese manufacturers usually try to put in foods to save 2 cents per ton.

If you value safety, don't.
Buy flavours sold as aromas for vaping.

I was wondering the same thing! I bought coconut and jasmine from an asian market (same brands and labels) but I'm too afraid to try it. Who's gonna be the guinea pig?

also, it says LA California, and I doubt the FDA hasn't had their grimey hands in this mix
