Will the larger capacity ones be accurate enough if I'm making large batches? I have a scale thats reads to .01 for making/trying recipes.

You're convincing as fuck. Just placed my order. Now I just need everything else to make my own ejuice.

by LOL_OMGabout 10 years ago

This guy is correct. I started out with syringes, and within a week I said fuck this shit and changed to a scale.

BTW /u/enyawreklaw funfetti????????

This thing is great. The battery lasts a long time also if you're unable to be near an outlet.

Darn, in between checks. Hope this lasts a bit longer.

the ebay price is like $30-35. so if the sale dont last, you can get it on ebay with free shipping

by TurbidContentionabout 10 years ago

True. But I can't be the only one who would prefer to use amazon prime for the free 2 day shipping :P

If you'd like, I'd be happy to get it for you, 2-day delivery and all! Just pay me back when you get paid :)

Should be this week, so I think I'll be ok.

by Taliesenabout 10 years ago

0.01g accuracy. Should probably x-post this to /r/trees too

1 points

by BooksofMagicabout 10 years agoMixologist

Do it if you want, just don't X-post it. /r/trees has other uses for 'ejuice' that we don't want associated back here.

Ah I was only joking. Forgot the sarcasm tag. I don't want vaping to be banned because of some tenuous link to weed.

1 points

by Glitchlolabout 10 years ago

The funny thing is that weed will probably end up more socially and legally acceptable than vaping.

Bro, do you update all your old posts on reddit in real time?

I don't either =)

1 points

by Stenchrabout 10 years ago

I mostly put that for other people to see that is cheaper but I am sorry for the insult Mr. Bot please don't skynet me.

Great I just started this DIY jazz and I bought this Etekcity 0.001oz/0.01g 500g Table-Top Digital.

by TurbidContentionabout 10 years ago

> Etekcity 0.001oz/0.01g 500g Table-Top Digital.

The problem with this is it has no A/C adapter to run off the wall - and it has an auto-off feature I believe. Best of luck though! I can't wait to start mixing by weight.

1 points

by holisticbullabout 10 years ago

Well I mixed up a 30mL batch and it seemed to work fine. The auto off takes a while and I haven’t noticed any shutoffs while I’m pouring juice in. I guess I went for a cheaper scale because I bought 17 flavors for my first order.

1 points

by TurbidContentionabout 10 years ago

Hey man, whatever works for you for sure! I'm really stoked to get into mixing by weight, seems like it's going to be so much nicer.

Gratz on getting into DIY, 17 flavors is a great start! I think I'm up to 50... O_0 it's a problem.

Why is the 3000g model cheaper?

3 points

by toonerzabout 10 years ago

That (and the 1000g model) only show up to 0.1g of accuracy whereas the 500g one shows up to 0.01g. Really important when mixing by weight.

1 points

by Madnapaliabout 10 years ago

That's kinda what I thought. Shame, I'd like something that could weigh that high.

1 points

by MurderMelonabout 10 years agoOne of "The Damned"

Even if you use a glass bottle, you'll still be able to mix like 300mL of liquid. And since mixing by weight is so fast, you can get lots of batches done really quickly.

Of course I purchased one two weeks ago. Oh well

I knew your name looked famous... had to stalk your comments to figure out you were the Nude Nicotine call-out dude...

Believe it or not, that series of posts/videos is one of the last things I watched before I decided I had to start making my own juice.
Thanks for being awesome.

by SerialVapist420about 10 years ago

I like how the higher capacity scales are cheaper...

2 points

by TurbidContentionabout 10 years ago

As someone stated further down, they are cheaper because they aren't as accurate (.1 vs .01 grams)

When mixing by weight, you need at LEAST .01 accuracy, some of these concentrates are POWERFUL.

1 points

by SerialVapist420about 10 years ago

Oh, okay I didn't know that they were less accurate.

SOB! I just literally purchased this yesterday for $3 more on Amazon. Haha. I thought it couldn't go lower than that. Oh well. Even though it's not shipped yet I'm not cancelling for $3. Not even worth the hassle.

1 points

by jughandleabout 10 years ago

They'll refund you the difference, just email them.

Good idea. $3 is worth a simple email. Why not?

How does this compare to the Smart Weigh scale?

I bought it after hearing it recommended, and am more than a little disappointed with how it reads... VERY tempted to go out and buy the one this thread is dedicated to.

If you got it from Amazon, reach out to customer support. I got connected via chat earlier today, 5 minutes later they approved to refund $13 and change. Easy peasy.
