Hi guys, I'm looking for alternatives to some flavours ive been using for a while.
LA watermelon - looking for a more natural watermelon, I find LA to be too sweet and artificial.
CAP sweet strawberry - again too sweet and candy like. (trialling strawberry ripe (TFA?) just now and its pretty nice)
Raspberry - been using FW Raspberry but its just a basic raspberry flavour, nothing special. used FW Royal Raspberry and loved it but its too hard to find in the UK. Royal raspberry is like raspberry jam, nice thick/natural flavour.
Grape - using CAP black (concord?) grape which has the perfect American grape soda taste but its completely black, tastes amazing but destroys wicks in a day.
BONUS RECIPE: Milkberry FW Milk - 10% FW Royal Raspberry - 5% TFA Strawberry Ripe - 2% TFA Dragonfruit - 1% To me this tastes a lot like a yoghurt drink in the UK called YOP. Received a lot or praise from my customers.
Have you tried the Watermelon and Strawberry flavors from FA?
Oh, wow, FW Royal Raspberry sounds amazing.
I haven't, ive tried a few FA concentrates though and never had a problem with any of them, I'll give them a try, Thanks!
Yeah royal raspberry is something special, smells incredible and when vaped you can almost taste the seeds you get on a real raspberry!
I have a few raspberry flavors, and hated them all... well, at first. They all tasted disgusting.
However, after a few mixes that used INW Rasp had a couple weeks to steep, seemed like it really mellowed out and. Ow I love INW Rasp. Specifically, enyah's rhodonite and raspberry lemonade. My 30ml bottles of each are almost gone now.
So yea, give INW a try.
People are saying FA Strawberry is good but I honestly could not disagree more.
Sweet Strawberry and Strawberry Ripe are the only strawberry flavors.
TFA Sweet Raspberry is my favorite of that flavor. I really do not like FA's fruit flavors. They are pungent for lack of a better term. The only exception is FA Lemon Sicily, which is great.
> CAP sweet strawberry - again too sweet and candy like. (trialling strawberry ripe (TFA?) just now and its pretty nice)
These two mix very well together for a very nice SB. Use the Ripe for the smell and the CAP for the flavor. So a little more Ripe than CAP. You might be surprised at how the smell of Ripe will alter your perception of the CAP SB. 4-5% and 3-4% respectively is where i am at on a couple recipes.
Watermelon: I like Cap sweet. kinda weak, so at least 8%
Raspberry: TFA Sweet, Start at 2%
Grape: IDK but stay away from TFA Grape Juice. Too chemical taste and smell. I have not tried their Grape Candy.
What about FA Grape Concord? Possibly mixed with a bit of a darker berry.
I'm not sure, that bad experience with TFA scared me away from grape lol. I wished I could find a good grape flavor too. Anyone?
Do you like FA Grape Concord? I bought 30ml, hoping for the best, but it's WAY too flowery for me. So much so that I can't even taste the grape, let alone anything else I mixed with it. And that was at 0.5%.
I have only used FA Raspberry and it's pretty good, sort of a nice balance between real fruit and candy imo. A little dab will do ya, it's potent. I'm not that big on fruit flavors but I do like them sometimes in a bakery recipe. If I had to guess I'd say it's the raspberry used in Steamjunk Ghostberry.
