How do you guys print custom graphic labels?

Hey guys, this sub has been super helpful over the last year I've been working on diy juice. So thank you all so much!

I think I've finally got a couple recipes that I love. My friends always enjoy sampling flavors I've been working on so I thought it'd be fun to print some labels for my juices, but every label printer I have found is very expensive. Do any of you print custom graphic labels and how do you do it? Preferably something around the $100 price range.

Pay a printer to print them for you. They can print shit way cheaper per unit than a start up can. Until your printing hundreds/thousands a day its cheaper to go with an established printer.

Do you have a regular inkjet printer? Depending on how much juice you plan to make, an alternative to having them printed for you is print them yourself. I've found this particularly useful because you can print on demand, meaning you aren't stuck with too many of one label and not enough of another.

Highly Reccomended: Avery sells sheets of printer-friendly labels, both glossy and matte, and they have an online design center that is actually quite useful. You can buy their labels at most major stores, such as Walmart.

Now, I can tell you I've gone through TONS of ink, but my labels are very colorful and I'm definitely starting to expand. At the start it was a great option for quick, easy, instantaneous results. I'm moving on to having my labels printed elsewhere now. Still keeping some of those Avery labels on hand just in case I need them in a pinch.

EDIT: Oh! And if you chose to use this method, ALIGN YOUR PRINTER FIRST! Trust me, it's frustrating when you print out a sheet of glossy, beautiful labels, only to find them ruined by one rouge streak.

Yeah, red stripe is only good for beer, not good for labels. :P

I buy label sheets from onlinelabel and print with a a laser printer. Although when I have the money for it, I would like to get a Kiaro printer

I work at a large format print shop and most people that need labels like those print them in large sheets. Most will cut the large sheets themselves rather than pay the printer/reseller to cut them.

Printer here. Your local print shop can take your design, put several on a 8 1/2 x 11 sheet, and run them off for you. They can just run it on 3M adhesive backed stock. Cut those puppies out yourself, to save money. Not as pricey as you may think.
