Pretty simple, really tasty. Loving this 'Rich Cinnamon' flavor.
3% FLV Crunch Cereal
1.5% FLV Rich Cinnamon
1% FA Meringue
2% FW Tres Leches
3% FW Yellow Cake
Yum Yum Yum. So yeah, this tastes just like cinnamon toast crunch, slightly creamy, but not overtly so. Can definitely taste the cinnamon obviously, and it's a beautiful bakery cinnamon. The crunch brought on by FLV Crunch Cereal is yummy (and a little creamy as well).
The combination of Yellow Cake and Tres Leches feed the remainder of the crunch/bakery note with the Tres Leches adding a bit more depth to the cream as well.
Meringue sweetens up the whole bunch a good bit but doesn't detract from the crunch.
A second, milkier variation that is quite tasty also but FW Milk has a weird aftertaste to me so I've moved away from this one.
3% FLV Crunch Cereal
1.5% FLV Rich Cinnamon
1% FA Meringue
3% FW Tres Leches
5% FW Milk
A little Catalan Cream may work well in this recipe as well in replacement of the Milk or in the first version subbed for 1% of the Tres Leches.
Will give that a go on the next attempt.
Enjoy everyone!
Edit: Mixed 20/80 PG/VG 2mg and vaped @ 50 watts on my 0.2ohm Herakles tank.
Edit 2: Shake and vape is solid, cinnamon fades after a good steep to be more balanced but it's still very good right out of the gate
What made you decide to use crunch cereal over their cinnamon crunch flavor?
Nice, my first order should be here tomorrow! And again I have no FW outside yellow cake/cinnamon roll :(
Get ordering slacker, Tres Leches is seriously good stuff...
Have you been updating your google doc with all of these new goodies? I love that thing man
I haven't touched that spreadsheet since I uploaded it...
I wish you kept a record of all the awesome you stumble across... I've got an idea though, about that... If I ever find the time to sit down and e-mail you. </3
Thank you for this! Definitely going to give it a try. I have been trying to find a good Cinnamon Toast Crunch to replace my ADV (Cartoons from Merkury). Have you by chance tried Cartoons? How would you say it compares. Again, thanks for sharing!
Alright, been vaping this for about a week now. Some thoughts.
- Wow.
- Wow.
- Yeah... wow.
- Really nailed the flavor of the cereal.
- FLV Rich Cinnamon is so. damn. good. Like I want to wear it like cologne so I can smell it all day good. I've had some minor success with it but nothing as good as this recipe.
- That said, the cinnamon is quite strong. I have a batch aging with half the cinnamon, because hitting an RDA with this at more than about 10-15 watts is near impossible. If you are vaping 50W you must have lungs of steel. Cinnamon inhalation may have some heath implications, so I vape this in moderation - no more than 10 or 15 ml a day :).
- Holy coil gunker, Batman. Dry burn and re-wicking is necessary about every 2-3 mls of juice, and the old wicks are practically black. The FLV RC is pretty dark to begin with, and I suspect it's the culprit of the black wicks. I also suspect the two dairy flavors are gunking the coils.
Bottom line - great recipe from a true mix-master. Thanks for sharing.
=)
Thank you for the feedback as always Kirk.
Out of curiosity, which version did you mix, Milk or no Milk? And yes, the cinnamon is not light and can still be toyed with. It's definitely a coil gunker.
Mixed with milk. Had to buy the Tres Leches, but I'm glad I did.
Looks great man, I have the whole original line but have yet to get any of the new flavors. I guess its about time now. I just finished up a cinnamon toast crunch recipe recently and it is cool to see other approaches. It has gotten me really interested in the rest of those new flavors now.
Do you have any more detail on the FLV crunch cereal? Like anything you could compare it to?
Think captain crunch. It's not supposed to have a creamy element by itself according to their website, and I don't get any specific cream taste, but it has a creamy feel to it despite being captain crunch. It's just a smooth/sweet grainy feel to it. Definitely has some sweetness that I wasn't expecting.
I don't much care for it as a standalone, but think of it as the "crunch" in crunch berries.
I should add, the "Rich Cinnamon" is really the gem in this line. It's a straight bakery cinnamon, loaded with flavor but with zero hot/candiness to it. I still don't see it available in 15ml sizes but man is this shit good. It's not only a bakery cinnamon taste to it, it has some bakery note built into it as well. Almost like Cinnamon Danish Swirl from CAP but not as pronounced and it's a much better/cleaner cinnamon flavor.
Ok wow that sounds friggin great! I absolutely love CDS but it can be harsh or too pronounced at times like you said. This sounds pretty perfect, will definitely have to pick these up now.
Edit: I mean I like that the FLV is less pronounced if that makes sense, not that CDS is bad but it is quite strong. I really don't like the red hot type flavor so I am glad it's not like that. I wasted a lot of money in the beginning without doing research to find the right cinnamon.
FWIW, I haven't really ever enjoyed a cinnamon vape because anytime it's pronounced it gets that red hot type flavor. This @ 1.5%-2% is just fucking perfect. Tons of cinnamon flavor and none of that fake candy heat.
Really seeing great possibilities with this flavor.
Going to order a 4oz soon as I develop a flavor around it...Thinking this and some FA Joy could make an amazing Churro flavor.
Mixed this up today. Jesus the Rich Cinnamon is fucking fantastic. I think I could possibly drop it down to 1% b/c at 1.5 it is like "Bam mutha fucka!". It is absolutely the best cinnamon hands down! It reminds me of a cinnabon type of cinnamon.
Thanks for the recipe as always!
I was JUST thinking about creating one of these. What size batch do these ingredients make?
How do you feel about a splash of FLV Cream in this recipe? I've been using it in the one I was working on with the new FLV flavors that's very similar. I think the Tres Leches made yours better than mine (so luckily I had some on the way), but I was trying to use all FLV flavors in mine (except that indispensable FA Meringue lol). How do you feel about FLV Cream, by the way? That's the main flavor I used that you didn't so if you swapped FLV Cream for Tres Leches, you'd be most of the way to my v2 'Cinnamon Toast Crunchavore' except for some slightly different percentages.
Also I was asked about FA Joy in cereal flavors, and I didn't know what to reply, so I said I doubted it'd be much good, except maybe only in a Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal. What's your opinion there?
Finally, I've been using FLV Crunch Cereal and TFA Captain Cereal a lot lately. I'm leaning towards TFA Captain Cereal as being more versatile, but I think FLV Crunch Cereal has its own virtues. Thoughts on the differences you taste in them? I described my take on the TFA flavors in my earlier thread today if you haven't tried the TFA one yet.
Thanks for sharing this! You know how much fun I have with cereal mixes.
FLV Cream would be a good substitute in my version that uses FW Milk I think. I don't think you could use both as the flavor profile seems too similar to me and I think you'd wind up with some chemical tasting ickyness.
I'm struggling to make joy work well in anything that is predominately creamy and haven't gotten it quite right in much of anything yet.
I haven't tried TFA Captain Cereal yet to compare.
Has anyone had a problem with the rich Cinnamon being really bitter, my bottle is very frothy as well there is constantly bubbles in the top of my bottle?
