Looking for some tropical fruit mixes.
submitted about 10 years ago by Groebe-Wan-Kenobi

I'm super into fruit flavors and specifically into tropical fruit combo's. I'm getting a little tired of the usual suspects lately and I'm looking for some new mixes. Some of my ADV's are Strawberry Guava, Banana Coconut, Pineapple Coconut, Strawberry Banana, Honeydew Green Apple blueberry, Peach Dragon Fruit, and when I want a menthol type vape I'll make blueberry Candy Cane (fantastic BTW). I want to stay as far away from creams/custards as possible as well as bakery.

So what do you think have anything for me to try?

If you want to taste the coconut more I really recommend 1.5-2% :)

Edit: Also I took mango down to 5%!

Well shit. Tell a guy when you make adjustments :D. I ran out of mango. So bummed. Thinking of subbing something else to see what happens. Have any ideas? I have all kinds of weird tropical stuff. Oh, and what is it called again?

Oooo I have no idea, the mango is so important to the recipe D:

And sometimes I call it pineapple parade but I'm so used to just calling it "Tropical" that I may leave it at that. Maybe spell it "Tropikuhl" to make it more unique!

I came up with a name for a tropical flavor when I still had a juice company and you can use it if you like. I had a juice that was a kind of like yours sans the peach but I did:

1% Inawera Mango

3% Inawera Pineapple

5% LA Banana Cream

3% Capella Coconut

Anyway I called it Tropic Fever Dream.

Monster melons clone

TFA mango 5%
TFA papaya 5% (a must have flavor)
TFA cantaloupe 5%

Use sweeteners to your desire I personally don't use any for this mix

Monster Melons doesn't use sweeteners. Add in 2% TFA Marshmallow, trust me ;)

Thats funny I have thought about adding marshmallow to it to round it off. Vaping it all day seems to give me a sour taste in my throat so that marshmallow should balance it out.

Have you played with FA Papaya? That's all I have right now and I want to try this but not sure what the recommended ratio is. I guess I could start with 1% and go from there...

I'm not a huge fan of the FA papaya. Just not the same as TFA's.

Im planning to work on a Passionfruit-Papaya-Honeydew mix pretty soon but haven't been able to find a good/in-stock papaya anywhere yet to make it aaaaaahhh

I haven't tried any papayas yet. What flavor house do you use for passion fruit?

FA

fizzmustard's 'nana cream clone is great... You don't really get much cream from LA Banana Cream, in my opinion. You could substitute another banana flavor in there though.

Try /u/skiddlzninja's Nana Cream recipe. The creaminess of the LA BC is a bit more noticeable.

isn't he using TFA banana cream in his?

Nope. LA banana cream. It's a recipe based off fizzy's, but I tweaked it to what I taste in 'NC

Adv for awhile now, simple, clean, and tasty but not overwhelming.

Tfa pineapple .2g (or ml)

Cap sweet guava .4g

Tfa watermelon .15g

Fa mango .1g

Papaya + Pineapple + Mango is amazing if you can get it right.

Guava + Coconut + Berries is also incredible.

All TFA?

by Botboy141about 10 years agoMixing like a mad man...

Just flavor pairings, I don't use berries from TFA much so I wouldn't be all TFA most likely.

my Adv is a clone of a juice from the store that I got my first mech mod from. it was a little place in Roxborough PA. they called it guava candy.

5% CAP sweet guava 3% FW orange 2% FA pineapple 1% TFA pear

1 points

by Groebe-Wan-Kenobiabout 10 years ago

OK this sounds promising. Although I would remove the pear (I hate pear from any vendor) and FA Orange and Inawera Pineapple. I'll give it a shot.

1 points

by quidprobonoabout 10 years ago

Don't think of the pear as a flavor that you would even notice at that percentage. It works as an enhancer to brighten the fruit in low percentages. Try it with and without, you won't even taste it when it's there, but you will notice a difference.

I know this trick, I've tried it and I think fruit flavors are better without it personally. I still taste it and find it disgusting. Weird thing is that I love actual pears. The flavoring just taste all soapy to me.

I would consider lemon sicily, dragonfruit, or grape in its place

TFA strawberry ripe - 8% CAP juicy peach - 4% CAP double apple - 6%

Simple and pretty decent. Surprisingly smells and tastes like red jello.

I have a Cancun clone all TFA:

  • 5% Papaya
  • 4% Mango
  • 3% Pineapple
1 points

by Botboy141about 10 years agoMixing like a mad man...

How accurate is this as a clone?

1 points

by CPO_Mendezabout 10 years ago

Very. I make it at 3mg and (to me and a few friends) it tastes identical. Have not had others who knew of the flavor try it except for close friends. You can swap the % on the Mango and Papaya and the flavor doesn't change much, but leave the pineapple at 3 as it's by far the most potent of the trio.

Yeah I just got a sweet crispness from Cancun that I don't get w/ TFA Papaya, been a very long time since I've had it though...

I don't have any recipes but if you want a flavoring thats outstanding right out of the bottle pick up a bottle of FlavorArt's Forest Mix , a fantastic fruity vape .

Their Strawberry and Orange are out of this World as well .

If you are interested in a mango flavor, do a search for "The Mango"

It uses TFA Mango, INW Mango, and Cap Sweet Mango. Everyone I know who has tried it loved the hell out of it... my mom and brother both are currently demanding a large bottle of it.

I bet you could add some hints of other fruits for an amazing tropical profile.

Wow that seems like mango overload. What percentages are we talking about? Also that approach might be interesting for other flavors. I've use two of the same flavors before to fill out a certain flavor but think about mixing the flavors into a new concentrate and then mixing those fruits together. Now that is freaking interesting. I'm excited to try this when I get home. I'll post some findings when I get a good mix going. I think I'll start with something easy like banana strawberry. This also might be a good way to avoid cloning if a company was so inclined.

3.5, 2, and 0.5 percents, so 6% total flavor for mango.

The guy was determined to make the perfect mango, and ordered practically every mango flavor he could find, tested each one, and mixed them up a ton of different ways.

I tried it with some yogurt mixes, turned out decent. I'm thinking of trying LA banana and coconut, with maybe some peach or something. The Mango base is just too good, and can probably go with a lot of things.

I am super picky about my flavors so I buy the same flavor from every flavor vendor I can before I choose one that I like and stick with it. So I have a shit ton of flavors to try this out with.

Here's a screen shot of my tropical mix, because lazy.

I also added 1 Drop citric acid per 10mls, it's real good either way.

This might be one of the best recipes I've made and I'm pretty sure I got it right on the first try. I've experimented with dropping the lychee, upping the fuji, tiny bit more Raspberry, but I think it's just right. It's a very sweet juice with a great smooth clean mouthfeel.

Lychee TFA 7%

Dragonfruit TFA 5%

Strawberry ripe TFA 2%

Fuji FA .5%

Raspberry Koncentrate .5%

1 drop pink guava FLV per 15ml
