I want to attempt to make a flavor similar to Cuttwood's Sugar Bear but without the diacetyl. Any suggestions on where to start?

I really love the flavor but unfortunately I don't want anything to do with my lungs turning into popcorn. /s

Seriously though, I'm stumped on what would even come close to a similar flavor without using diketones. I would be happy with a similar flavor minus the creamy custard part but I can't seem to place what flavors are under all that delicious diacetyl. Has anyone got a clue what flavors I should be toying with?

Cinnamon Danish Swirl, Sugar Cookie, Cinnamon Roll, and a sweetner.

CAP CDS and sugar Cookie have Diketones, though. The V2's aren't quite as smooth.

I dont think any of the clones around here use anything with diacetyl, but Im pretty sure the cinnamon danish swirl has acetoin or acetyl propionyl. Ive never tasted a custard note in any of the sugar bear clones or sugar bear itself. Just check and see which companies are offering v2 versions of the flavorings you need. It just depends on which clone you choose.

According to ELR, the flavors in this recipe I whipped up today have no AP/Diketones. It's a bit light on the cinnamon compared to Sugar Bear but you could throw in some CAP cinnamon danish swirl to up the cinnamon game a bit. To me, it has just the right amount of cinnamon, though and tastes like a true sugar cookie. Since the recipe is brand new, I've no idea what it tastes like after aging a bit but it's a great shake 'n vape.

I'll have to try this, but it will be a little different since I have several of those flavors but from tfa instead. Thanks for the jump start!

Those flavors from TFA will have AP, though and also, CAP Graham Cracker has a cinnamon finish while TFA equivalent doesn't. :/

I was afraid some of my tfa flavors might have diketones in them... Wasn't aware of the danger when I ordered it all a few months ago. Guess I'll have to risk it till I can afford a big order of v2 flavors.

> CAP Graham Cracker has a cinnamon finish

Excellent, i had been considering grabbing some to see if there is a discernible difference. Sounds like it would be perfect for a couple of my mixes.

Thanks.
