Kerning, dog. First thing I noticed was the awkward kerning. With lots fonts where all letters are directly proportional to one another, certain words, and certain letters (I'm looking at you "I"), you can get some pretty visually unappealing text. This is fixed by manually adjusting the space (kerning) in between the individual letters so it looks more visually appealing
I'm not saying the font is bad, but I would really really recommend spacing those letters out manually. I guarantee it will produce a visually stunning and far cleaner final result. As a bonus the ink will have an easier time on the space in between the letters and not bleed so much.
I like the cleanliness of the logo though after that critical bit, and I do think the layout is nice too. Just work that font yo!
Edit: upon re-examination later, you mis-spelled glycerine :)
The label is too large as well. When you go that tall with a label, any minor bottle imperfection will be grossly visable once the label is attached. Outside of that I like it =).
Okay I'm BACK! I took your guy's advice.
I personally liked the other arrangement a bit better. And I would go for a touch of color. I love simple, modern looks, but at the same time, black and white just feels like something's missing. Adding one color doesn't increase print costs much and can really help design elements to stand out, such as the name of the brand of the flavor.
I like the updated kerning, it's definitely far more readable, but I would go a little bit tighter. However, the amount is so minuscule that someone who does type layout work professionally would probably be better suited to advise on that.
Lastly, I would include the PG/VG mix and/or nicotine strength on the front of the label and the ingredients list and warning on either side.
The brand is too big. The name of the juice should be bigger (in my opinion.) I like being able to quickly read flavors to find the exact one I'm looking for.
This is very true, my local store has trouble selling a certain brand because people can't read the flavors for the bottles behind the shelf so the customer just goes for something easier to buy that playing 20 questions with what's that flavor? Okay and now what's that flavor? And so on
They've shared the same concern for flavors that don't match any distinct taste or similar. Like calling your product flavor fuck, I came in wanting a custard and I would never know that flavor fuck is the best custard without trying it, and I won't try it because there's 20 other products clearly labelled custard fuck or blueberry custer.
It just helps out, I don't want to be very critical but I'm close with alot of the employees of vape shops and they tell me straight up, your the only one who's tried flavor fuck, nobody knows what it is so they order something safe.
If you want some free label designs I'd be happy to hook you up with some clean black and white labels.
Oh boy! That would be GREAT! I have trouble printing all black cause the printer is thermal but I'd like to take up your offer.
I like the style but I'll be honest and say I inherently don't go for anything that defines itself as fancy or premium or delicious as it should stand for itself.
It's like if I had to sell my car and I said fancy premium Corolla because chances are if I had to add it, its anything but. Poor example but maybe someone can tell me a different one or why I'm wrong.
Edit: Small Anecdote but my local vape shop has a premium flavor and I guarantee you it is anything but, they taste like Blue cigarettes and nothing you would want to put in your mouth willingly
can't see in the picture but do you got a generic warning label on side?
Why have you made labels are you selling?
Nope! I'm not licensed so I can not.
Ah right are you new to diy? When I first started I labeled mine with sticky labels but I started not even labeling them after a while and just smelling them to figure out what it was but I'm back to labeling but with a pen cos I've done some new recipes . Haha. You end up making that much juice you cant be fucked to label. 😂
Nice labels though I like the minimalism
what if you got rid of the outline and shadow on the graphic and just made it a solid color? I think that will look cleaner and register quicker. I also agree about the font/type kerning, really hard to get a quick read. I'm also not a huge fan of the font, you gotta make it really easy to read from far away.
