So...ever since /u/fizzmustard released his Bombie's lookalike 'nana cream recipe about 10 months ago now, I've been on a mission.
I tried his version, it was very good, and was quite similar to the taste I get from Bombies version but not perfect.
Well, I didn't want Bombies version straight up, I wanted something better, something more complex, something that popped more, something that just sent it over the top.
I liked the idea of a Strawberry and Banana but everything else needed a revamp. While I enjoy the banana taste of LA Banana Cream, it's not what what I wanted in this recipe in the long run.
After nearly 60 variations over the past 9 months, I've finally reached my final recipe and damn do I love this stuff.
I've been selling a version that was similar to this for some time, but it wasn't until last week that I finally found the key to what I was looking for.
So, I had my banana flavor dialed in with TFA Banana Cream and HS Banana, I knew TFA Jackfruit was a good launching point for the background flavor, I had the cream where I wanted it, the strawberry where I wanted it, but it was still missing something.
Last week I found that missing ingredient.
Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you:
Ba'nana Cream
7% TFA Strawberry
6% TFA Banana Cream
1.5% FA Fresh Cream (Cream Fresh)
1% TFA Jackfruit
0.7% HS Banana
0.3% TFA Kiwi Double (the key)
1.5% Citric Acid (10% Solution)
I have mixed this with and without the Citric Acid, I really like it more with it but it doesn't adjust the flavor profile much but will tank your coils much faster so use at your own discretion.
Now I understand that some of you may be missing more than 1 or two flavors to whip this up to try it.
As most of you know, I do sell juice, and have recently started selling flavor concentrates, I'm creating a coupon code just for you guys, just for this flavor for 25% off anytime you want in case you decide you want to try this creation without having to invest in multiple flavors (although it's probably cheaper to just buy them, I know some folks are lazy DiY'ers).
Code: BCream
Product
Don't worry these shameless plugs won't be a regular thing if ever again, I'm just really excited about this flavor and want people to try it!
Edit: If you don't like the Citric Acid this high, try dropping it to 0.5% and add 1% TFA Sweetener. (my favorite version as of 7/25/15)
Is there a decent sub for the HS banana? I've got everything else.
http://www.buyhangsen.com/hangsen-banana-flavoring-concentrate-10ml/
Found this site a while ago. I haven't tried them out yet but they ship from Jersey.
Good find, thanks.
I'm just trying to hold back on the sheer number of flavors I own (literally nearing 300). That glorious bastard /u/Botboy141 is responsible for most of the last 100. If HS banana is relatively close to one of the other dozen bananas I already have, I can get a reasonably close clone since it's such a small % of the recipe.
Hmmm. 10ml for $1.79 or 50ml for $7.99? Decisions, decisions. :P
I ordered some eLiquids from them last month, shipping was ~$4 and pretty quick. I just wish they had the melon concentrate in stock.
Well all I have to say is that it better be good. Being stuck with 50mls of something that sucks would be bad to me. That's why I always buy the small bottles first.
Also I didn't even notice that they sell pre-mixed ejuice. Wow 69 cents for a 5ml bottle? Either I'm drunker than I thought or that's a great way to try many flavors for cheap! I might have to jump on a few of those too.
None unfortunately, it's what makes the right Banana flavor. I've been picking up a 10ml or two on every order I've made from BCV in the last 6 months, slowly stocking up for when I got this thing perfected.
I'm starting to think I'm the only one who prefers the TFA Quince variant of Nana Cream by /u/skiddlzninja more plus it's easier to mix.
Anyways, I can't wait to try this but I'm missing half the flavors. Recipe looks awesome.
It's very different than 'nana Cream and the Quince variant. It's an entirely different banana flavor profile but one that I enjoy much more.
Thanks! I ordered as well, I actually prefer to buy flavor mixes, I have plenty of VG/PG/Nic for mixing, and you did the hard part!
I'd love to try the flavor-only of Juicy Jacks, Killer Kiwi and Princess Cake, if you were to offer those.
I've got everything for it and still have all my stuff sprawled over the dining room table, so I can make this today (good on me for not putting everything away and cleaning up last night! Woo!)
Any steep time/aging needed or recommended?
I needed 3 flavors & knew to order right away before they sell out everywhere as usual when a popular recipe is posted. When the cereal killa clone was the big thing it seemed like months before you could find all the flavors in stock at one site, and a few were sold out everywhere for awhile. Then after I got them all I didn't even like it. I'm about positive I'll like this though, looking forward to it.
I've ordered your pleasing peanuts, I've made it myself after picking up INW Peanuts last week, but I feel like I got a poor batch of TFA Peanut Butter. Going to compare to yours to see.
Apparently some people taste TFA Peanut Butter like burnt popcorn.
abridged source: tried someone's DIY juice with / without TFA PB and tasted that. some others reported same.
I mean the first order of TFA Peanut butter seemed really strong, but this newer batch I got feels a lot weaker.
TFA comments about this on their website.
> I have received emails saying that this flavor is strong, and other emails saying that it is on the weaker side - this is one of those flavors that can taste differently to different people!

I was thinking jackfruit for my next attempt at the clone, but mine smelled a little musky?
Just stopping by to thank you for the quince version. It's one of two juices I've mixed in larger volume (just did 250ml which is a big step for me), the other being Mustard Milk.
Well thank you for liking it so much, I'm glad I could assist in the development of your hobby :)
Thanks for sharing the recipe! Gonna try this out this weekend.
Have you tried out TFA's new "Banana" flavor? Smells quite similar to LA BC, but more runt/candy-like maybe. Haven't mixed with it yet, just got it the other day.
What is the name of it, I am actually needing something like this
They just added it a couple weeks ago, literally called just "Banana" haha (link)
It smells quite similar to LA BC, but I don't know what it tastes like yet. Heading in tomorrow to make a small bottle try it out at 4-5%. It's perfectly clear which is nice!
I will say it again as I have said plenty of times: you guys are trying way too hard on the Nana Cream recipe. Your mistake as always is assuming that this recipe is so complex. Just because it or any other e-liquid is popular doesn't mean there is anything complicated or complex about the recipe.
> Well, I didn't want Bombies version straight up, I wanted something better, something more complex, something that popped more, something that just sent it over the top.
Steep time on this or good as a shake and vape? Edit: Just mixed this up. Had everything except HS Banana which I suspect a lot of people are missing. I know it really isn't the same but I wanted to try it anyhow. I subbed in ripe banana (TFA) at 0.4% instead of the hangsen and left everything else the same. I did use citric acid.
As a shake and vape this is pretty damn good! I honestly knew it would be good since it is a botboy recipe and everything you make is amazing. Anyway it is different from most of the stuff I vape, but in a really good way. I feel like the key to this recipe is definitely the use of Jackfruit for one and the subtle hint of Kiwi. Anyway great mix!
How does this develop after a couple weeks with the citric acid in it? Does it mute or stay the same?
The CA helps to keep the Kiwi note and Jackfruit from fading IME but this identical mix has only steeped for one week for me.
The HS Banana definitely adjusts the profile far away from Ripe Banana. Regardless it's definitely yummy and has a profile to it that is different than every other Banana Cream variation I've ever had.
Just bought some HS Banana and a slew of other stuff so I can finally make this recipe with the proper Banana! I'm getting really excited! What is the Hangsen banana like anyway?
Holy shit you sell concentrates now!? I wish more vendors did that. That's awesome. Thanks so much for sharing, grabbing some right now!
I'm lazy as fuck so I'm going straight for the sample pack ;)
Thank you!!! I didnt have HS banana or jack fruit so i made the following changes with your help and review of jackfruit. Its so tasty. Instead of HS i used INW Pear because i think it taste more like a peary banana and it worked well

Sorry for bastardising your recipe /u/Botboy141 but for anyone wondering if this works with TFA Ripe Banana in place of the HS Banana - give it a shot, a very nice recipe. Unfortunately I haven't got any HS to make a comparison to the original.
I've only got a few drops left in the bottle but I'll try and do a flavour description. This is the recipe with CA and without sweetener. Only sub was HS for TFA Ripe Banana at the same percentage. Max VG. 6mg Nic. Mixed 22/8, vaping now (24/9) on Derringer, twisted 28g kanthal w/ 28g Ni200, single coil, 7 wraps around 3mm, rayon wick, about 0.11ohms at room temp, TC mode, various temps.
Fresh (less than two weeks old) and with wattage mode devices I wasn't a big fan of it. It was a really accurate under-ripe green banana flavour - amazing if you like that green banana flavour but I like my bananas ripe. Vaping now at about 4.5 weeks old and with temperature control its a nice straight up banana cream. Unfortunately I can't say for sure if TC or ageing made the real difference but I feel it's more to do with some of the more volatile notes coming off with steeping. This is what I hoped a banana cream concentrate would be like - but they always taste like banana candy to me. This is just fresh ripe bananas sitting on some cream - plain and simple. This juice is quite light in flavour, enough you can ADV it without palate fatigue, not so light that's it boring, well balanced. The Jackfruit and Kiwi don't really stand out, here they more add some realness to the banana, and I think that kiwi is adding that fresh green/ripe flavour - they're new to my mixery though so I could be wrong there. The cream is nice and light, Fresh Cream is also pretty new to me, but it makes nice change to the heavy creams/custards I'm used to, without being thin/whispy/watery-milk. This juice seemed a bit more flavourful with cotton than rayon, usually I find the other way around. Also suited to low temperatures. I've been having a bit of trouble getting used to TC as I'm still trying to hone my builds to get the warmth I'm used to but this is the first juice I've had that vapes well as low as 185C/365F - again, TC is new to me and I'm not sure how accurate the temperature reading is with the build above, but vaping at this temp is much cooler than I'm used to. Definitely a juice that's worth playing around with your temperature setting.
It's kind of funny - if I mix a recipe, I try and forget it. I write it down and try not to look at it again until I review the juice the final time. I want to catch my self/palate out by giving myself a shitty blind test. Even as I started writing this post I didn't check the recipe. It's only as I went to back to add some details to my post I looked at the recipe for the first time since I mixed it. I can't pick out the strawberry at all in this juice. Like probably most of us, strawberry is a flavour I use a lot and pretty familiar with - it's surprising to me that I didn't pick it out especially when it's used here at relatively high percentage. I've run out of this juice now so I can only go by smelling the bottle - there I pick up nothing but TFA strawberry and a banana candy aroma very similar to the Bombies juice. Yet while actually vaping it - no obvious strawberry to me. Just a nice, smooth banana cream. I was always hoping I'd catch myself out like this but now it just has me questioning my palate!
Great juice, sorry I couldn't mix up the original OP, but banana doesn't top my favourites list so I was a little weary of getting in a flavour for one recipe. But now I may have to pick some up, I definitely have to remix now to see about this strawberry haha!
$15 for a 30ml is just like any other averagely priced vendor... :/ I guess free shipping might make up for it though
We run coupon codes every weekend as well as a permanent 15% off as well. Plus we're virtually the only vendor that offers free shipping @ $25 as well.
Most folks once they try our juices, are very happy to pay our price. I'll also say, that most folks by their second order with us are ordering 120ml for $40 + Coupon ($34 or less) dropping their cost under $0.25/ml.
I've never claimed to be the cheapest nor do I intend to be. All of our juice is hand mixed and recipes are developed to perfection =).
I could definitely offer for as low as $10 for 30ml if I wanted, but it's simply not worth my time and effort.
I don't sell juice to make a killing, and I won't be in business after the FDA starts regulating. I'm simply trying to offer an excellent product at an average price.
You can walk into any B&M and buy juice that isn't half as good as what we sell and pay 50% more. Additionally, we can only drop our price so low before B&M's won't buy wholesale from us anymore because they can't re-sell for a profit when folks know they could just go to our site and get it for half the price of what B&M's charge. As things stand right now, it's pretty close to a no-deal for a lot of B&Ms.
Thanks for the info! I definitely didn't mean to offend your business by any means, although the downvotes makes it seem like I did lol...
Do guys have smaller sample sizes? I like really simple fruity flavors and while I bet your stuff is really good/complex, I'm just a simple juice kinda guy haha.
Does that mean you're planning on immediately selling/dropping the business when e-cigs are FDA regulated? Is it as simple as you made it sound? Thanks for the answers!
> Do guys have smaller sample sizes?
Just our 15ml option through the 5 pack sampler. We are running a 36% off sale that ends in ~10.5 hours, Code is '36off36'. That gets you 5 different flavors of 15ml sizes (75ml total) for $26.23 so roughly $0.30/ml.
I've been debating offering 6ml sample sizes for quite some time but if I was to do this, it would all be 30/70 3mg as it's simply not worth our time for orders of that size to mix by hand as they come in.
> while I bet your stuff is really good/complex, I'm just a simple juice kinda guy haha.
I'll speak honestly and say that our juice may not be for you. All of our blends are pretty complex.
> Does that mean you're planning on immediately selling/dropping the business when e-cigs are FDA regulated? Is it as simple as you made it sound?
As soon as the FDA requires that every flavor and mix type be licensed, assuming licensing fees line up where I think they will, yes we'll be disbanding the E-Juice business and re-focusing everything to become a DiY supplier (slowly working on that transition over the next 6-12 months anyways).
I've wanted to be on the DiY supplier end since I started this business.
Unfortunately, with the competition out there, I simply didn't have the capital required to purchase a large inventory up front to be able to offer my product at competitive prices in addition to all of the other ancillary costs (business license, payment processor fees, bottles, labels, insurance, etc). The business costs were about the same to start with a DIY supplier as a juice vendor, but the overhead of on hand merchandise was significantly lower to jump into the juice business.
Once my son is born (end of august) my wife will be able to take the reigns and run the DiY business full time while I continue on my regular work and help out there as needed.
That is for the concentrate, which you only need to use 18% of to make a bottle. So it is more like $15 for 150ml+.
Talking about the signature line
This is r/DIY E Juice, the flavoring is the real killer deal here, premixed. At 30ml for $10, that will make 200ml of juice when cut with VG/PG, assuming a price of 78 cents per 100ml (when you buy bulk), you're going to average around $11.56 for roughly 200ml, or $1.73 per 30ml of completed juice (before adding Nicotine.) Not a bad discount. And remember, OP is making a profit on his flavor too.
Don't forget the other costs associated with running a juice business. Insurance alone can be over $1000/month. I've looked into it and startup isn't cheap.
