I'm looking through the aide bar and reading all about it and have found some spots to buy nicotene in canada.
However, I'm not sure how much of each to start out with. My eyes are always bigger than my belly so to speak. So if I were to buy 500ML of VG how much nicotene base and flavoring should I get for that much VG ... I know I don't or figure I shouldn't need equal parts but would say 60ml of 50 mg/ml nicotene last through 500ml of VG? And the same thing for flovoring (I just like straight up fruit flovors mostly) so if I bought say 120ml of tangerine flavoring how far would that go? And do these have a good shelf life when stored properly? Sorry if these are dumb questions and thank you for any help!
I personally buy 100mg/ml nicotine base and 120 ml should last a long while for 500 ml of vg. Another thing I would have you consider is buying lots of different flavors in a smaller quantity that way you can have variety. I always mix between 13-20% flavoring so the most I ever put in a 30ml bottle is 6ml
Thank you ill keep that in mind... however ive been vaping 1 flavor daily for years I just gotta find the one I like for my daily (just like the ol Darts) ill switch it up every once in a while. But it never occured to me that a juice called tangerine might actually have more than one flavor in it
Your questions have already been answered, but I just wanted to chime in to say I'm glad to see you diving in since I linked you here!
What nicotine level do you usually vape?
18 - 30mg
Usually 30
30? Holy jeebuz! That must be like vaping straight worstishire!
If you are vaping that high of a nicotine amount, you will need more than 60 ml of nicotine. If you vape at 18 mg using 50mg/ml nicotine then 36% of your mix is going to be nicotine. To use every drop of VG without flavoring you would need around 280 ml of nicotine and this would give you around 780 ml of eliquid to vape. If you add in flavoring, you can stretch the VG further but flavoring percentages vary greatly. Also, flavoring lasts quite a while. Usually 6 months-1 year, possibly longer if you keep them in a cool environment.
I'm curious as to what type of set up you are vaping on. Vaping 18-30mg juice seems really high to me. Also, can you even buy commercial juice with that high of a nicotine content? Were you adding nicotine to the juice you bought to increase the amount?
There aren't very many single flavors that will do well on their own. You'll also probably grow tired of the same flavor very quickly. I wouldn't recommend buying that much of a single flavor until you know you'll use it.
If you like fruit flavors, check out Funk3s Blood, The Mango, and Meloncholy. I liked them all a lot. Buy the flavors you want in 30ml bottles. They'll last you a long time, and if it turns out you hate some of them it's not as big of a loss.
Look through the monthly recipe threads and observe which of the fruit flavors tend to be the most popular, there's usually a reason if you see them popping up frequently.
The most flavor recipes usually call for is around 20% of the total mix, and it's usually close to 10%, or even less depending on the brands and flavors used. So as you can imagine, the flavoring stretches a long way. Some flavors you only use 1 or 2 percent, while others you'll use 8 and very rarely even more. It all just depends.
The flavors I really enjoy that I buy regularly are blueberry, tangerine and blackberry .... but tangerine is my all day vape... so i would probably be looking to get those kind of flavors and some sweeteners i guess too
- FW Blackberry Mojito
- FW Blueberry
- FW Blood Orange/Orange
You may want to look into these specific flavors
Here's a recipe where I use blueberry/blackberry, and it's pretty tasty stuff
Just wondering, where do you order your nicotine base from? I'm in Canada too and it took me a while to find a good online seller.
