Pearry Cream: A quick recipe I'd like to share
submitted about 10 years ago by edbtzyMixologist

My first attempt was a custard version of this; seen here. However, I decided to go the creamy route instead. I mixed this up and was very happy with the results. The coconut may take some time to fully blend with the other flavors.

As always, I want to thank everyone for all the help. I hope you guys enjoy this as much as I do:

  • 5% Pear - TFA
  • 4% Strawberry RIPE - TFA
  • 2% Honeydew - TFA
  • 3% Vanilla Swirl - TFA
  • 1% Fresh Cream - FA
  • 1% Coconut Extra - TFA
  • 70/30 VG/PG

Sub all ingredients for melted butter.

Sub vanilla swirl with vanilla bean ice cream and you should get that buttery feel.

French Vanilla tastes butter-y to me but it's subjective.

Looks tasty, I may need to pick up some Vanilla Swirl I only have the Vanilla bean icecream (:

I think vanilla bean ice cream could work too.

try 1.5% or 2% VBIC, it's fairly strong. Possibly up fresh cream by 0.5% to round it out.

Thanks for this. I'm a novice mixer, and this is really in my flavor profile.

Ditto. I wonder if there's a big difference between the two. Keep us posted!

I haven't had the opportunity to try the FA version. I'd like to know how it comes out. Good luck

Don't think I have any FA fresh cream. Anything else that would work instead?

You could try using TFA Sweet Cream @ ~2%

Beautiful. I'll try at 1% and see how that goes. Thanks for the quick response! Can't wait to try it!

I love these posts. I really do... But shouldn't they go in the monthly recipe thread?

I posted it in the monthly recipe thread as-well. I figured I would post here too for the users who are unaware of that thread.

Good on you posting to the monthly, but next time you post to the front page, it'd be nice to see some development notes, and flavor notes on what you put into it. The flavor and development notes are very helpful to new mixers, and /u/Botboy141 stated that if a recipe is going to be it's own post, he would like it to have notes on how you came up with the recipe.

Good recipe nonetheless, would just prefer some more notes on it :)

I'm not much of a negative poster or the argumentative type but I feel like this comes off as a slap in the face to someone that posted a recipe with the generous intent to share it with the community. I can't understand the problem with posting a recipe without all the bs attached. If you want to get into the gory details by all means do so but it shouldn't be a "requirement." JMHO

Understandable. I'll keep that in mind for my next post(s)
