Need help rounding out a melon-type juice
submitted about 10 years ago by DickGoblin

Picked up some melon flavorings and whipped something up
Cap Sweet Watermelon 6%
TFA Honeydew 3%
TFA Canteloupe 2%
TFA Dragonfruit 2%
Koolada 10%, 1%
The only problem is its a very light/mellow flavor. I need some suggestions from you fine folks to help me add something to give it a little bolder flavor. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Strawberry Ripe. Also some Apple cider vinegar can make it pop more sometimes.

tried the Strawberry Ripe and am pleasantly surprised with it. Gave the juice a little kick and makes the overall profile much better, thanks

I find its a good thickener for fruits that are thin. Doesn't impart a strawberry flavor per se if used sparingly but juiciness.

Cucumber is a popular mix with melons. Pear is as well. You could try adding a tiny bit of apple, kiwi, or coconut, just to enhance the flavor profile a bit.

Edit: here is Meloncholy for some inspiration.... scroll down on the comments section for an updated version someone else made, with passionfruit etc. https://www.reddit.com/r/DIY_eJuice/comments/2dten9/after_a_few_mixes_that_didnt_out_so_well_ive/

I actually completely forgot, i have a bottle of cucumber that i have yet to use, so this is doable. The only apple i have is tfa G apple and it gives off a very artificial and unpleasant taste, do you have any recommendations for other apple concentrates?

FA Fuji. Everyone recommends it. To me it tastes like a candy apple, but then again They all do, to me. Some people say it tastes more real.

If you're going to pickup FA Fuji, I recommend also grabbing FA Kiwi and FA Liquid Amber. Although i haven't used the amber yet, I've read many times it pairs well with Fuji.

Oh and check out Funk3s Blood, if you wanna try a mighty sweet apple kiwi blood recipe.

FA Amber is on my wishlist. I am very curious about how that one tastes and pairs with other flavorings.

I would add about 1% TFA pear. I have found that TFA pear compliments all my fruit mixes and helps round them out.

Cut the watermelon to 3. Add 3% pear and 3% strawberry- ripe, Capella, or tfa or combine any of them.

A good bold is kiwi. Kiwi in small amounts would give it more boldness. Not too much maybe 1% to bring it all together

Bubble gum and/or 1 drop of mint per 10mL

TFA honeysuckle around 1-1.5% tends to add "juiciness" to my fruit mixes.
