[Recipe/WIP] Banana Cream Pie
submitted about 10 years ago by ChrononaughtOne of "The Damned"

Hey there!

I really wanted to make a banana cream pie recipe and I think I've made something pretty good. It should be noted that this was a shake and vape as I haven't had time to steep it yet.

Banana Cream Pie

  • LA Banana Cream - 5%

  • TFA Dairy - 1%

  • TFA Brown Sugar - 1%

  • TFA Vanillin - 1%

  • LA Butter - 0.5%

  • CAP Graham Cracker - 3%

  • CAP Banana - 2%

Sweetner (optional) - 3 drops/10mL

Vaped in a Billow v2 dual coil @ 1.0 ohms @ 30W

I started off with this recipe: http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/aida-mollenkamp/double-banana-cream-pie-recipe.html

I originally wanted to use TFA Banana Cream, but I'm out :( so I opted for LA Banana Cream. 5% was a guessing point (Could use 6% for a little more banana flavor). I also wanted to add an additional banana note so I went for CAP Banana. It has a unique banana flavor that I just haven't gotten to use in much else, but I feel it goes pretty well in this one.

The foodnetwork recipe calls for whole milk, so I said hell why not try some TFA Dairy. I haven't tried it without this flavor yet though. I feel as if it adds a decent creamy note to it.

Brownsugar was also used as an ingredient in the actual recipe. I started off with 0.5% and bumped it up just slightly to 1% to make it a little more distinguishable.

Vanilla extract was also called for in the actual recipe, so i opted for Vanillin. This could probably stand to be increased for more flavor. Some possible other candidates: TFA Vanilla Swirl, Vanilla Bean Ice Cream, and FA Vanilla Classic.

LA Butter. This one im not quite sure about as I've never used this flavor before. I can't tell if this small amount of flavoring is doing anything justice or not (so this is TBD, could probably be mixed without).

Finally for the crust I went with CAP Graham Cracker over TFA Graham Cracker/ TFA Pie Crust because it also gives me a little bit of cinnamon flavor (IMO) which goes well with the recipe.

Again, this is just the second revision and I intend on upping the two banana flavorings to let the banana stand out a little bit more. LA Butter could probably be dropped (could someone weigh in on this flavoring for me?). I like where everything else is with the exception of a little more experimentation with the TFA Dairy (either drop completely or up/down).

Thank you for reading! Please give it a go (preferably in a small bottle if you have the flavorings). I would love someone else to weigh in on some of these with some recommendations and I'll tinker some more! Sorry this was so long, but I'm trying my best to elaborate on my thoughts throughout the recipe.

I accidentally posted this in /r/DIY_eLiquid (meant to post here) so that's why it's in both lol.
