The thought of watermelon and any sort of cream together kind of weirds me out for some reason, but I'm gonna try this, for science.

Their is a fastfood joint here that sells Watermelon Milkshakes during the summer. They are weird and not in a good way lol. Some things are better not mixed.

Sounds like Cook Out. I have to agree with you, they're terrible. The shakes, not the food.

Us east coast southern folk.ha. I love their shakes and hate the food. Never tried the watermelon shake though.

Replace that custard with coconut and just a hint of lime and you'd have a delicious Tongan Otai vape.

ooohhh... thats interesting. I love lime so much I just can't get enough of it. I'm so close on the Placid clone I just need to figure out what is giving it that extra alcohol/lime burst of flavor.

I've never tried Placid, but I'm a lime-lover too, both in e-juice and actual limes, so maybe I should. What've you got in your clone so far?

This is based off of others posts about placid. I do think the lime is the wrong lime so I just ordered some of the FA lime cold pressed to see if that does it. I also there might possibly be a tiny bit of hazel nut in there but don't have that yet either.

Do you have any lime recipes you like? So far this is one of the few ADV's for me. I hope the cold pressed really pushes it further (:

Sounds pretty interesting! Saving and giving it a go tomorrow.

Thank you for sharing.

Edit: Whipped up a 30 of it. I'll let you know how it is tomorrow after an overnight steep!

I got Capella's watermelon hoping it would be better than TFA's. :( I really wanna try this one.

I hear FW watermelon is nearly perfect for cloning Kryptonite and/or Jaws.

I've been trying similar mixes but with Greek yogurt instead of the Bavarian cream. Gives it a nice dry tang that I really quite like, but probably isn't for everybody. But this seems like a pretty solid recipe to my inexperienced eyes at least. Thx for sharing!

Please do! I'm always open to tips/improvements.

by moonerdooderabout 10 years ago

Can't offer much for tips or improvements cuz I'm fairly new myself. Not too knowledgeable in a lot of flavors but I'll certainly know if I like it or not. Haven't messed with too much watermelon too much with so this'll be good flavor to mix. Gonna be a while in the day before I post back here though, gonna mix up a batch after work then I'll let you know.

There's a company up here in Canada called Darkside Creations that makes a very similar flavour called 'Kings Cream'.

by torturedzenabout 10 years agoMixologist

Similar to one I make except I ditch the custard and use CAP Honeydew with TFA Watermelon.

sorry to necro, but I finally got around to making a batch of this, and it's actually really good! I'm kind of surprised how well the watermelon and cream works together. Thanks for the recipe!
