Help I can't math!
submitted about 10 years ago by Levi-89

So I've got

1 x 10ml 12mg 1 x 5ml flavoring 1 x 40 ml pg/VG

How do I figure out what the nicotine per ml will come out to?

Thanks.

12mg x 10ml = 120mg of nicotine total.

You've got 10ml + 5ml + 40ml of volume.

120mg/55ml = 2.2mg/ml

You know the calculator that a lot of us use, will do all that math for you...

In my example here
I have 60mg nic in a 100% VG solution
I want a target strength of 1.8mg
in a 30ml bottle
the results tell me to use 0.9mls

Is that 40 ml a mix of pg/vg? If so your total volume amounts to 10 + 5 + 40 = 55 So you had a 10ml 12mg/ml nicotine, now it's in 55ml the result is = (10/55)*12 = 2.18 mg/ml

If I got any of the volumes wrong you can just replace it above.

Also remember to shake well or you will get hotspots.

I use this as a really quick and dirty way to come up with what I'm doing. Might help you out next time.
