Why do all my Flavor Apprentice flavorings become murky when shaken?

It's the pineapple. Everything I put it in does it.

+1 just got into diy and make a straight pineapple for myself and can confirm this happens every time lol

can confirm, pineapple has a 100% chance to "murkify" your juice

micro bubbles. also sugars and sweeteners within the extracts. just give it a hot water bath and let it steep and it should clear up.

I'm a noobie to making my own juice. Thank you!

I would highly advise you to not heat your flavorings! Especially fruits -- they are small aroma molecules and will escape your bottle with the help of heat.

Also, there are no sugars in these flavorings

I've always heard to air them overnight with the cap off to allow the alcohol to evaporate.

really? do fruits generally not require steeping? I find that in my fruit heavy mixes, without creams or custards, I have to give it a few days at least until everything begins to chill out and I've been considering heat steeping for pretty much everything.

What % VG? Since VG is pretty thick, my higher vg mixes always look cloudy after that first serious shake. The cloudiness is just a bunch of air bubbles sitting in the vg. They'll dissipate given a few hours or so usually. It's definitely nothing to worry about.

87%VG/13%PG

Should I leave the cap off to let the air bubbles dissipate?

Ripe Banana tends to do this for me.

Triacetin maybe? Do any of the flavorings contain this? Had a banana strawberry cream that did this.

I have a pineapple raspberry recipe and it clouds like that. After steeping for a few weeks it eventually clears up.

Is it fine to vale now or should I let it steep for a while?

A question i have been posing to myself for 2 years. Sometimes i can make 2 batches of the same juice, side by side at the same time. One will go all funky and one will be clear. No difference in the batch, its just one goes murky and one doesnt.

It doesnt affect the flavor. Ive tried heating the liquid, post mixing, to regain its clarity, sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt.

I've found that banana ripe and pear make the juice foggy.

nectarine and pineapple both possess insolubles that will appear murky upon first mixes. Steeping with heat or open-capped lengthier steeping will help tons, and will clear over time. Higher VG mixes will make this effect more prominent, as PG possesses a solubility factor closer to the flavorings.

Way to much sperm flavor in that mixture!
