One of my favorite failed Gremlin Juice flavors
submitted almost 10 years ago by gremlinjuice

Very short lived on the site, but I still like it a lot! I would love to see it have a second breath of life through the DIY populace. (And if I should be posting these in a sub section other than here, please let me know.)

Blue Hawaiian

42% Hypno Type Flavor - TPA

25% Jamaican Rum - FW

11% Mango - FW

11% Orange Cream - Cap

10% Golden Pineapple - Cap

1% Cotton Candy - FW

I can translate this into a ml measurement, but I figure that most of you are using an eliquid calculator, or at least excel... if you would like a full mixed bottle recipe, let me know what size, nic and ratio you would like to see this broken down to.

I will be posting more recipes in the future, so teach me how you all would like to see them posted. :) I have a few drink recipes that were never sold and some that failed. We are known for custard and Vanilla, so a lot of the more exotic flavors were never given a chance. (sad face)

Thank you for making us feel so incredibly welcome! I have felt awkward posting here for SO long, but at heart, I'm still just a DIY guy. Maybe I can talk some of the other "agents" into joining me in here. LOL

You are fine to post these to the main sub so that they are readily searchable by the population if they search for gremlin juice.

As far as how to post these, typically the format we use is what percentage of the total mixture. IE:

7% Apple
6% Cranberry
1% Cotton Candy
4% Watermelon

This let's people know that it's 18% percent total flavoring and they can figure out their PG, VG and nicotine from there. As posted now, you are telling us how to create a flavor base which is just fine by me, but not according to how the majority of people mix.

LMAO If I EVER handed my mixers this they would revolt!

8.4% Hypno - TPA

5% Jamaican Rum - FW

2.2% Mango - FW

2.2% Orange Cream - Cap

2% Golden Pineapple - Cap

0.2% Cotton Candy - FW

80% nic PG/VG

At this ratio I would seriously make the Cotton Candy optional. I doubt you would even notice it one way or another. Just make it 2.2% Pineapple.

Hehe even @ 0.2% you notice the little bit extra EM but definitely not a huge difference. It's more of a mouthfeel thing than a sweetness at that level.

The reason we prefer it this way is this is how our calculators work =).

For example

It would be exactly as noticeable as if you made a flavor base with 1% EM then diluted it. Whether mixed from a diluted base that originally had 1% EM or mixed from this "final product percentage" recipe, the final product will contain 0.2% EM either way. At least that's how I understand it... Right?

0.2% can still make a noticeable difference in mixes, depending on the flavor/chemicals of course. It probably just seems like a much smaller amount if you're only used to working with undiluted base percentages.

Edit: forgot my main reason for replying... Why would your mixers revolt if you handed them that recipe?

Also, thanks for these recipes, it's awesome to get a peek "behind the curtains" of great juice makers mixes!

> Why would your mixers revolt

We use a pre mix method, so if someone orders a 15ml bottle, there is 3ml of flavor. Done. If they have to stop what they are doing to figure out how much flavor is 0.2% (And measure it accurately) the wheels would fall off the bus and nothing would ever ship! It's just easier when that 0.2% is 32ml of flavoring. (32ounce premix bottles (and don't quote me on the math. I don't math in the mornings))

Well Rich, be prepared for a mixer revolt when I ask you for some more Kentucky Mint Julep.

I kind of like the base percentage better, as in what gremlin initially did. As long as they add the percentage of base used in pg/vg.

I know we all DIY here but Gremlin is the only juice I vape other than my own at this point.
If you want to support these guys they have a 20% off sale going right now. I highly recommend them to even those who dont order juice anymore.

Any "must" vapes?

by christophersonalmost 10 years ago

Apple pie. Hands down my favorite. Instead of your standard apple pie vape I wanna say they use some FW dutch apple pie and just made it work. I feel like most brands offer the same cap/tfa apple pie mix but Gremlin completely nailed it on this one. Blue gremlin is an excellent waffle, then both strawberry short cake and pixi dust. Pixi dust is a wonderful strawberry custard.
Fuck it. I have some apple pie left, if you wanna try it PM me your address and I'll send you some free.

That blue gremlin! I ordered tons of that in my early days of vaping. It is some tasty juice and one that I have even tried to clone once; unsuccessfully.

What % of the final mix is this flavoring mix?

4 points

by gremlinjuicealmost 10 years ago

I mixed this one at 20% flavoring. It's a bit strong, so it can go down to 14% or 15% if you like. (I like "in your face" flavor with most of my mixes)

Grem melons?

by gremlinjuicealmost 10 years ago

Not what you are looking for exactly, but here is the recipe for which I drew the inspiration for the Grem Melon Balls recipe. I'm sure I actually found it on Foodnetwork.com but this is pretty much the same recipe.

(The name of that flavor was supposed to be a joke, but I'm not sure if anyone ever got it! Grem Melon Balls... say it out loud 3 times. Now, it will forever be in your head. LOL)

Wow! You rock man. Your juice is what truly got me off the cigs. Back when I was rocking my MVP2 and Aerotank. I am so glad your sharing recipes (Even if they are not good sellers); and that you are also posting here.

I always found HYPNO Type to be so harsh with a major throatkick. I don't have all the ingredients but I am going to put them on the list for next time.

Thanks again!

Strawberry Vanilla and Blueberry. Sorry, that's all you're gunna get out of me for that one. :) (There are at least 7 components in there though, so you may get close, but....)

By far my favorite juice. Not only Gremlin, but in all. Rich gets it right where others fall flat. Love the balance...and that fresh berry taste.

I noticed you stopped making the Pink Sunburst a while back. Any chance we get that recipe? It was good!

by gremlinjuicealmost 10 years ago

You might be thinking of something different... That one is right here safe and sound.

Ah that's the one. I was mistaken in thinking it was no longer available.

I prefer to imagine you were trying to trick him in to posting the recipe.

I actually prefer recipe percentages for bases rather than in concentrate as it allows for end mixers to adjust flavor potency.

Surprised this one didn't make the cut on your site. I bought a couple bottles and thought it was delicious!

7 points

by gremlinjuicealmost 10 years ago

I really thought it would do well, but as most people only buy what they know, nobody wanted to take a chance on it. Even the samples that got sent out didn't make an impact.

I run a report every month and anything that has only one or less in sales goes into the departures section, or just goes away. I really want to get back to 50 flavors! I never intended to go higher than that, it just kinda happened. LOL

At least now you know how to make it! :)
