How long does Butterscotch (when used as part of a recipe @ 4%) take to mellow out? I've tried making the clone of Gambit and the Butterscotch is just way too overpowering. At the moment it's pretty unvapeable but I'm assuming that it gets better with age (I hope). Any thoughts/advice guys?

Since when does apple pie have butterscotch in it though? Lol I think caramel would work much better in a gambit clone. I like tfa's butterscotch but only combined with other flavors in small percentages .5-2%
TFA Butterscotch was hard for me to work with. I don't have my notes here but LOW percentages and mixed with some baked/creamy notes to compensate for the slightly what I remember as acidic taste? Tough to get right though.
I use TFA butterscotch at 0.5% in a ice cream vape of mine and it's a prevalent flavor.
Try 1% and let steep for a day or two.

I didn't like TFA's butterscotch. I remember getting a very alcohol like flavor with it. Flavour Art and even Flavor West make far superior butterscotch. Maybe check them out sometime. I agree with others regarding the Gambit Clone. Definitely caramel over butterscotch. Maybe the butterscotch was used to add a buttery note. Apple pie's can be buttery, namely the crust. Nonetheless, I'd definitely go with caramel as it has a buttery note as well.
there something odd about FA's Butterscotch, anything over 2% i lose the taste and the the whole batch does not vaporize properly, and by that i mean same percentages of butterscotch from FW or TFA will vaporize just fine but with FA i need to raise the wattage and the flavor is just not there!!
any recipes you would recommend for FA Butter Scotch!
Lol. I don't use any of FA's flavors over 2%. Sometimes too much flavor can result in a muted/non-existent flavor. Maybe that's what's happening there. One of the best concoctions I've made is the following. I call it Like-A-Somebooty
1% Custard (FA)
1% Caramel (FA)
5% French Vanilla (TFA)
1% Butterscotch (FA)
2% Vanilla Swirl (TFA)
This may take a while to steep. (it does for me but I steep my stuff much longer than many people do) This was inspired by Twisted420's Like a Sir. I have no idea how it compares but I used the flavor profile to make this. Results are a nice butterscotch custard flavor. If you like/need stronger flavor, you can increase both the Butterscotch and Custard to 2% but I wouldn't go higher or change any of the other percentages.
Thank you. would you believe me that i came up with the same recipe, well almost the same. all where tfa except for butterscotch and the ratios where way way off! oh and i had vanillin and cotton candy(em @10%) and honey(tfa) 1-3-1% respectively on top. Too many flavors man!
