Berry Blast Recipe (Looper Lookalike) - More Berry Emphasis
submitted over 10 years ago by Botboy141Gunner's Gold Gourmet E-Juice

So I've been working on this one for about 6 weeks, 23 variations and non-stop tastings...

Basically, I wanted something reminiscent of Looper that wasn't looper. I wanted a bit of the sweet creaminess (not necessarily overpowering meringue), but I wanted more of a berry top note and less crunch to it than I'm used to with Looper. I wanted the base to be a little thicker, heavier feeling. I doubt anyone out there has all of these flavor concentrates, if you do though, I highly recommend.

So to start I had to figure out my base, I started with the standard cereal ingredients of:

FA Meringue
FW Yellow Cake
FW Hazelnut

and expanded from there to get the base I wanted. The final base wound up being:

1% FLV Vanilla Custard
2% FA Meringue
1.5% FW Yellow Cake
1.5% FW Hazelnut
2% TFA Rice Crunchies

This makes for a "heavier" vape than the traditional light/sweet blend for cereals. This is actually OK as a standalone vape, but you'll want to bump the percentages up about 25% and add 1% FA Catalan Cream if you really just want some creamy goodness.

Next I had to figure out the berries, this took until my latest trial flavors of FLV arrived. The second I opened up FLV Boysenberry I knew it had to go into this mix. This was after trying to use FLV Blueberry, FLV Blueberry Muffin, as well as about a dozen other berries. FLV Boysenberry has something I can't quite describe going on but damn is it good. And like all of the flavors I've tried from them so far, exceptionally "clean" tasting.

Our berry base wound up being:

1.25% FLV Boysenberry
0.5% FLV Strawberry
0.55% INW Raspberry Malina

Once I had this combination whipped up, it was time to start playing with things that work well with this combination of flavors to add a little more depth and fun to. Tried about a dozen variations so far and my personal favorite adds:

0.2% FA Anise
0.2% FLV Pink Guava

This gives us a final recipe of:

##Berry Blast

1.25% FLV Boysenberry
0.5% FLV Strawberry
0.55% INW Raspberry Malina
1% FLV Vanilla Custard
2% FA Meringue
1.5% FW Yellow Cake
1.5% FW Hazelnut
2% TFA Rice Crunchies
0.2% FLV Pink Guava
0.2% FA Anise

I know, I know, 5 vendors, 10 ingredients and some stuff that you can't even purchase in non-wholesale amounts at the moment (FLV Boysenberry) but seriously, if you happen to have these ingredients or something close to it you can sub, and you like Looper but want something heavier and less sweet, more berry, more cream, with that hint of custard, you've gotta give this one a shot!

Some slight adjustments to make with additives and things to play with still (might need a dash of marshmallow or EM) but yum yum yum. Honestly, this is probably in my top 3 of my favorite vapes I've ever crafted. It's just that yummy. I can't promise it'll be an ADV forever for me as too much cream is always tough for me, but since I finished it off 3 days ago, I can't put it down.

Hope everyone enjoys!

Edit: Mixed 20/80 PG/VG.

When's the 30ml flavor base of this going up for sale??

No time soon as I don't have enough of a handful of these flavors to take it to production.

Ok so I have been eyeing FLV's new stuff but haven't picked it up yet just because I didn't want to buy a ton of it on a whim. I'm gonna wait for the 15ml's to try them. But anyway, I have everything but the Boysenberry, which sounds amazing!

Leave it out or sub something else? I have a ton of flavors...all of FLV line except the new wholesale ones.

TFA Boysenberry may work @ half the percentage but it's not nearly as tasty as FLVs. If you choose to leave it out, bump up the Strawberry and Raspberry a little.

Dammit. You always do this to me. I only have meringue, hazelnut, and yellow cake.

Sorry! I kinda knew no one would be able to make this one for one, but I couldn't resist sharing this tasty creation.

The flavorah is probably going to be the most problematic. They were out of stock of at least one of the flavors needed. Oh well, I'll try it eventually.

First i just want to say, I LOVE YOU. Look I mix for about 10 people right now and charge them next to nothing just so i can expand my diy a bit. Even with those folks it feels like i'm constantly mixing juice and tweaking a recipe or two a day and thats my free time. You though, you have many customers and a website to run. Yet your still find time to moderate this; more importantly you give us great information and resources like this.

So i'm going to order some FLV now. How good is the strawberry? I have FA strawberry, Cap sweet strawberry, TFA strawberry and ripe S All good, is the FLV going to bring anything to the table here? Everyone seems to love FLV's custard so ill just grab that guy now. Thanks again for your awesomeness.

And how do you like the INW Raspberry over FA Raspberry. To me FA raspberry taste like a fresh one but i want more of a candy tasting raspberry.

FLVs Strawberry is like the perfect combination of TFA Strawberry, Strawberry Ripe and CAP Sweet Strawberry but 5x more potent.

That comment made me very happy.

Oh and INW Raspberry vs FA, INW is just better, FA seems dry and almost too realistic to me, INW brings in the perfect element of sweet/sour raspberry.

Thank you for the kind words, I have a separate full time job also, multi-tasking ftw!

Thank you for making an informative, relative post describing your journey to coming up with this recipe. Too many single posts lately that should be in the monthly thread instead.

I didnt even realize there was a new flv flavor. Went to the website... and not offered in 15ml; more than that though is they have around 5 new flavors (Berry Crunch, Raspberry, Caramel, Butterscotch, Boysenberry).

I sent them an email inquiring about 15ml purchases of these new flavors but havent heard anything back yet. It is also a shame they don't reddit much anymore. Calling /u/flavorah !!!!

Edit: And I will be trying this once I can get my hands on some boysenberry.

They actually have 8 new flavors =)

Boysenberry
Raspberry
Caramel
Wild Melon
Butterscotch
Crunch Cereal
Rich Cinnamon
Cream

I'm working on getting some reviews done, should have a nice post up in ~2 weeks reviewing all 8.

Nice! Can't wait for your reviews. I am really interested in that crunch cereal and raspberry; wild melon sounds intriguing too.

Wild Melon smells absolutely amazing. Primarily honeydew notes I'm getting from it but anxious to try it.

I can only vape so damn much though and I haven't been able to put down my own recipes long enough to vape some single flavor standalones.

OHHHHH a recipe with FLV! Good stuff man, thanks for sharing! Really went all out with this one.

Side note, anyone hear from FLV lately? I last saw they were working on some new flavors but nobody could get ahold of them..

/u/flavorah messaged me maybe 2 weeks ago to see if I'd be interested in trying out these 8 new flavors before he brought them to the DiY community. Hadn't been trying to get a hold of them but I bet they're responding to email. I know they've been pretty busy with their wholesale orders as that is their primary focus.

Might be about time to hire additional staff to handle the DiY community =).

Hey bud. Want you to know that SOMEONE (me) made this and shares the same experience!

I noticed it is lacking on the creamy side, but overall it's a solid mix. Honestly, it kind of reminds me a bit of Crystal Light without the extra dilution from water. I think the Pink Guava is causing that though. I might omit that altogether in the next mix and add marshmallow like you suggested.

Overall, really nice mix! Appreciate you and your sharing. :)

EDIT: Also, this is my findings after only a day of steeping on max VG. So, this might change after a week. Interested to see where this flavor sways!

After 2 weeks, the creaminess and custard come out a lot more and the fruits fade more to the background. I really like it around week 3.

Thanks so much for trying.

Looks good and I've got everything but the boysenberry

FA Forest Mix might be a good sub?

by Botboy141over 10 years agoMixing like a mad man...

That could definitely sub @ the same percentage. Won't be identical but should still be very very tasty.
