Lol ok I'm old, but I knew that he was just being funny in the intro..that wasn't real, was it? Anyway the recipe looks good and I'm gonna try it. I think I only have TPA mandarin though. /u/enyawreklaw will that work?
Yea just a joke, so funny
I thought so. Lol hey have you ever worked on a pink starburst liquid? It must be tough, I'm not finding anyone that's had much success.
Can't look at the video is it possible to get the recipe?
- FA Mandarin - 3%
- FA Orange - 1%
- FA Fresh Cream - 1%
- FA Vienna Cream - 2%
- FW Vanilla Bean Ice Cream - 2%
- TFA Vanilla Swirl - 3%
- Mix at MAX VG (88%vg) and great shake and vape, better with overnight steep
I love all these Young Lungz videos. Orange Creamsicle is a bitch of a flavor that I haven't had much success with. To me, an orange creamsicle has to have
- loads of mouthfeel
- orange can't be too bright
- no rind flavor at all
- lots of vanilla
Every month or so, I'll try a few iterations to see if I can get a little closer. This month I tried these ones out:
Recipe 1
2% Marshmallow (CAP)
10% Orange Creamsicle (CAP)
6% Vanilla Bean Ice Cream (TPA)
Recipe 2
2% Mandarin (FA)
2% Marshmallow (CAP)
10% Orange Creamsicle (CAP)
6% Vanilla Bean Ice Cream (TPA)
Recipe 3
1% Liquid Amber (FA)
5% Orange Creamsicle (CAP)
2% Peaches and Cream (CAP)
6% Vanilla Bean Ice Cream (TPA)
Recipe 4
1% Liquid Amber (FA)
2% Orange Creamsicle (CAP)
3% Peaches and Cream (CAP)
2% Sweet Tangerine (CAP)
6% Vanilla Bean Ice Cream (TPA)
The best one of those being Recipe 2. Some thoughts:
Liquid amber is good at removing rind flavor. French vanilla is also good at achieving this and I should have used that instead (plus, more vanilla)
TFA Orange Cream is rindy, even at small percentages. FA Mandarin is a bit rindy as well, but it seems to slowly weaken as time goes on
Mixing peach with orange is a bad idea. Peach is too overpowering
If you're using orange creamsicle (cap), start at 10% as it's pretty weak imo
try some strawberry ripe with the orange cream. smooths out the orange and makes it quite nice. i dont really go for cream flavors so never went after the center of the dreamsicle, however i did eat one the other day. i so roughly a 5:3 ratio of orange cream to strawberry ripe.
Is the strawberry noticeable at this ratio or does it just help the orange, if you know what I mean...?
You're using CAP Orange Creamsicle a lot, I generally see people using TFA Orange Cream. Is the capella worth picking up? I feel like an orange creamsicle should be an easy recipe to do but it actually is really hard to get right. I've been trying for a while also.
Sorry I didn't see this before. Cap Creamsicle is worth picking up but don't plan on using it as the main note -- it's too weak but it's great in the background.
I've had some recent success with using FW Blood Orange, Cap Creamsicle, and DIY Flavor Shack's Holy Vanilla.
TFA Orange Cream simply doesn't work for me, although I have tried over a dozen times
I feel like he recorded this with anticipation of the recent news. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
But seriously, another great video. It also seems like he's more comfortable with the camera, too--obviously, but also just the way he speaks. Really coming into his own.
Not my cup of tea. That intro... come on now.
Future aspiring diy'er here, but I can't watch that guy, and an orange creamcicle is something I want to try.
I was subscribed to the channel, I guess for future reference but not no more.
It's called a sense of humor
Oh I get that, it's more than just the intro. He's a little to... scattered, for me to want to watch.
edit: maybe I am just getting to old lol
