Is there a way to test for presence of nicotine in juices I've mixed?
submitted over 10 years ago by makejuicejuice

Hello, new to here.. lurked a long time. I have made a bunch of juices over the last few weeks and some of them I've mixed with Nic and some I didn't and didn't do a great job at tracking which is which.

Is there a test I can use to test for the presence of nicotine? I don't really need it to tell me how much nicotine is there, but I'd like to know which ones are which and it's bugging me.

edit: oh it would be great if it's some chemicals i can buy easily from a shop or something.

Thanks

Get a nicotine urine test kit.

Mix a little bit of your juice, like .1 mL with like .2 mL of distilled water. Then just use the urine test.

These are available at some drug stores or on amazon for like $1 each.

It's a highly specific reaction that you definitely won't be able to DIY unfortunately.

It probably tests for cotinine, not nicotine.

This is correct, however nicotine will also produce a positive result.

People won't love this idea... but you could always just put a tiny drop on your finger and lick it. I vape 1mg and I can taste the nicotine in my mixes that have it.

In the future, just make sure to make a label indicating what mg if any is in the bottle. Tape and white paper go a long way.

Wizard labs sold one last time I looked. It's probably cheaper to just pitch the juice and start over.

You can use a pool kit. For a swimming pool or hot tub.
