TheraPur-RX? Anyone try it?
submitted over 10 years ago by fifthmanstandingPâtissier

I did a search on the sub but found nothing.

Has anyone else tried this. There's a thread on /r/ecig about a company using it. I couldn't find much about using it. I dunno, I'm not sold on it but was wondering if anyone had observations about it.

Oh yeah. But I've not even heard of it before. I'm wondering if it's repackaged Propanediol with a brand name. The fact that they're stating that it's plant based makes me wonder about the safety of it, generally speaking.

Yeah would want to see a ton more research than what they have readily posted on their site before I'd even consider it.

Someone posted the MSDS and some other forms they got from the company in that other big thread in /r/electronic_cigarette

Edit: here's a link to that post: http://www.reddit.com/r/electronic_cigarette/comments/3a6bev/pgvgfree_eliquid/csa6hhi

You can go and ask the team here http://audiolumin.com/about/team/ what they know about it, considering it's the same shitty Boulder startup.

I emailed them asking where to get a sample to try it and they said to watch their Instagram for updates on a retail location. I would try it just cause I am curious of what it is like but wouldn't switch to it unless they have some test showing that it is better for you. Also I was unaware of any real issues with vg or pg other then allergies to pg and dehydration(easy fix drink water). Kind of fixing a problem that no one has. I fell it is just a gimmick for juice companys to say their juice is better.

Reading that website, they basically described vegetable glycerine. This just screams "scam" to me.

One time, I went swimming in a river. As I walked upon the bank, a sharp pain entered my left leg. I looked down and saw a plant with prickly hairs on the edges of its leaves, and a rash soon developed. This plant was nettle. I vowed that day to never come in contact with that again.

I wouldn't call it a total scam personally. They do use different ingredients in it that I've not heard of being used in juice before. Whether those ingredients bring any benefits is the only question I care about - whether it be clouds, flavor, throat hit, anything like that.
