I order a kit and some other supplies Friday and haven't gotten shipping confirmation yet. How long does it normally take before you ship? Hoping to use it this weekend.
hello Ash, this is an awesome giveaway! I am a new DIY e-liquid mixer and recently received a Liquid Barn starter kit and so far it is pretty awesome! Currently my first creations are steeping but I am sneaking a vape now and then and tastes pretty good. You don't have to include me in the giveaway as I have literally got mine last friday
Aye thanks for the kit! Only question I have is how strong are your flavorings? Cake Freeze sounds divine!
Thanks for doing this giveaway! The kit looks really nice.
I do have a question that you might be able to help me with. I've been eyeing your Lava Cake flavoring for a while now and was wondering if you knew how well it held up under high temperatures. I've been on the lookout for a chocolate cake flavoring but all the ones have tried have ended up tasting more like burnt tar in my dripper. Any chance yours might be the one i'm looking for?
Hello Ash ! What would be your favorite mix out of the starting kit ingredients ?
Hey. The flavors in our flavor kit rotate every month. But out of the flavors in the current kit. I love blue raspberry by it self at 8%. I also love orange banana mixed with pineapple. It's kinda like a Mai Tai. But those flavors aren't included in this months kit :(
What a great giveaway. I'm new to vaping, but wish I had given up smoking for this long ago. Hope to start making my own juice. Maybe this is how a I will get my start
It's never too late start! Good luck on winning and good luck on giving up smoking!!
This is something i could really use as a very new DiYer. Are these flavorings you guys make yourself? Ill be checking out your site for my inevitable future orders.
Hi /u/highso yes we formulate our own flavors. Our flavors are what we have spent most of our recent efforts on. Which is why our current selection is a little limited. We have over 150 flavors in beta testing, of which only about 5% pass and move on to bulk formulation. We make our flavors with the end ply owl in mind. Which is for vaping. All of our flavors are made in a diacetyl free lab. For more information on acetyl propanol, and acetoin check out our quality page.
Are these flavor extracts yours, or just rebranded? Also - I could always use more stuff.
After looking at your site I'm pretty sure I answered my own question. Just a suggestion on the flavor kit - allow people to pick 10 flavors of their choice, as opposed to picking for them.
Thats a very good suggestion. We have had a few customers tell us that. We were trying to stream line the process by prepacking the flavor kits. But it seems it might be wise to give the customers the option to pick their own flavors. Thanks for the suggestion!
You never know what combination of flavors someone will want--might as well make it optional. NudeNicotine does this with their flavors and starter kit, and it's a nice addition. Though, admittedly, when I bought my Starter Kit from NN, I was upset that I was getting NN flavors, since there aren't many recipes using them. I'm over that now, and am comfortable mixing...so I'm glad I have more flavors to choose from, even if uncommon :-)
Hi, and welcome! Do you guys make your own flavorings? Very interested in them, would love to try them out and will place an order soon!
Hi /u/Vapespin I'm going to copy and paste my answer to a similar question

So... my question is "Is this available to everyone or limited to america?"
Hey, u/TheDonkeyWheel. Can you tell me a little about the company itself?
Hey /u/sauceywaffles, Liquid Barn was (I think) the first wholesale supplier in California that had everything needed for creating eLiquid. Nicotine, PG, VG and flavoring. In the past year or so, as the vaping community has skyrocketed, we started getting a lot of consumer requests for liquids and labware. We started supplying DIY products which lead to us making our current DIY kit.
Our main focus is on premium quality liquids for the vaping industry. We sell only the highest purity PG and VG, NicSelect Nicotine and flavor extracts engineered for vaping.
For our wholesale clients we offer customized flavors and will reformulate custom recipes, to a single flavor extract for easier mixing. (2 week lead time | 1 Gallon Minimum)
Let me know if you have any other specific questions.
Also, in case you were wondering, I got involved with Liquid Barn after repeatedly bugging one of the founders (which happens to be a good friend) to help me create a juice that my uncle would enjoy enough to switch over to vaping. Now I do graphic design work for them and vape 0mg recipes all day :)
Thanks for the giveaway the kit looks great
Wow, I have been thinking about DIY for awhile. thanks for the giveaway!
Question: Does the kit include all the flavorings you guys have to offer, or do you pick certain ones?
The kit comes with 10 flavors. and the 10 flavors are swapped out each month. This months kit includes Baked Cinnamon Roll - Blue Raspberry - Chocolate Roll - Coke Freeze - Cream - Honeydew - Pineapple Sherbert - Pacific Cooler - Rainbow Sherbert - Vanilla Ice Cream
Although, we may just let the winner choose which 10 flavors they would like. Goodluck
Nice looking kit. I've actually used Liquid Barn for my nic recently and tried a handful of flavors and I've been impressed so far. Welcome to reddit!
My only question is - will it make coffee?
Best coffee around. "in my opinion, its all about the Quinic Acid level" Picture taken before the lab was destroyed
Maybe I should look into one of these. I've been lurking for months, and just haven't stepped into any of the diy stuff yet. I'm sure someone will enjoy the giveaway.
this would be a great intro to diy for me, fingers are crossed, thank you for being so kind
Good luck!
thank you, its actually really nice to have someone who will personally comment on each entry, makes us feel special :)
Thank you guys for doing this! Those flavors all sound really good, hoping I win so I don't have to buy them all. Either way its great to see some more interaction with this subreddit from vendors.
That is basically the exact kind of starter kit I've been looking for! Still haven't pulled the trigger on DIY but been doing a ton of research.
I'd love to toss my hat in if you would be willing to ship to Canada! I can't see it being a problem without nicotine?
Either way thanks for the giveaway!
neat, haven't heard of you guys before and will check you out
edit: who makes your flavors and nic? to ask another way, are they made in house or relabelled? if in-house how do you make them?
Nice setup, LiquidBarn! I bought nicotine about 2 years ago thinking that i would get into DIY but never did, and now i am interested in trying again. My question is, how long can i expect it to last? I have 1 bottle 2 years old that is 50/50 and one that is a year old and 100 VG. Do you think any of it will still be good? Hopefully I will win your kit and get to make some!
Thanks!
Looks like a killer deal for the kit! Comes with lots more than other starter kits. Even if I don't win, It would be a pretty good investment
Hello, as someone looking to get into DIY mixing what would you recommend from outside your kit?
Everything you need to make your own eLiquid is included in the kit. Some DIYers like storing their finished eJuice in glass bottles, which are available on our site. Besides that, the only thing I would suggest is maybe bigger mixing containers if you are thinking about making larger batches. Besides that, the kit should be all you need to get mixing.
Looks like an excellent kit, a couple of questions for you then!
- How long have you been making flavor extracts?
- On your Quality page I see you show percentages for the flavors that contain Acetoin and Acetyl Propionyl, will you be adding that info to the pages of the singular items as well?
- When will you be adding more flavors?
- I agree with /u/Tabboo:
> Just a suggestion on the flavor kit - allow people to pick 10 flavors of their choice, as opposed to picking for them.
- And lastly, I think I love you. Want to go out for coffee sometime?
Thanks for the giveaway and Welcome to Reddit.
I wanted to reply with bullets, like you. But I dont know how to do that :(
-Our current flavor line was launched in December.
-With the recent reports coming out about flavor companies lying about their ingredients. We sent in our flavors to be tested and will be providing that information on each flavor page.
-We currently have around 150 flavors in beta testing, of which only 5% will make the cut. It took us about, 4 months to release 10 new flavors last time. But we are hoping to cut that down to 2 months between each new set of flavors.
-I agree with /u/Taboo as well. and will bring it up again to the team.
-Thank you for the love! I will never turn down coffee.
To add bullet points type "* (whatever here)" :D
As for the Coffee I hope you like Starbucks, you'll have to come up to Wa to take me up on the offer. Which I doubt you will, as it seems our Gov. is not a fan of Vape business up here.
Comment = tittysprinkles
Future Liquid Barn flavor = TittySprinkles
I wonder if the FDA will have a problem with it.
Convinced my buddy to start vaping and had him choose some of your extracts, he mixes blue raspberry and strawberry and loves it! I don't need a kit as I'm all set up but thanks for doing this.
Welcome Donkey Wheel.
Hey! Thanks for doing this! I actually have a question: I'm fairly new at diy juice, and whenever I'm using the juice calculator, it won't let me take my juice above 70 pg. What am I doing wrong?
Which juice calculator are you using?
It may be caused by the amount of PG allowed, based on your nicotine. If your nicotine is a VG base; then how ever much of it you need to reach your desired strength, will have to be included in your VG ratio.
So if 30% of your recipe is VG nicotine, then the maximum your PG could be is 70.
Thats a possibility to your question, but your issue may be something more specific to your juice calculator. If so, I can take a closer look if you'd like. Good luck!
I can't wait to start DIY. What kind of material do the manuals go over?
I know a few people on reddit do their mixing by weight, but our manuals go over the steps of making your own recipes by volume. It also comes with a nifty little recipe mat anyone that prefer doing their own calculations instead of using online calculators. Hope that helped.
Edit: is being nifty still a thing?
You guys have a lot of cool stuff. I want some of those plastic flasks for bulk juice :D
Do your LDPE bottles come with pointed or blunt tips?
You guys have nice prices all around. Thanks for the giveaway!
I've been looking at DIY kits, and yours looks very complete in comparison to others and well worth a serious look. Have to echo the sentiment that it would be nice to be able to choose your own flavorings, though.
Thanks for the chance to enter, like the look of the site. I noticed that you only sell your own flavor concentrates, any chance that you will expand, in the future, to include other flavor companies? This might help draw more traffic to your site, since a lot of DIYers are already familiar with Flavor Apprentice, Capella, Flavor West, Flavor Art, etc. Just a thought, besides the flavoring I love the selection, and pricing, on everything else.
I'm relatively new to the DIY juice world. I've been mixing my own juices for a few months. In regards to steeping, what is the best way to accomplish this? Is a hot water bath best or would a room temp steep for a few weeks be better. I usually shoot for 70% VG or higher in my juices as well.
How much EA is in your PG-free concentrates? Interested in Orange Banana but I tend to be sensitive to too much EA.
When do the flavors change in your kit? I was about to pull the trigger based on the review video, but the kit now has honeydew and cinnamon roll, two flavors which I literally cannot stand lol
Just starting DIYing a few weeks ago, still building the arsenal. Have a few solid mixes already that I'm proud of, but would love a chance to kickstart the range of flavors to work with! Do you guys have a chemist that mixes and extracts the flavors? So intrigued on the whole process... definitely shying away from doing my own extracts...
Hey /u/jonnybeatz glad to hear you're making some solid recipes. As for you question, I don't know the full flavor formulation process but will tell you my part in it. I also asked someone else for a better breakdown.
I know they make different batches of flavors next door to my office, and once a week bring around a tray prefilled cartomizers for us to taste and give feedback on. I've had certain flavors get up to 15 revisions and still don't pass this stage to go into production. And some that taste HORRIBLE. Its sometimes like tasting those trick jelly beans. Yuck.
I asked someone from our flavor team what the process is when formulating our flavors. This is what he said. We use some specialty equipment to separate the components of flavors at the molecular level. Then we re-structure flavors to taste, and blend our flavors in house for beta-testing. Once a finished flavor meets our standards, we send them to our contracted partner where they get tested and analyzed by a team that includes two flavor chemist. They check for any of diketones or different molecules we have indicated to not have in the formulation. Once it passes this stage, we save the recipe and give them the go ahead to start formulating large batches.
Hope that was of some help.
