submitted over 10 years ago by JohnGoatti

Mine are Cap vanilla custard V1, Cap NYCC, TPA Cheesecake (Graham Crust) They're my bases I tend to use and work from and I love the V1.

I love Mango drinks so I'm going to have to buy some of this.

it's been my adv for about six months

it's one of those flavours that works well in low or high levels. i'm comfortable at 2-5% for subtle vape, and 10-15% just gets super mangoey without being sickly sweet. not too ripe, just right.

I'm sold. Added to my list!

Ughh, and I just placed an order two hours ago! Totally sounds like something of love.

I agree, one of the better single flavors. I really like mixing with lemonade.

When I go above 8%, I have people tell me it tastes like mary jane flavor...lol

hmmmm mangonade! which lemonade you using?

by xPandaStyleover 10 years agoProud Sidebar Reader!

I've been using my 1 year old bottle of TFA lemonade lol. I always add 2 drops TFA Sour and 1 drop TFA Menthol. It's a decent shake-n-vape.

I have been trying to get a mango drink... kinda like a mango mojito...mangito flavor going, so far, I haven't been able to replicate the "spearmint" or mint leaf flavor, thats on the sweet side. I have been avoiding sweeteners, since I found out I am allergic to them.

  • FA Cookie
  • FA Meringue
  • FA Bergamot
  • CAP Sweet Strawberry
  • INW Biscuit
  • TPA RY4 Double
  • TPA Bavarian Cream
  • FW Yellow Cake
  • FW Hazelnut

I am sure CAP Vanilla Custard v1 is divine, but I just want to stay away from AP. I am afraid if I buy any, I will be vaping it 24/7.

1 points

by JohnGoattiover 10 years ago

Nice selection of flavours there. I have no issue with vaping V1. Whatever % of AP/Diacetyl is in it is in a cigarette in far far higher %'s

by fukitol-over 10 years ago

I think by "AP" OP meant Acetyl Pyrazine, not Acetyl Propionyl.

1 points

by JohnGoattiover 10 years ago

They're both in cigarettes. If I'm mistaken it's because I read it here

1 points

by JustSayNoToDiacetylover 10 years ago

No I was talking about Acetyl Propionyl. Cap v1 stuff typically contains it.

1 points

by jmillermcpover 10 years ago

Doesn't Bavarian Cream have AP? Unless you're using DX.

1 points

by JustSayNoToDiacetylover 10 years ago

Yes. I use the DX version, but just said Bavarian Cream. I am also suspicious that INW biscuit contains it, but they claim they don't use diketones in their flavors.

by SinkMixover 10 years ago

I thought FA Cookie and INW Biscuit were reasonably interchangeable? Could you elaborate on the differences? I'm curious now.

CAP Vanilla Custard V1, TFA Graham Clear, LA Banana Cream, and TFA Vanilla Bean Ice Cream. These are the only flavors I use enough to buy in larger quantities.

by JohnGoattiover 10 years ago

I keep Banana in, Graham cracker (Cap) and have a nice selection of vanillas: Cupcake, bean ice cream, Swirl, Bavarian Cream, French vanilla and of course V1.

Is that FA Fuji Apple? Bought a 60ml bottle of it and haven't tried it yet. What % do you mix it at?

2 points

by Daheavybover 10 years ago

Yea, left out the apple part.

I like it 3% on it's own. One of my fav summer puffs using the stuff:

  • CAP Sweet Watermelon 6%
  • FA Fuji Apple 1.5%
  • INW Lime 0.8% (FA Cold Pressed Tahiti Lime will do here too)
  • Koolada 0.7% (up to 1.5% depending on how much you like 'cool')

by mentiveover 10 years ago

Try it at 20% kidding Since it's FA, start at 2% and decide where to go from there.

1 points

by JohnGoattiover 10 years ago

I've just got Cap Horchatta in. Haven't used it yet in a mix but have a tester made to try once it's had a bit of steeping.

1 points

by Daheavybover 10 years ago

I've only had TFA's Horchata Smooth (not 'Horchata', which I've heard is strong as hell).

I'm curious to hear how it goes, especially if you've had experience with TFA HS.

1 points

by JohnGoattiover 10 years ago

TPA Horchatta at 5% on it's own is too strong for me! I couldn't imagine anything else being present taste wise if you used it at that %.

TFA Vanilla Bean Ice Cream

CAP Vanilla Custard v1

TFA Strawberry ripe

I have lots more, but normally always have these on hand. They mix with pretty much anything.

After reading this thread, INW Cactus and CAP sweet mango have been added to the shopping list. Thanks guys!

CAP-Vanilla Custard

CAP-Sweet Strawberry

LA-Banana Cream

TFA-Strawberry Ripe

Just a few of the must haves for me.

What sort of banana flavour is it, sweet shop/candy or more of a true banana?

1 points

by UnknownModderover 10 years ago

I have to say that I love the smores flavoring from High Desert Vapes

1 points

by JohnGoattiover 10 years ago

I've not heard of this one before.

2 points

by UnknownModderover 10 years ago

It's pretty good. Smores with a little taste of what I believe is honey.

1 points

by JohnGoattiover 10 years ago

So Graham cracker, Marshmallow, touch of honey and chocolate? Sounds like the perfect base or on its own vape.

by Thegreensgoblinover 10 years ago

I just got INW cactus and I've been putting it in basically everything fruit related. Gives it a nice watery drink feel to me

1 points

by JohnGoattiover 10 years ago

Or this! Maybe because I'm in the UK as I've seen neither on any of the sites I browse when ordering my concentrates.

You should be able to buy from them direct, since they're in the EU.

Can you describe it? Share your notes? Sounds interesting.

1 points

by Thegreensgoblinover 10 years ago

I'll try my best, but I'm at work away from my mix station. My actual first thought trying it standalone at %1 was that it tasted like some sort of strange Gatorade that I had never had before. It also leaves a mouthful of great after taste which is the "wetness" that I'm referring to. I think it goes great with TFA pear and dragonfruit as kind of an additive. However I believe it can be good as the main note, I just haven't figured it out yet. I give it a 7/10 so far.

1 points

by johnstone1690over 10 years agoOne of "The Damned"

I have still to get around to testing cactus what % would you suggest mixing it at ? to get the wetness but not the flavour?

2 points

by Nicobeakover 10 years ago

.5-1% for light flavor. 1.5 for good flavor. 2+ and it gets a little too green for me.

2 points

by Thegreensgoblinover 10 years ago

I'd suggest less than %1 or right at %1. If you're worried about the flavor, try experimenting until your main flavor covers up the taste of the cactus.

thanks will give it a try tomorrow

In no particular order--

FE Lemon -- Is there a fruit blend this doesn't make better?

FA Meringue -- Have you been to /r/cerealkillaclone ?

FW Hazelnut -- ibid.

FW Yellow Cake -- Okay, now my cereal's showing.

TFA Grape Juice -- If you don't own this, you should. A smooth, candy-ish grape. Much preferable as a standalone or a mixer compared to TFA Grape Candy.

TFA Acai -- A very subtle flavor, but it's up there with Quince as far as "awesome little-known TFAs" goes. It smooths blends out nicely, and I could see it having use in the champagne-y, koolada-ey summer concoctions everyone's been obsessed with lately. I haven't had real acai, so I can't compare it to the real thing, but I think this is more on the candy-ish side-- which is fine by me.

TFA Dragonfruit -- A very weird standalone, but mixes great with just about any fruit you could imagine. Fun fact, the flavor actually contains small amounts of triethyl citrate, which could be why it blends so well with other flavors.

Acetyl Pyrazine -- Not really a flavor, but still. That grainy-ness at low % can be really useful in cereal and dessert blends, and the weird, molasses-ey notes that you get before you get to the point where you're ending up with chocolate-hazelnut fritos can be useful in... something. Maybe.

I've never been fond of the typical "TFA Marshmallow, TFA sweet cream, TFA graham cracker, CAP Custard" bases most people tend to work with, especially because I try to mix diacetyl-free wherever I can.

LA - licorice

Cap - Cool Mint

Also various mangos, they often "sweeten" and add fullness better than additives.

Honestly there's a good 20 flavors I need to have at all times. And the list keeps growing

Same here, they keep adding new concentrates and I keep needing to buy them.

DRY-4, cinnamon bun, and MBV 555 are my must haves. For me, they can all be single mixed and vaped straight away.

I love my Cap cinnamon Danish swirl.
