Shared from FA club thread @ vapingunderground.com
"Hello: Just found this forum and this thread. Let me introduce myself. My social media name is Niagara ( Kayaker) in some places. I am the president of Flavour Art for North America. I have been an avid vaper and DIYer for 5 years. I am an admin on variuos DIY forums. I have been a fan myself of FA and use my products myself for my ADV recipes. I haven't yet read through the 210 pages of this thread but will in time. We keep people updated on new flavour products on our facebook page. We have just begum to ship from North America product with our warehouse full. A new North American website will go up within next 3-4 weeks. Look forward to alot of new marketing and new flavours all Diketone free arriving in next weeks and months. 3 new tobaccos, 3 new/old favorites no reformulated diketone free. We will have Enthalpy CAP's done from batch samples from our product constantly done and posted on our website. We will announce on a new FA large new clinical research study we will call ClearStream Onward this summer.
Mine as well tell you folks, Pistachio, Peanut, Yogurt, Ginger, Condensed Milk, are being released next month to our DIY vendors. All cert tested Diketone free. The 3 new tobaccos are each unique. One a pipe, one a strong tobacco another a smooth desert tobacco I cant stop vaping mixed at 3% with 2% Meringue and 3% EM myself."
I regret using the term "leak" instead of "shares" in the title.
Love FA yogurt, can't wait for diketone free FA yogurt. :) Nice to meet you, by the way.
Thanks for making some tasty flavorings. Looking forward to the US facing store! Buying in bulk from TPA is very convenient, and life would be a lot easier if your stuff we're the same
:/ he's quoting the guy from another DIY forum, vapingunderground.com
I love Flavour Art and can't wait to see new flavors! Just received Joy today (along with Rose, Mangosteen and Mad Fruit)
Ugh this fearmongering over diketones means companies are going to stop developing some juices /profiles, this sucks a lot for those of us who do not have a problem with diketones.
I doubt it. Flavorings with AP/DA will still be made for the food industry, so you'll always be able to get them. That is, of course, unless FDA or some other agency steps in and bans their use in foods. Then you're SOL.
So vape your diketones and be happy, but don't come crying to me in 10 years when you have 50% lung capacity like the microwave popcorn guy.
Good point!
There's zero scientific evidence supporting a causal link between diacetyl and popcorn lung so your concerns are not mutual.
There is strong correlation between diacetyl and popcorn lung in multiple studies (including animal tests). Can anyone say with 100% certainty that diacetyl causes popcorn lung? No. But then again there is not much in science that is a 100% immutable truth.
Not that big of news, it was either ECF or VU when Vaperstek was talking about FA's plans to launch their US facing web store in the summer of 2016.
Nice to finally see it happening though!
Is this going to be a website where small (DIY) level orders can be purchased or is it wholesale only?
According to what was posted on their facebook page, it's for wholesale only :(
Well, at least it might allow BCV to keep their flavors in stock now since it will be sourced from U.S. warehouses.
EDIT: I hope botboy is right and you're wrong, though. Either way, I will use BCV first since I like those guys and will use FA's own website as a backup.
They keep referring to it only as "North American", so I guess we can assume it's not in the US. So, Canada or Mexico which means we (or flavor shops) will still have to deal with higher shipping costs/customs issues :(
I think you may just be overthinking it. The only logical location based on demand for them to open up a warehouse in North America would be in the US. I'm 95% certain this is a US based location that's coming online.
My guess would be New York based or somewhere East Coast
It's certainly possible I'm overthinking, wouldn't be the first time LOL. And I agree that a US operation would make the most sense, in that we are the largest consumers of their products in NA.
However, I do have some past experience with marketing and PR. And if you were targeting the San Francisco market and moving your business to San Francisco, you would be shouting, "hey San Francisco, we're coming to your city!". But if you were targeting San Francisco and moving your company to San Diego, you would shout, " hey San Francisco, we're coming to California!"
Personally, based on what they've said, what they haven't said and taking logistics into consideration, I'd put my money on Canada - probably Montreal/Toronto area
Yeah and I see where you're coming from with that, except that I also see that as completely destroying the purpose of setting a North American base of operations.
There's no major difference for me as a US based consumer in paying shipping from Canada versus Italy.
The FA North American president is an admin at the DIY Recipes FB group if anyone is interested.
Thanks for sharing this here. That is pretty exciting. I've been hoping they'll release some new stuff for a while now.
I've heard a lot of people lately saying their meringue has changed without notice and it is more caramel-y. Wonder if this is related. Hope they change it back (if they did indeed change it).
Would guess a Canadian location based on the fact that Shaun Casey is part of the Canadian Vaping Association board of directors.
