I bought some 100mg vg based nic from nn and i usually have to mix my juices at 1.5-2mg to hit like 3. If i get nic suspended in pg, which this make a huge difference? Or are there any other nic brands that are better than nn?
FYI i shake my nic thoroughly before each mix
100% PG nicotine is much better than VG based nic. The only reason to get VG based nicotine is if you have a sensitivity to PG. PG-based lasts longer, is easier to work with, and doesn't have as many hot spots.
That said, since you do have VG based nic, make sure you are storing it in a freezer to preserve its shelf life. Also consider transferring your solution to a glass container instead of the plastic it's shipped in. Transfer the amount you plan to use in. 2-week span into a small container to prevent as much oxygen from contacting your nic.
When you are about to mix, bring your nicotine to room temperature and shake the hell out of it. Repeat shaking.
Regarding nic brands, NN and VapersTek are both awesome. CarolineXtract (sp?) is supposed to be one of the best but I haven't tried it yet personally
Wow, you know whats funny? I've always bought VG based nic and I've never even realized how dumb that is until reading your post just now.
Thanks. I think I'm gonna go lie down and scratch my head trying to figure out why I never thought about this before..
Just shake it very well. And if it's VG, you'd have to shake it even better. I don't really worry about it myself (using PG) just shake shake shake, shake shake shake.
I recently received a NN nic in vg as well. Forgot to shake before making a 30ml. Super harsh. Made another and shook the absolute shit out of the bottle and the harshness is gone.
Unmixed nicotine in the juice will look like streams or lines. Shaking oxidizes it. I would suggest you roll the bottle on a table or floor.
does it really? my nic has stayed clear with shaking since feb. i use 50/50 tho. would flipping it upside down a few times be better?
If you see air bubbles after shaking it then yea its getting oxidized. That would probably be better than shaking it.If it is a small bottle then it may not be that big of a deal. I've found that rolling it on the floor mixes just as well as shaking without all the air bubbles.
I mix and sell max vg juice. I use 50/50 nic base at 100mg/ml from Nude. I store all but 100ml in the freezer, using that to fill orders. Keeping some amount at room temp (away from sunlight) makes mixing easier and lets me shake the shit out of it before i mix to eliminate any potential hit spots.
