Weekly 'Suggest a Recipe for my Flavors' Thread - Week of June 12, 2015
submitted over 10 years ago by AutoModerator

Got a bunch of flavors but not sure how to make them work together? Post your list here, and our team of semi-professional mixologists will make suggestions for you! If you are impatient and want to do this on your own, here are a couple of good links:

  • /u/daath has a nice website that has this functionality, but you will need to register to make it work. It is not very intuitive but if you work with it you can input your flavors and get a list of recipes that you can make. IMO this is the better site if you have the patience to make it work for you. Edit2: to get this to work, first set up an account. Then add your flavors to the stash (under my page / my flavor stash). hit save. Then go back to the front page and click the link next to the search field, "Search by flavor stash". You can select a couple of your flavors and recipes that have those will pop up.
  • This site has a nice big search button with just what you're looking for.

Happy Mixing!

I just ordered a few flavors with a DIY kit to start getting my feet wet, I'll be buying some more next week but this is all I have for the weekend and I have no clue what to make.

all TFA flavors:

Cinnamon Danish

Frosted Donut

Bavarian Cream

Sweet Cream

Strawberries and Cream

Graham Cracker

Marshmallow

Hazelnut Prailine

Thanks yall!

Wow, that is a difficult list. How did you order? Based of a recipe that looked good, or did you just randomly select stuff?

I'd probably try

  • Cin Danish 6%

  • Graham cracker 3%

  • Bav cream 2-3%

Sorry I can't help more, but here are some of my recommended percentages for mixing.

Cin Danish ~ 4-8

Sweet cream < 2

Bav cream < 5 (I stick around 2-3)

Graham cracker I've used it at 8 and it was good, but generally 3-5

Marsh 2 - 4

Strawberry cream haven't used enough to tell you

Donut ?

Hazelnut 2%

Praline ?

Or maybe it was hazelnut praline. In that case ?

It was hazelnut prailine as a single flavor. I ordered them as I was kind of trying to make a specific flavor but it ended up being terrible no matter how I mixed it so now I"m kind of fumbling to make something vapeable. I made one that was the Cin Danish with both the creams that ended up being pretty good, tasted like Cloud Provision Remy a little bit. I also tried it with Cin Danish, Graham Cracker, and Marshmallow but that's not quite as good.

Thanks for the tips though!

You could try this out but be warned ive never used TFA strawberries and cream, only strawberry and strawberry ripe so YMMV.
S&C 7%
Bavarian Cream 4%
Graham cracker (assuming clear? Never used dark) .5%
Marshmallow 2 drops per 15 (could also try 1% - more so added for that mouthfeel)
I bet its not terrible :p

Strawberry Cinnamon Roll

  • 70/30 VG/PG
  • Cinnamon Danish 5%
  • Strawberry 5%
  • Bavarian Cream 1.5%
  • Vanilla Custard V2 2%

I'm thinking the custard and cream should get rid of the cinammon dryness. If the flavor isn't enough you could up the two primary flavors to 7.5%.

7% Mango
3% Papaya
2% Pineapple
2% Marshmallow

Should turn into a good sweet tropical fruit vape with the marshmallow to offer a better mouth feel and a bit of sweetness.

3% Double Chocolate Clear
6% Cheesecake (Graham Crust)

Chocolate Cheesecake.

I personally use ~~(on my phone here so excuse the formatting)~~ FIXED

  • Papaya 5%
  • Mango 4%
  • Pineapple 3%

And maybe 1.3% Peppermint for a touch of mint.

However, the Choco cheese sounds good thanks! Fixed percentages and formatting. Both were ridiculously off.

Might want to up the percentages for the chocolate cheesecake based on your preferred percentages. I'd never use pineapple/papaya near that high

My sense of taste is dull/bad, so I like stuff with sweeteners in them... Been striking out lately though, not really a fan of Mustard Milk for some reason (can really only taste the strawberry), the CerealKilla Clone is the only decent thing I've made. I really like fruity flavors, but haven't had much luck with custards/creams. Help a guy out! I prefer max VG and drip @ .2-.4 ohms on a MXv2/Derringer, but I am open to anything!

Holy too many options...

7% TFA Watermelon
3% TFA Marshmallow
2% TFA Dragonfruit
3% TFA Strawberry

Sweeten as much as you'd like...

Thanks. I just got the marshmallow recently. So I'll probably try without sweetener first. I have a few custard flavors steeping, but they seem to take a while to to come into their own.

Have you tried making one of the Honey Pearry clones yet?

by BoulderBakerover 10 years ago

I've made a couple, honeydew seems to be a strong flavor. Any you'd recommend? The most popular one contains apricot, which I'm missing.

The next time I try it, I'm going to use less honeydew, too. I like the one that uses honeysuckle instead of apricot, but you don't have that either. But you could try replacing 1-2% of the honeydew with one of several of your other flavors and see what happens.

All TFA:

  • Blueberry
  • lemon
  • Cotton candy
  • Marshmallow
  • Ripe strawberry
  • Bav. Cream
  • Dragonfruit
  • Vanilla swirl
  • Blackberry
  • Green apple
  • Caramel candy
  • Double RY4

Thanks all!

6% Green Apple
2% Dragonfruit
4% Caramel Candy
2% Vanilla Swirl

Should taste like a caramel apple with an added twist because of the dragonfruit. The vanilla swirl should help to smooth it out a little bit/cream it out some. Could also try Cotton Candy or Marshmallow @ 2% instead.

10% Blueberry Wild (4% if extra)
3% Lemon
1% Marshmallow
2% Bavarian Cream

Should be a nice blueberry/lemon cream vape.

Sometimes the simplest combos make the best juice. You could try:

Strawberry Marshmallow

8% Strawberry Ripe

6% Marshmallow

Edit: And then after you try it, experiment with adding Bavarian Cream Or Vanilla Swirl to your taste

Haven't tried it yet, but the same percentages would probably be good with Juicy Peach too.

Also:

Kiwi Cream

TFA Kiwi Double 4, TFA Marshmallow 3, Bavarian Cream 6

Maori Marshmallow

TFA Kiwi Double 4, TFA Marshmallow 9
