Raspberry Lemonade - a recipe for those who like TKO by Clutch
submitted over 10 years ago by EnyawreklawMixologist

This is not really a clone. I'm pretty sure TKO by Clutch is a just Lorann's Lemonade and Raspberry, considering the color of the mixture and it's potency. This is just a really great Raspberry Lemonade that people who like TKO will like.

  • FA Lemon Sicily - 4%
  • CAP Juicy Lemon - 1%
  • INW Raspberry Koncentrat - 2.5%
  • FA Lime Cold Pressed - 0.5% (optional. if you like a little more lime add 1%)
  • FA Meringue - 0.25% (optional, adds sweetness tones down harsh notes)
  • TFA Champagne - 1%
  • TFA Sour - 2%
  • Ethyl Maltol (5%) - 1%
  • Mix at 60vg/40pg for more sour and kick.
  • Steep Overnight
  • I THINK THIS IS A TANK CRACKER

TKO does not have much layers in the juice, it's just a nice sweet raspberry lemonade candy flavor. This recipe on the other hand has a little more to it. There's a slight complexity to it, you can taste the lemonade and lime zest upfront on the exhale with a nice long sweet raspberry candy throughout the finish.

The Lemon sicily, juicy lemon, Lime cold pressed make up the lemonade flavor. It's a very "real" and sweet lemonade with some layers to them. Lemon Sicily is one of FA weaker flavors, and lemon itself is often overpowered easily, that is why I had to use a higher than normal %. Obviously the Raspberry Koncetrat is the raspberry flavor, which when paired with lemon, really brightens it and makes it much more crisp, not tart. I really love the flavor from it. The Meringue just tones down the harshness and sweetens the fruits a little, like adding a little packet of sugar in your lemonade. The champagne adds a little fizz and bubble, not much though. The sour is used to make everything a touch more tart and well sour. I really wish this recipe was more sour, almost mouth puckering, but I am still working on how to get there. The EM just rounds out the whole recipe and sweetens another notch. You can also add in some koolada, for sure, or to really set it off add in a little green apple or FA Fuji to really add some complexity, Just an overnight steep is necessary to really bring everything together and allow the lemons to bloom and the rasp to chill.

I made this juice a little bit ago and didn't really think to post it since Lemonades are pretty easy to figure out on your own. But I got a couple emails from people asking what lemon flavors I use to make lemonades. So I decided to post it to show you how I make mine. I also wanted to use INW Rasp again so people who wanted to try my Rhodonite recipe had another recipe to use it in. I hope you guys like it. Keep Mixin

You could try some INW Lemon Mix, if you're looking for a lemon to slap you in the face ;)

Alright, I know this post is a month old and you'll be the only one seeing this but I still felt it was worth posting.

Here's the deal: I've never had a lemonade vape I liked even a bit. This likely stems from the fact that I don't even like lemonade that much. Go figure.

Now I've had this stuff on my "to do" list since you posted it. Meringue in a lemonade recipe? Hell yeah, let's try it. I've been trying to find a good recipe with INW Raspberry anyways! So today I finally had some free time. I sat down earlier and did some mixing and decided I'd try this first. Seemed like it'd make a good shake n vape, y'know? And so I tried it and...

But wait - let me interrupt myself real quick. Before I give my thoughts on it I want to point out that I've been dabbling with DIY since around 2012 sometime. I even went back and checked just for this and here was my first post to the sub in November 2012. I have tried tons of recipes, spent tons of time on testing mixes, and spent tons of money on flavorings and equipment in that time. If I had that money still I could probably build a couple of schools in a third world country. I wouldn't be shocked if it was found that 10% of the sewage in my area is just my failed juices that I dumped down the drain. Seriously.

And wow. This has, without a doubt, turned out be my favorite recipe I have ever tried. E-v-e-r. I don't know what it is about it, but as soon as I took the first puff I thought "oh my god I need to make as much of this as I possibly can". And I did. I told the girlfriend that dinner had to wait and I mixed up about 200ml and I do not regret it one bit. I've already gone through like.. 15ml in the last four hours or so. I can't put it down. I can't believe I didn't pay like $30 for this on some fancy looking website advertising gourmet juice.

Thanks so much /u/Enyawreklaw. DIY really gets me down sometimes because I'm a little picky but this is the recipe I'll keep in mind when I'm feeling like DIY is a pain in the ass. This is phenomenal.

Never change, man. You are a true baller.

Thank you so much for the props man! And thank you so much for the gold! I'm super glad you like it, mostly because this was one of my recipes that took much more effort to make. And the whole reason I like to give out recipes is so people understand there is absolutely NO NEED to spend $30 for a juice, so I'm super happy I saved you a little bit a cash. And you know what's so crazy is that I was literally JUST talking about this recipe to a friend like 5 minutes ago. Thanks again for all the props buddy, means a lot.

Have you tried alternative citrus/lemon flavors in this recipe to help with the tartness? I'll need to go back through my notes but I had 2-3 lemon/lemonade/citrus flavors I noted as having a ton of sourness to them.

PS INW Raspberry Concentrate is one of my favorite flavors =)

I've tried a few different variations of lemons, but really liked the flavor this particular ratio produced. Tastes like a really sweet homeade lemonade, also had to bump up the % to hold up against the Raspberry. And yeah INW Raspberry Koncentrat is so delicious. I can vape that shit straight

edit: also if you have a better, more sour lemonade mix lemme know I'll try and redo this recipe!

i dont know if its better, but here is my lemonade

lemonade base:

FA Lemon Sicily 0.75%

FW Lemonade 0.25%

INW Shisha Lemon 0.5%

TFA Champagne 0.25%

fruit: [can sub whatever]

TFA Strawberry Ripe 4.5%

FA Strawberry 3%

others:

TFA Smooth 0.25%

Apple Cider Vinegar 0.25%

total flavoring 9.5%

with the strawberry the lemon is still pronounced even at their %. i am still playing around with strawberries, especially after eating some real ones today...

you could add sour to that if you want more bite. i mix maxVG so dont need any sweetener. i was shooting for a nice light strawberry lemonade that would be a nice summer vape.

Bringing this back from the archives to tell you I've been very excited about this for a while and that I'm going to try this recipe out as soon as I get most of the ingredients later this week! More sourness though: I find adding FA Citrus Mix helps out. Made a batch of 5ml of this and it's pretty sour on the inhale:

  • FA Lemon Sicily 2%
  • FA Lime Tahiti 2%
  • FA Citrus Mix 2%
  • TPA Sour 1 drop per 5ml

Also added a couple of drops of FW Extreme Ice for coolness, but that's down to taste.

Thanks for this recipe! Super explanatory and I mixed up some of my own and it's delicious! I added koolada too.

I love koolada. Anytime you can enjoy something with ice, I like to use some koolada in it to see how it is, and it's usually a great addition. Also a great way to cure that vapers tongue, too.

I have everything except the champagne, make it without?

Yes please do. Champagne just adds a little bubble to it, but the mix is great without it.

This recipe is spectacular! I also subbed LA Watermelon for TFA Raspberry sweet and I gotta say it's my new ADV! Who would have thought meringue & cotton candy added to a lemonade would be this good? Props to you sir. Keep up the great work!
