Hello you amazing people! Long time lurker, side-bar reader, and prolific searcher here :-)
This recipe is one of my first creations that I am very proud of. I have gone through probably 300mls of this and am currently at the bottom of another 120ml.
Originally inspired by the song Coconut by Harry Nilsson and the song Join Us from Evil Dead the Musical, cuz zombies are green duh. I wanted something lime, sweet, and sticky that reminded me of my cruises to Mexico and celebration.
I am very proud of this recipe and very nervous. I would appreciate if you made some and gave me your thoughts after tasting it. I doubt I will be changing this recipe (unless you want me to make it into a custard!), but you may feel free to alter it as you see fit.
Without further ado... I present

Key Lime 2.5%
Coconut Extra 0.5%
Sweet Cream 1%
Marshmallow 1%
EM 3.4%
^^^(all ^^TFA)
This was the initial recipe. Shortly afterwards I got a chance to sit down with a juice maker who gave me some really interesting advice on creating concentrates. After that I made it into a concentrate in Ejuicemeup using 360mls as the amount to make which gives you a 30ml concentrate. Now using my concentrate i use 3mls of concentrate and then nic and VG. I typically do not add any pg to my mixes other than flavorant so this is a Max VG juice imo.
Bonus Battle Station
Hopefully this is long enough to not be removed or requested I remove it per the stickied post
EDIT: I also added this to e-Liquid Calc here
This is just fine =) you at least included a story / background
Plus, the flavor profile is right up my alley =)
I have to say BotBoy, you inspired me a lot. I have read most of your posts and have downloaded your excel sheet that i frequently read and study. When I was first looking thru it i saw the Zedd's Fruitstone and thought.. "That sounds yummy" and promptly went and mixed it up. As I was making it i thought to myself "wow this is an awful lot of flavoring for a juice.. but oh well Its BotBoy's!" made a 30ml popped it in my dripper and "OMG WHAT HAVE I DONE WRONG?!?!! It was at the top! Top means good right?? I followed everyth.... ooooooh its a BASE!!!" ~facepalm~
Sounds good to me. I'll give it a try with my next purchase. Favorited on e-liquid-recipes.com.
Thank you so much! Please let me know what you think :-)
Well, I have everything except Coconut Extra now. Do you think 1% of TFA Coconut will be ok? I know Extra is a little stronger.
Sounds good. I'm out of town but will give this a shot when I'm home. I'm curious how you came to 3.4% EM though?
There are a whole bunch of posts about cotton candy, which was a note I was going for. At the lower percentages it was just a sweetener from what I read. And people were using 10% for a pure cotton candy flavor. I didn't want to put that high in so i settled a little lower than half to get it. I got the 3.4% because when i first started I was measuring by drops, and by my calculator that was 20 drops
Second column is drops, 1st is ML here
Mixing this right now. I'm shooting for 30/70vg based on my current love affair with my Billow v2 though lol.
Edit: it has been made! waiting until i vape the rest of this tank and i'll try it out.
I am super excited to hear what you think!!!!
Good stuff! Concentrates are so useful :) As a side note, ELR supports flavor bases directly :D
Fairly low flavoring (7.9% total) - I like that! I have a question for you on the high EM % - Does the flavor mute over time for you? Whenever I've used EM, I think the flavors became muted after a long steep...
Thanks for the share! Sounds great! Do you think FA's Coconut would work here? Or any other Coconut?
I'm not sure if I'm allergic to Coconut Extra or what but if I even get a whiff of that stuff I have a migraine for hours.
Either way, I'll try a few different coconuts with it. Thanks again for the share.
I actually haven't used any other coconut other than Extra. But the amount is only 3 drops for the whole 30ml I'm not even sure if that is helpful information for you, but its all I have atm. You definitely would be better off asking a more experienced mixer who has tried more versions of coconut. But in the end It won't hurt you to try whichever you want :-)
So, care to elaborate or point me in the direction of finding more info on creating a base? I'm still pretty new to all of this
A base is like a standard set of ingredients or recipe that compromise a final product. Think of baking, there is always a basic recipe to butter cream frosting, and you can add other flavors from there to create an individual recipe, like adding raspberry syrup. Or like all "jello's" start with a base of gelatine and 2 cups of water. You can substitute all kinds of liquids and add flavorings to work from the base.
Most people are using a Cream base like Milkstone, or a Custard and building flavor profiles from there
Delightful! This is really good. Sadly I lost some liquid that spilled while filling my Goblin. I'm going to have to make more soon. 😀 Thanks for the recipe. This is a keeper!
YAY!!! I am so happy you like it!!
I don't like it. I love it! My taste buds always seem to take a day to get acclimated to new flavors. It doesn't matter what it is. I knew I liked it right away but it's developed into more. This is The Shit for me right now. The best e-liquid I've made to date. Thank you very much for the recipe.
Hey, I just wanted to say thanks for this recipe, I really love it. I have been making my placid clone a lot and thinking man if i just made this a little creamy i bet it would rock and voila I search and find this recipe of yours. It is very good.
FYI i used 1% Coconut(not extra)TFA and it works very well.
Question seeing as EM tends to mute flavors how is this after a week or two? I only on day two (:
Thank you so much. It feels soo good to know that others like it as much as I do. You know I've been vaping this steadily for almost a year, it was one of my first and definitely my baby. But I honestly don't think the flavor gets muted, but I could really just not be noticing it as much as others. Let me know your experiences!
Have you updated the recipe at all since this post? I find it has a little bit of a harshness initially after wetting the coils on my dripper. Have you ever added smooth to it maybe?
