/u/Enyawreklaw posted his first "Let's Mix" video over on ECR a few weeks ago which prompted me to look into this whole DIY scene. It was my first mix and I've gotta say, it's as good or better than my previous ADVs of Boosted & Mother's Milk and just gets better over time. I've since made about 200mls of it!
I feel like people are losing out if they haven't seen this video and worked up the mix themselves so I'm posting about it to give it some added attention. The cream base itself seems to work well with other fruit flavors besides Strawberry Ripe. I've also made a version using a tiny amount of Coconut Exra (TPA) which is nearly just as good.
The recipe is in the video's description if you don't feel like watching the whole thing but the video itself taught me a lot as well about the intricacies of DIY!
/u/Enyawreklaw is one of the best mixers on here. Try his apple/raspberry macaroon – it's phenomenal. Like, I'd chuck down $20 for a bottle good.
Where is that recipe?
Thanks so much for the props! I really appreciate it, and I'm pumped it got you into DIY. Anytime someone ditches buying premiums and opts to making their own, I feel I did my job. The more heads working at this the better. I hope I'll see you posting your own recipes here so I can try them. Thanks again!
I'm so thankful that you posted it and I ended up watching the vid, you have no idea how much money I'll (eventually, lol) be saving.
I'll be posting a clone of something soon that no one has got right yet but one got really close and I think I've found the missing ingredient. It's steeping right now but even fresh, I can barely tell the difference.
I can honestly say this video caused me to order everything for DIY. I can't wait to get started on one one hand but on the other I'm afraid I don't understand percentages well enough. Bought a scale so hopefully that will help. Math was my worst subject. I was sure I wouldn't need it it in my adult life. Haha! I got fooled.
I bought a scale too before I tried this recipe. I don't think I'd DIY if it wasn't for the weight option. Couldn't come to terms with trying to use all the syringes and general annoyances. Anyway, weight is quite simple and no math is needed unless you mess up and don't press TARE for the next flavor. :)
http://e-liquid-recipes.com/ does all the mathmatical work involved!
Lol I'm gonna do my best to remember to tare. I can see it happening though and I don't even know any other vapors that could vape my mistakes!
Perhaps post this to /r/electronic_cigarette. This sub is where he posted his video, and all the recipes he's shared.
I'm not gonna lie, I wanted this to be that good, but I still get a faint hint of cheesecake after a week of steeping. The best part about this recipe is the addition of koolada, it does give the coolness needed for an ice cream. After I finish the 30ml I made I think I'll try halving the cheesecake graham crust and replace the other half with TFA vanilla bean ice cream. I'll also use 75% of the strawberry ripe and replacing the other 25% with CAP sweet strawberry. And adding the acetyl pyrazine instead of EM because I don't taste much of the "cone" at all.
Absolutely play with it, I encourage it. Taste is 100% subjective, which is what makes DIY so much better. If there's something you feel needs to be changed to make a better mix for yourself, then by all means change it! I will tell you adding in sweet strawberry does change the strawberry flavor quite a bit. Think of taking this recipe, then drizzling strawberry syrup on top. Also AP will make the cone a little more "crunchy", giving a little more grain to the whole mix. You can also omit the MTS to further make the cone pop out. Mix it up and post your results!
Any chance I could get the recipe in a text version? I'd love to try it, but I do t feel like watching a half hour video to do so. I'll still click on your video to get you the view count.
It's in the video's description below it but I put it in eliquid recipes also:

I don't taste much cheesecake but I did use AP instead of EM which may be the key to hiding that cheese you're tasting.
That's certainly an... interesting choice for EM substitution.
how necessary is the biscuit? is there a decent substitute for it? Its the only flavor I don't have on this list
