Going through coils faster.

Hello lads. I recently started to make some ejuice for my brother and his friend. Currently they're using a simple recipe of dragonfruit and lemon lime from TFA in 50PG/50VG and 30PG/70VG combinations.

They like the flavors and the fact its far cheaper than local B&M juices but they reported to me that they find themselves going through coils far faster on my ejuice than others. How could this be? They are using the Kanger SubTank (Original) and the Joytech Delta II.

I have noticed that citrusy flavoring gunk up coils quicker. Citric acid maybe.

Higher flavor % will also gunk up coils...

I am running this at 7.5% flavorings. I've seen people recommend percents as high as 20!

Ok, 7.5% is not high, so it must be either the lemon/lime or the dragonfruit that has impurities or maybe sweeteners or something like that... Maybe they just vape more, because it's delicious! ;D hehe

Citric acid does seem to do this. Are you adding a sweetener to the juice? That will also gunk up a coil coil faster.

No sweetener is added unless it is apart of the artificial flavorings.

Dragonfruit gunks my shit up fast as fuck. I almost guarantee it's the dragonfruit

Tfa Dragon fruit has Maltol in it. It does not have Citric acid so if it's the dragon fruit doing it it's the Maltol. Tfa doesn't have a component list for Lemon Lime so I couldn't see if it was the culprit.

Saline also rusts your coils, even though I still think it helps round out flavors incredibly well.

I agree with the others. Seems like it's the citric acid. Typically the things that gunk coils from my experience are sweeteners and ethyl maltol. (and possibly vanillan) I've had to reformulate (use different brands of flavors) because of this. Maybe eventually try a different lemon lime blend. Capella has nice lemon flavors and Flavour Art's Lime (cold press) is excellent.

Ingredients: Natural and Artificial flavors, Propylene Glycol, Ethyl Alcohol, Vitamin E, Polysorbate 80. The polysorbate 80 and Vitamin E is in question.
