One of the best E-liquid artist on the market. Yet very few or no clones available. I can't be the only one vaping this shit so before we start let's square base away first. He has said on ECF that it's 50/50 before flavorings. Seems like a good place to start. If a flavor does not have a manufacturer after it, it is TFA.

You get the idea...
Mellow melange has 1% holiday spice. If any of you have ever tried it, you know that is an absurd amount.
It's strong and borderline gross at even 0.3%
There are a shit ton of flavor concentrates that are disgusting and holiday spice is at the top of that list! However, when mixed with other flavors and steeped they have potential to do amazing things to a juice. So please, PLEASE! don't comment on particular flavors and say oh it can't be that or that's too much or whatever. I don't want this to be that kind of thread. If you have something positive to add to mellow melange please do...
I'm just trying to help. I use it in a fig newton recipe and .2% is almost too much. Saving people time is positive. I'm confused by your objection.
Thanks for the post though! I have been looking to use some TFA MaryJane.
Sorry, was worried it was one of those "I've never tried such and such juice but it's probably 10% this 7% that but definetly not this. Anyway you are right saving time and juice is helpful. I have a few m4 recipes that are ok. I'm missing something creamy. I've tried marshmallow, Vienna cream, sweet cream & vanilla swirl but can't really get it right.
One reason there aren't a lot of clones out there is that not a lot of people even remember his juice anymore. I didn't even know he had two more flavors released at this point after mellow melange.
Also, and this is hearsay, but I thought Murdock has said he distilled some of his flavorings himself. I know that I haven't come across an orange that has the taste is the peel in it, like I get from Agent Orange.
Then for those who do know, now there is direction to go in. These are not the end all be all. They are not 100% but at least now there is a collection in one place to work from and add to.
Yeah, it is good info, definitely. He is just one of those mixers who was insanely popular for the longest time, but has fallen out of favor. The makers of Gorilla Juice and Boba's Bounty are another.
"Don't even remember his juice" I don't even know what your saying lol. Distilling his own juice? Maybe. I prefer to think he plays by the same rules we do. And lastly I think your referring to the taste that the Mary Jane brings to the table. It changes the orange in a way that cannot be found with any other flavor on the market.
I just mean that his juices were from a different era of vaping, if you will. With the explosion of juice vendors over the past two years, there are still niches that creators like Murdock fill but they definitely aren't in the main stream.
As for the second part, like I said, that is hearsay. No definitive proof of it, just rumblings that I'd heard quite a while back. If the mj gives that taste, awesome.
Thanks for all this info. Here's some comments/facts to throw in there.
Pluid uses an ~ 4% essential oil "absinthe blend." Obviously anise and probably some fennel oil etc. But honestly, all you need is this - You can buy this at GNC. Use it at 1%. Ditch the TFA absinthe for sure. Mix the rest with fruits. I use:
- NOW Anise oil - 1%
- TFA Apple - 4%
- TFA Kiwi Double - 2%
- FA Orange - 2%
- TFA Key Lime - 3%
- CAP Pineapple - 4%
I vaped Pluid everyday for a long time, this is all you need to recreate it. I can't tell a difference to be honest. Cloudy and everything. 3 day minimum steep time due to the oil. Enjoy.
Bledan Lotus uses essentail lime oil. I've not tried to clone this with the oil just yet, but will be picking some up soon. NOW also makes a lime oil, so since the NOW anise oil is pretty much spot on to Pluid, I'd suggest trying theirs. Also, Bledan Lotus uses a slightly less amount of essential oil.
Every Murdock juice uses at least 5% sucralose (not sure on his two new ones).
Mellow Melange has a sort of extracted flavor in it, I believe since it's "seasonal." However, I use this mix I found at VU a while ago, credit to user mikeulon, it's soooo close:
- TFA Banana Foster (THIS IS KEY) - 6%
- TFA Graham Cracker Clear - 6%
- TFA Gingerbread - 3%
- TFA Banana Cream - 1.5%
- (Original post called or TFA Marshmallow - .5% and EM - .5%, but I don't use them).
I've tried about 100 attempts at cloning 710, but the cream combo he uses throws me off. I've given up but have made some nice tasting stuff in the process. TFA Dulce de Leche for sure seems to be in there. It's essentially caramel, vanilla, cream. Try mixes with TFA Dulce de Leche, TFA Vanilla Swirl, some caramels (not TFA Caramel Original), creams, and I've found some FA Meringue to be a nice addition. Other info:
Murdock said there is no tobacco, butterscotch, chocolate, coffee in it. He has only confirmed caramel. He said he created it as an homage to Madvape's Caramel & Cream and Maple & Cream.
My man, this is what I'm talking about! Very helpful!!!

This taste good fresh a little strong on the heat but that steeps down. Sent some of this and others out for feedback. Hopefully he post his thoughts here.
I wonder, I have never had Murdock's Pluid. It was around when I started vaping. Pluid and Boba those were the ones. Anyway I found a drink recipe, Absinthe, Orange, Black Cherry, called Monkey Gland... I wonder if a little (and i mean a little) Black cherry would be good. I tried making something like this but way too much BC and it was like terrifying cough syrup. I believe I have all this stuff I will have to go and give it a try.
If Mary Jane and Musk Candy equal the taste/smell of patchouli, then I'd say you're 90% there with Maha. The overwhelming flavor I got when I had it was that standard head shop smell of patchouli. So.. basically it tasted like some weird floral dirt. It's such a weird juice.
Ok so one thing that AO and BL lack is a enhancer that makes the lemon lime more sour. I've tried the obvious malic acid, citric acid and even tartric acid. They do make the juice a little more sour but they do not make the lemon lime shine. I've also subbed One on One Mt. Soda instead of CAP lemon lime it takes the juice more towards lime.
try inawera lime (1%) instead of capella lime.
Hey LongGlitch. I have a pretty amazing Pluid clone myself, I haven't tried TFA's Absinthe. I use LorAnn's Anise Oil as well. I put Mary Jane, Kiwi Double, Green Apple, and Ecto Cooler from FW in mine.
Would you mind sharing %? I would think anise oil would all pretty much be the same so I'm sure your getting that deep sweet thick anise Vape Pluid gives.
When I use LA Anise (8%) it also has the oiliness that's in Pluid when it's left unshaken, does TFA Absinthe do the same? As for the recipe (pardon my lack of HTML, I'm not sure how to use it on here) Kiwi Double 8%, Mary Jane 3% FW Ecto 2% Green Apple 4%Citrus Punch 4% LA Anise Oil 8% Sweetner 2%. It's close, but maybe not as close as yours, these extra flavors makes it more complex, but I'm 100% sure there's Mary Jane in Pluid, I'm smelling it right now and it's totally in there. It adds the wormwood essence to the Anise, to make it more absinth-esque.
Thank you for sharing! It looks great, I'm not a Pluid or absinthe connoisseur my rating is based on my taste. I'm sure your recipe will be very helpful to others looking to perfect their clone! And in my experience any oil I have every mixed with has separated.
