My closest find to nana cream.
submitted over 10 years ago by lil_nutsack

LA Banana Cream: 5.5%

TFA Strawberry: 7%

TFA Orange Mandarin: 2%

TFA Dragon Fruit: 1%

1 drop per 2 mL CA.

This is my adaptation from fizz's clone. It made sense to me so I tried it. Even if it's not all that close in your opinion it's still super good. It's all the best fruit + cream combos. Orange, strawberry, and banana. Enjoy!

From the feedback people have been giving me on my recipe, it seems like 1% quince with TFA smooth gets us the closest to authentic. However, /u/_bombies himself has told us it isn't dragonfruit, and told me that it isn't quince either, but I'm headed in the right direction. Since then I've been trying all sorts of tropical fruits, but with no avail.

I'd take everything /u/_Bombies says with a grain of salt, after all we're trying to clone his bestseller.

True, that's why I shrugged off his comments about taking another look at the Banana Cream and Strawberry flavors in the recipe.

I just bought quince to give your recipe a shot. But I've been adding 3drops of smooth to fizz nana, minus the CA, and it's so close to the real deal that I'm not gonna bother with it much any more. By the sounds of it, people are dropping the quince in your recipe to 1% and throwing in some smooth. Is that correct?

Yupppp that's what it's become. Eventually I'll find the secret ingredient, but for now 1% quince with smooth gets it extremely close.

What percentage on the smooth?

> 4 drops of smooth and 3 drops of ACV in a 30ml tester

not much by way of %

ACV? Wow that makes me feel stupid here I thought I knew most every additive.

Am I correct in assuming CA is Citric Acid?

Does tfa banana cream work as a sub? I'm guessing not

IMO the LA Banana Cream is 100% essential to any NC clone.

It works. Not as a substitute for this recipe, but still makes a nice juice

From my experience, no. TFA's is alot closer to Juicy Fruit versus LA.

Have you tried this without the addition of the CA? I saw that Fizz stopped using CA, and I have too. Just wondering if you'd tested with and without side by side.

I've tried his old recipe with and without CA and imo, the citric acid does make a noticible but not essential improvement.

Bombies himself claimed that he doesnt use CA or dragonfruit in any of his recipes.

I knew he said it wasn't dragon fruit but I wasn't aware that he said he doesn't use CA, do you have a link to that?

I'd give it a go if I had Mandarin... anything close to sub that you know of? I only have FA Orange, TFA Orange Cream, and CAP Sweet Tangerine.

I would try Orange cream. It would make it a bit more creamy.

hmmm, I'll give both suggestions a try. Going to whip up a couple of 10ml if I can get around to it tomorrow. Thank you!

Probably sweet tangerine.
