I have seen TFA Chai Tea recommended and used in recipes a few times and ordered a bottle to try. It smells great and I think it will be the spice flavor I was missing in a few recipes. But, the ingredients list for TFA Chai Tea include "Contains Cardamom Essential Oil and other Natural Essential Oils". Vaping essential oils is a known no-no, does this make it a non-vaping flavor or am I misunderstanding something?

edit - While I'm at it, what about Potassium Sorbate in TFA Green Tea?
It's safe. According to the sidebar, essential oils don't contain lipids, which is the real problem with vaping oils. I'm guessing potassium sorbate is as safe as anything else they put in flavorings.
Vegetable oils, mineral oils, and petroleum oils have all been shown to cause lipoid pneumonia. I am not an expert on how the "essential oils" used in e-cig flavors are extracted but it is my understanding that they wouldn't fall under any of those categories.
Some ignorant doctors have claimed that VG can cause lipoid pneumonia, but they apparently were asleep in organic chemistry class because glycerin is not a lipid or even an oil at all. It is related to triglycerides which are lipids, but glycerine in itself is not a triglyceride or a fat. (It is an alcohol and also a carbohydrate).
All that said, there is a chance that some juice makers somewhere are using dangerous oils in their e-liquids, so I would never say it is 100% impossible to get lipoid pneumonia from vaping. This is one reason I DIY (that and to avoid diacetyl).
