Just created a 98.35% accurate Looper clone
submitted over 10 years ago by agentdark45

Hi all, after months of tinkering and trying out all kinds of Looper clones listed here I think I may have finally cracked it. This recipe takes inspiration from a lot of the recipes floating around on here.

Recipe as follows:

  • 7% TFA Berry crunch
  • 2% TFA Fruit Circles
  • 2-3% TFA Strawberry ripe
  • 2% TFA Sweet Cream
  • 1% TFA Bavarian Cream
  • 2.5% FA Fresh Cream
  • 2% FA Meringue
  • 2% TFA Marshmallow
  • 1-2% TFA Vanilla Cupcake
  • 0.5-1% TFA Hazelnut
  • 0.5% TFA Orange Cream

Tasting this after 6 hours of shaking and the only difference I can tell between my version and the original is that the OG flavour is more "pronounced" (maybe a tad sweeter / more berry flavour), but then again I'm mixing this with all VG and it hasn't been steeped.

I decided to leave out the yellow cake and go easy on the hazelnut as the real looper is quite a clear liquid and doesn't gunk my coils like yellow cake liquids do. The percentages are a bit up in the air as I mixed this up fairly inaccurately with a syringe to make a 10ml tester, but I am confident this recipe would hold up in bigger batches.

Hopefully this will help out a few people!

Once this steeps I'm sure it will get there :) I don't normally post my mixes on here but this one really blew me away how close it was to the original.

Well start posting them ;)

We always enjoy people sharing their recipes of course. I'm always trying people recipes out given I have the flavors to do so.

Haha, I'm a bit of a perfectionist so I wouldn't post anything I'm not completely satisfied with!

I think you could cut down on the cream percentages / concentrates and fiddle with the overall ratio to suit your tastes. I have a feeling the FA fresh cream percentage might be a tad too high which is muting the berry / sweet notes slightly. You could also try knocking down the Fruit Circles to 1% as it's not doing too much but providing a very slight lemon note to the mix.

Hmmmm how does ~1.5% sound for Fresh Cream? Similar Looper recipes seem to have it around 1%, but i doubt the extra .5 will hurt. Im curious about the fruit circles too. 1-2% maybe 1.5% lol, meet in the middle.

Go for it man, sounds about right and would probably get the berry notes to come out more.

Ok so quick update: after a day of steeping the creams and milk flavour has come out more and the berry flavour has diminished slightly. I think this might need further tweaking to help bring out the berry notes further or scaling back on the creams. I'm thinking of potentially adding blueberry / raspberry? Thoughts?

I think adding blueberry may work or maybe upping the berry crunch.

What about citric acid?

Blueberry makes sense. I think raspberry might make this lean more towards Trix cereal.

I'm inexperienced though, just thinking out loud.

Why not try mixing up 3-4 variations?

What do you think about acetyl pyrazine in this recipe?

I'm sure you could try it, but I don't get much grain or savoury notes in the original looper. Would certainly be interesting to get your feedback on it if you try a batch with and without AP.

We'll never be done trying to clone Looper :)

I will add that i disagree with the whole clear and not gunking part. I'm changing my cotton to get the gunk off my coils at least once a day when vaping only looper. I also bought a 0mg bottle because I was curious about it's "natural" color and it's actually pretty dark yellow.

I'll try out your recipe and let you know what I think :)

A Lomage to Hooper

I finally received my fruit circles the other day (vendor sold out) and when I opened it to have a whiff, it smelled EXACTLY like my bottle of Looper does. Put 2% in the cereal mix I'm working on and it's immediately really close to the original and I guess that's why I didn't think that the Lomage to Hooper was close, since it doesn't have any fruit circles in it. I think the percentage could be bumped up to about 3% though.

Looper is much heavier on the TFA Berry Crunch than the Fruit Circles.

1 points

by rooongeeover 10 years ago

It might probably be higher in percentage but the fruit circles have a tendency to overtake a mix, even at lower percentages. (IMO atleast)

Will defiantly be mixing up a batch of this soon. From what I taste in loopers is a very heavy marshmallow and bavarian cream. I Might have to reduce the citrus notes in here by 25%

Won't the berry crunch become harsh at 7%?

What about silly rabbit? And do you suggest cutting down on the creams but keeping the whole mess of them?

What can I say another looper clone. I have tried many and this is the best I have tried much better then the hooper version. However it's still not looper unfortunately.
