About to order all of this tomorrow, anything I should change/any suggestions?
submitted over 10 years ago by Tricker12345

Hey guys, I'm going to jump right into diy (I don't mind jumping right in, I'd rather get everything I want ordered right now so I don't have to constantly order things for a while) and I was wondering what you guys thought of all of the things I'm getting.

I started with picking out flavors that I wanted to make and I found clones on here, and then I went through them and narrowed them down to the flavors I really wanted and ended up ditching a couple. I think I have plenty of flavors to figure out other recipes, or to sub some flavors in from other companies and use those in other clones or recipes that I find on here.

Here is a spreadsheet (yes, a spreadsheet) of everything I plan on ordering. I'll be going half and half with one of my buddies, so I'm not going to be paying for all of it myself fortunately.

Edit: I'm going to be measuring by weight as you can probably tell by the scale, do I need anything that I don't already have on there that would make it easier for measuring with weight? I've watched several videos and read up a lot on this, but I want to double check with you guys and make sure I'm not missing anything.

Add Yellow Cake and Hazelnut to your FW column. Add Sweet Tangerine to your Capella column and Bergamot to FA.

If you want to make cereals, think about TFA Berry Crunch.

I guess I can spare a few dollars considering I'm already dropping so much on this, I'll add them before I get everything ordered. Thanks for the suggestion man

Your spreadsheets look solid. I cannot comment on mixing by weight as I go by volume. Im sure someone will chime in when more ppl are awake

We have a lot of the same taste and I'd highly recommend cake batter/yellow cake for doing desserty things with all your fruits(you have a shit ton of stuff to support these already) . I have a lot of this and just got some cake batter/yellow cake/lemon sicily and have been having a lot of fun.

It's a lot of TFA. Here's a guide that will shed some light on the other brands.

Mixing by weight is best and that scale is good for the job.

Why not buy your nic base up front?

I don't use nicotine, my buddy is the one that does, and he decided that if he'll probably just pick some up later. I offered to find some so we could fit it in the price but he didn't want me to pay for something I wasn't going to use

It's cool you're doing it together. Take plenty of notes and label everything you make.

Shoot I almost forgot I need a label maker, thanks for reminding me!

To ease any concern tfa is incredible, no problem with large tfa orders. The largest thread on ecf is tfa only recipes.

You have a lot of great flavors here, only one you don't have that I would highly suggest is FA MTS vapewizard. It really bring a mix together and gives it the maturity that most premium juices have.

What would you put it in? Is it a flavor or more like an additive to juices?

It's a finisher, helps to smooth out all the rough edges that come when mixing creams with desserts or fruits. Also adds a nice amber color to juices. On top of all, it makes the vape very smooth and very full.

Sounds useful, I'll make sure to pick some up with my order and try it in some flavors

Got links to the recipes by chance you chose?

All of the flavors I listed are on here except for looper and chai tea.

Here is looper

Here is Chai Tea (with cream). I'll definitely be tweaking this flavor and adding hints of other things to it as its a really simple recipe by itself. Personally I like to add a shot of coffee to my chai tea so maybe I'll find some flavors similar to that.

I'd ditch the blue raspberry tfa and get blueberry wild. One stop shop has a great blue raspberry slushy if that's what ur looking for. Its a great shake and vape at 12%. Very easy for a rookie. I'd also suggest arnold palmer and sweet tea from them. They're lucky shot is a great custard vape. All of these mixed at 12% will give you a great shake and vape. When I first started I made a few not so good juices. These gave me courage to keep trying. Oh yea and to also have something decent to vape without have to buy vendors juice!

It's actually for a specific recipe so I think I'll keep it for now, if I end up not liking it for other mixes then I can pick up some more blueberry flavors

Well then just keep ordering stuff man. You will never have enough flavors. Just when u think u have most of them someone post a recipe that u wanna try with something you don't have. This is a small order so you can't really go wrong. I'd buy 15 - 30ml bottles if i were you. You can even buy smaller then that if you want. Tfa has a starter pack with all they're flavors for like $150 and i believe they are 15 or 30ml. Get that if u want a bunch of flavors to start at a cheaper price . Trust me every week there will be something on ur list to buy. I keep a note pad and write down what I'm getting low on and what i wanna buy for the week.

I agree with you man, there are so many flavors that I still want for mixing, but I had to cut down my list so much to keep the cost down.

FA caramel is a great sweetener.

FW yellow cake because I see you like cereal.

If you are into apple at all consider adding Fuji Apple (FA). So crisp and juicy.. I add it to several recipes that are dry, in very low %'s. In higher %'s it is a wonderful apple flavoring.

FA- Catalan cream I use it in a few of my recipes. CAP- Cinnamon Danish Swirl. LA- Banana Cream. There's so many good flavors but these 3 came to mind when I checked your list.

I have dropped Vanilla Bean ice cream from my recipes, as I've heard time and time again that there is a danger in vaping it. I would also suggest adding TFA Vanilla Swirl, as it is an excellent base for a lot of good eliquids. Just my 2 cents.

I would add TFA Strawberry & a squeeze bottle like this one for adding VG since you are mixing by weight.

Edit: I would also order a funnel, they come in handy!
