Simply Sherbert
submitted over 10 years ago by LurkTr0n

So after countless attempts at making a Complex Sherbert with numerous ingredients I decided to simplify it. Sometimes the simple recipes are the ones that leave the best impression, and this one does not disappoint.

First a bit of discussion about the flavors used.

Capella's Raspberry and Sweet Tangerine. Just the smell of these two flavors can make you salivate rainbows. They have a very distinct "sherbertyness" to them that essentially makes this recipe.

Capella's Golden Pineapple - After trying this recipe with several other pineapples this one seemed the most fitting. It's sweet and subtle. When compared to TFA's pineapple that's sharp and overpowering. This flavor plays nice with others.

TFA's Vanilla Bean Ice Cream - as /u/fizzmustard said, it's a complex enough cream base as a single flavor.

Without further ado,

Simply Sherbert

70vg/30pg

Cap Golden Pineapple - %5

Cap Raspberry - %2.5

Cap Sweet Tangerine - %2.5

TFA Vanilla Bean Ice Cream - %3

Enjoy! Feedback always welcome!

I mixed this up last night, dropped the pineapple a little, and upped the tang, as well as added a little sweet strawberry, this is great. Excellent recipe man. A little koolada does wonders as well. This recipe is well balanced, and if you added a little more VBIC you would've turned the sherbert into an ice cream, so great job on that. This stuff is so good. Props

Edit; Also, good on you for posting notes! Don't forget to post this in the monthly recipe thread as well

Wanna share the exact numbers that you tweaked?

I just dropped pineapple a percentage, upped tang a percentage, 1% of sweet straw, and VBIC I kept the same. Also split the mix into two bottles, and in one bottle added a couple drops of koolada.

Thanks man! Will have have to try it with a bit of koolada. I do often add other fruits as most anything pairs really well with this recipe, especially sweet strawberry.

Exactly... if it wasn't called sherbert, or have such a great description, I would have been like MEH... but after reading, I just HAVE to make this now... saved your recipe to my app, ordering tomorrow. Lol

One does not simply browse this sub without a credit card in hand. Mine as well pick up FA Fuji Apple too at %1 in this recipe it gets a little Tortoise Blood inspiration going :p

What do you think about subbing the pineapple for CAP Golden Pineapple?

Hmm have everything but the CAP raspberry. Any experience with LA Raspberry compared to it? Might just give it a go.

Cap raspberry is essential. You could try, but no guarantees it'll be good.

Cap Raspberry is unique, I would not sub anything here.

Thank you for sharing.

Yea, I sent them an email. I've made quite a few orders from them, so hopefully they fix it. Otherwise I won't order from them again, and will surely share my story.

They're finally just now shipping it out, grrr. I had to send them a picture of both bottles, and took forever for them to answer the email. So another few days ;D looking forward to this one.

I haven't used any of these flavors before. Is this a shake and vape? Or does to require a little time to steep? I might have to try this...

Thought about putting a smidge of TFA champaign in there to make it all pop?

This recipe is solely for the purpose of being simple.

So that's a no?

I feel that Tfa champagne would not work in this application.

I can't seem to find Cap Sweet Raspberry anywhere. Checked bcv, ecx, and eliquidmart.
