On their facebook page, only 20 likes on the comment so I figured I would pass it along. They stated previously that it is possible to order straight from their supplier: http://www.vaperstek.org/
Dear Customers: As some of you may be aware North Carolina has introduced new regulations affecting the vaping community that will be enacted beginning June 1, 2015. This includes a new tax that will be assessed on sales of products containing nicotine. As a result, we are suspending all sales of nicotine, effective immediately. We are in the process of working out an arrangement where VapersTek nicotine, DIY supplies and an even larger selection of flavorings will be available to order all in one place! Our facility in Durham will become singularly focused on meeting the rapidly growing demand for flavorings suitable for DIY. We thank you for being loyal customers and look forward to handling all of your DIY needs in the weeks to come.
Sincerely, Your friends at Bull City Vapor
This is odd. The law very clearly states the tax rate is $0.05 per mL of consumable product. The definition of consumable product, per the bill, is:
> Consumable product. – Any nicotine liquid solution or other material containing nicotine that is depleted as a vapor product is used.
It's sort of murky specific to nicotine base. I mean, it is a liquid solution of nicotine, but it's not the end consumable product. This probably needs to be clarified.
RTS Vapes, also located in NC, has not changed anything as of today (when the tax kicked in), at least on their online shop.
VT nic is great.

You know, I was aware. The question is, why wasn't BCV?
This law passed A YEAR AGO, LAST MAY. So when I read that BCV was closing down for a couple weeks at the beginning of this year for a big move, I assumed they were setting up shop in a more vape-friendly state. But no, they move to a larger space in NC. WTF?
I wore my representatives out over this bill. I still wonder if bulk nic falls into this category. It's all about the tax dollars. This administration touts small business but in reality its about the $$. You can see now how this is effecting small business.
This amounts to about $1.50 for a 30ml bottle of commercially made juice. Now you know why cigs are so expensive as well. They have lost so much tax money on cigs they see a cash cow in eliquid.
I'll order my nic directly from vaportek but I'm not happy about it.
this is really all kinds of fucked up. i dont even know who to write honestly. its a small business killer since most B&M sales are juice sales. i hardly buy juice anymore as it is because companies dont offer <3mg solutions.
the government cant eat their cake and have it too. they want people to not smoke cigarettes but tax the very thing that keeps them from smoking. its absurd. sin taxes... load of crap and shows how much the government and gangs are so much alike.
So wait, BCV had only 20 likes on their page as of 22 minutes ago? Because it's over 600 hundred right now. If that's the case, their social media person owes you a LOT.
Vaperstek nic is excellent and smooth and flavorless, just as good as nudenicotine and maybe even better (can't really tell), however it will still oxidize and taste terrible and become harsh if you don't take care of it. I had the last 50ml of my 120ml 100mg/ml in PG nic go bad within 4 months. I kept it in a dry dark shelf, ambient room temperature between 50-70 degrees, shook well before each use, tightly capped it and covered it with sealing tape, but i think the air from shaking it then resealing it ruined it. Next time I'll only take out 30ml at a time and freeze the rest, stuffs expensive! TL;DR VT nic is pricy but excellent so follow the sidebar storage tips and don't ruin it like i did!
try stirring it instead of shaking it. less oxygen. also definitely only take out small batches at a time. you use so little of 100mg/ml at a time anyway. i would dilute to 36 or 24 even at a time. of course i am at 1mg in my mixes now.
Will do. Just switched to vg nic and since im mixing max vg thats exactly what im going to start doing; mixing it down that way its more homogeneous and less chance of concentrated pockets of nic
well looks like i will have to order nic direct. no biggie. also pretty much kills me buying juice now unless mail ordered [does the bill force tax on mail orders?]
of course i would probably pay the $0.05 tax on 100mg/ml as i dont need much of it for my 1mg/ml juices.
