The purpose of this thread is to gather the community to explore a flavor and it's many uses.
####We're not just looking for you to post recipes you have containing the flavor of the week, but looking for you to share your process as you develop a new juice using the flavor of the week.
This should help us all to better understand how certain flavors interact, and give us all a launching point to perhaps discovering new wonderful recipes.
###Please post new recipes created using this flavor as well as any and all tasting notes as main posts. Thought process is encouraged also.
This thread will NOT be in contest mode so the best flavors and reviews of those should move their way towards the top.
While I definitely encourage you to branch out with this flavor and use some more rare flavors, I would encourage everyone to keep it in mind that others will not be able to try your recipe and comment or offer assistance if they do not have the flavors you are using. I would also encourage you to use this week's flavor as the "main" flavor in your recipe although this is not required.
You BETTER sample and offer tasting notes on your recipe.
Good luck to everyone!
##This Week's Flavor is: Mango
Unlike in the previous monthly contest thread, I am NOT limiting this to any specific flavor from any specific vendor. After all, our goal here is to come up with perhaps some unique uses of the weekly flavor or combinations others may not have thought of before. This should allow for maximum participation as well!

Mango’s Blood
This is a clone of my favorite house juice from a local B&M. Many attempts have finally created a spot-on copy. Next step is to try to improve it – I’ve got Banana Cream on the way to that end but BotBoy’s Mango Cream recipe has me thinking that Orange Cream would have been a better bet.

Mangoberry Lemonade
This one is a work in progress that needs a stronger lemon flavor ~~and some percentage of the Strawberry to be replaced with Strawberry Ripe.~~
EDIT: Correction. Do NOT put Strawberry Ripe in this. Unless you want to vape a tomato. All I did was replace 2% TFA Strawberry with Strawberry Ripe and the result tasted like a sugared tomato.

I see you keep using TFA Mango and Cap Sweet Mango together. Does this give a better mango flavor?
I just got in some TFA mango last week but don't have the Cap one, so am wondering how important the second flavor is?
Very important. TFA Mango has that mango earthiness but can get bracingly perfumy at a high% and lacks richness and sweetness. CAP Sweet Mango is almost too sweet and gives it much body. Together, they are much better than either of them on their own. I haven't yet found a ratio that words for every mix though (unlike the 2:1 TFA Strawberry Ripe:Strawberry that works like magic). Sometimes Sweet Mango can overtake everything and make it taste like overripe fruit, but the same% in a different mix and you find you need more to even get its mangoness. I also just got FA Mango this week... I don't think I'd ever use it as a main flavor but am going to start experimenting with using it in a small (like 0.5%) amount along with the other two. It has the creaminess that mango should have but also gets rindy really fast as the % goes up.
In that Mangoberry Lemonade. Maybe a little FA Lemon Sicily might bring out some more lemonade tasting. I'm going to mix some up tonight and let you know how it is. Except with TFA Filipino Mango. Looks delicious
I just made an edit to that post. Don't use Strawberry Ripe. Tried it, result was.... ewwww... Let me know how yours turns out, please. Meanwhile, I'm going to go order some FA Lemon Sicily. Not that CAP Juicy Lemon isn't good, but it just isn't fully getting the job done by itself. I'll see if Lemon Sicily gives it what it needs. The first lemon flavor I tried was LA Lemonade. NO. In a mix, it gets lost. By itself, tastes like melted and watered down Lemonheads candy.
Yeah not a fan of ANY LA flavors really. They're great for cooking though, not for vaping. I'm going to use CAP Sweet Straw 2% TFA Filipino Mango 4% CAP Juicy Lemon 3% FA Lemon Sicily 3% and EM 1% for mo flava, also maybe a drop or two of Wizard. I'll give you the results tonight or tomorrow.
Edit: This will also be the first lemonade vape I create thanks to you. I've never really like lemonade vapes, or lemonade, but for some reason, maybe the weather, I'm really craving one.
I'll be working on a Creamy Mango, potentially including some of the following:
- Mango
- Coconut
- Butterscotch
- Cream
- Citrus (Lime, Lemon or Grapefruit)
- Almond
Something interesting I noted from the Flavor Affinities in the Flavor Bible...mango + basil + Champagne, I happen to have some Basil Extract here...Might give this a go instead. Will start playing with Sunday after I get my orders mixed from the week.
Alright so here's where I'm going to start.
- 6% TFA Mango
- 1% TFA Orange Cream (love the way this boosts the mango)
- 2% CAP Sweet Tangerine
- 2% FLV Vanilla Custard
- 2% FA Butterscotch
- 2% FA Meringue
Will report back Sunday with tasting notes!
Would love to give it a try.... if FLV was accessible to Canada. Any other custard that would be replaceable?
Could use CAP Vanilla Custard V1 @ 3-4%. Won't be identical but should be close enough.
For the record I haven't even tasted this yet but it damn sure smells delicious. I think the butterscotch will compliment this flavor profile wonderfully. Super excited to try it but I hate not letting stuff mingle together for 24 hours. FWIW, I mixed this MAX VG + 2% distilled water.
This looks awesome. I LOVE Cap's Sweet Tangerine flavor and have been looking for some good mixes with it. Also can't wait to try out my TFA Mango I got last week.
For the Vanilla Custard, what would you rather substitute -V1 or V2 of Capella's version?
Have you considered FA Custard for your citrus/cream? Sounds like that would be a good fit over the other custards
Mango guava and dragon fruit go really well together too!
Also lorannes tart goes well (in VERY small doses)

The Mango! looks good ^_^ imma try dat one since I've got some INW,TFA and CAP :D
IMO, it's a solid recipe on its own but has the framework for expansion. Thinking of doing a peach mango cream on my next session, possibly some mango custard....maybe mango cinnamon Danish. That one may end up god awful, but here's to trial and error!
I saw the weekly flavor and thought about your post the other day. Long behold, there it is! The Mango. I need to order more flavors again, ughh.
My thoughts exactly :). Just put in a rather sizable order through the 4 main suppliers...should be set up for quite a while on my "staple" flavors. The Mango Cream flavor I listed...I made it, but it's hidin in the basement until this coming weekend. I'm thinking it will be good as is, but I have yet to try it. If you/anyone does....do tell :)
How's INW Mango?
By itself I don't feel it is a very accurate flavor. It has a very unique and interesting exhale flavor that I feel gives a nice touch to the over all mix. It's not 100% necessary to add it, but I think it adds a nice finishing touch to the overall mango flavor.
I'm pretty new to DIY but I'd been working on a mango-centered juice, and I'm really happy with this recipe.

I think it needs something more. I have more strawberry coming in the mail, and I'm considering banana. I'm not sure if pomegranate would be a good idea but I'm thinking about ordering some to mix with the strawberry to try and clone tropical storm from Atomic Labs.
I'm also considering trying to figure out a tobacco recipe to add to make a mango cigarillo style juice. I will update as my recipes with this progress :D

Mixed this up about an hour ago and I am almost half way through my 10ml test batch! My girlfriend loves this cocktail from a bar we go to quite a bit, which has the mango ginger lime combo. Since mango is the flavor of the week I figured I'd give it a go.
The mango is at the front end of this vape and would probably benefit from some Cap Sweet mango, as suggested above, which I am awaiting in the mail currently. So feel free to play with that.
All of the back notes come through really nicely. The lime and ginger being the most prominent. The marshmallow was an afterthought. Without it this vape was drying my mouth out quite a bit, although I think the flavor was better before I added it in.
This is the first iteration of this recipe so I'll probably tweak it a bit once I let it steep and see what its going to do. This is probably my favorite original recipe Ive come up with since I jumped in to this about a month ago. Enjoy!

Care to share thought process/tasting notes/development notes?
I've made with individual mangos, but mixing them wirh a little more tfa seems to be the sweet spot.
I like the tfa mango flavor, but the capella adds a bite similar to real mango and isn't as "dry".
Adding the drops of loranne isn't needed, but rounds out the flavor with some extra body and pizazz. Same with the capella watermelon.
I just recently started using citric acid and it is amazing! It adds an extra bite. But you really only need one drop for every 10 - 30ml as it is strong.

I've spent a lot of time messing around with various Mangos, can easily without doubt say that TFA mango is the best. The others just taste off. Also dont even bother trying it with guava it just doesnt seem to blend well enough. Maybe I just need to lower guava into the 1% range.
My fav at the min is TFA mango 12% and TFA papaya 6%. I've also tried passionfruit with it, unfortunately that's not the best either. Next steps will be Dragonfruit or some sort of fresh tangy orange
I started working a recipe yesterday, coincidently featuring this week's flavor.

High % flavor (19.8%) I know.. it seemed pretty good after tweaking it a bit so I made 30ml but after leaving it open overnight and very gentle water bath today, it seems to have gotten slightly more perfumey. Quite the opposite of what I was expecting! Its probably too strong... I think diluting the entire batch 10-15%% will fix it, will probably use straight VG. and fix my nic content.
Somewhat relevant - would TFA Mango be good to vape on it's own? What % would you recommend?
All TFA
- 8% Mango
- 4% Peach
- 2% Pineapple
- 1% Orange Cream
- .75% Wintergreen (Completely optional)
Adding the Wintergreen will completely mute the Peach and Pineapple and turn it into just Mango and Wintergreen, but damn its good. Mango with wintergreen may be my favorite combo now. Without the Wintergreen (Can't tell which i like more) its a fantastic Mango upfront with that fantastic popular Pineapple/Peach combo in the background. This was an old failed recipe because I could never taste the mango. Added that orange cream and BOOM. Maybe its a placebo effect but I really think that Orange Cream helped the Mango. Thanks for that idea Botboy. Gonna go try that with all my failed Mango recipes now haha.
I've found that for everything mango, I get the best results by using both TFA Mango and CAP Sweet Mango. I haven't found a ratio that works perfectly for every mix, sometimes Sweet Mango can take over and make everything taste like rotten fruit but sometimes I need more of it to even taste the mango-ness. But regardless of the %s used, those two are always better together than they are separately.
I only have a tiny sample of mango that was a bonus in my last order so I'm not going to be able to try many variations. What I would like to replicate though is a mango Weiss ice cream.
It is basically mango ice, mango compote, vanilla ice cream and macadamias.
I don't have any macadamia or vanilla bean ice cream but I will start off with:
CAP French vanilla v2 - 4%
TFA Mango - 4%
CAP Marshmallow - 2%
I'm not sure if pecan or hazelnut will work but they are the only nut flavours I have. Maybe a teeny bit of hazelnut, could be better of leaving it out though.
I call this one Citrone. It needs a bit more of that slightly bitter energy drink taste, but its a pretty powerful flavor.
Using all TFA Flavors.

I'm going for a mango sticky rice. The rice base came from /u/redruffensore, and it seems to work pretty well. Just recently got some mango flavors in and I've been trying different things. Freshly mixed, the best seems to be
- TFA Toasted Almond 5%
- FA Coconut 1%
- CAP Sweet Mango 3%
- INW Mango 1%
I also added a drop of FF Ginger to one of my 10ml samples that came out pretty good too. It's been a little bit since I've had sticky rice, so I'd love to hear some feedback if anyone can mix this up.
Ugh I don't have INW Mango =(. Almost out of toasted almond too! Time for more orders I guess!
Made it better:
- Toasted Almond (TFA) 4.00%
- Coconut (FA) 1.00%
- Mango (INW) 1.00%
- Sweet Mango (Cap) 3.00%
- Vanilla Swirl (TFA) 1.30%
- Bavarian Cream (TFA) 2.00%
Got some DKS and OoO stuff on the way to try out for a better rice part, but regardless, this is pretty tasty where it's at.
